Chapter 1045 He Learned It From You

Waverly shook her head, "It's nothing. Maybe I'm just a little tired. You're still sick, I won't disturb you anymore. Have a good rest and remember to eat more."
"Why would I be bothered if you call me? I've been waiting for your call all this time," Bellamy said before she could hang up the phone.
"Well, I didn't want others to find me, so I arranged a car accident and lost my mobile phone. I couldn't call you in time to talk to you, but when you see Yasmine, you should have guessed what I have done. We have this kind of connection," she said with a smile.
Bellamy didn't like this smile of hers. It looked very bitter and painful. This sight brought an unpleasant feeling to his heart. It was heavy and it also stung, "I'll bring you back honorably."
"Okay," Waverly responded. "I'll hang up now. Let's talk again next time."
She hung up after saying the last sentence. She did not allow a chance for Bellamy to speak.
"Madam, I feel that you've changed," Hayley said.
Waverly looked at her and asked, "How so?"
"You used to be reluctant to hang up on the President's phone call," Hayley said.
She hung up because she was emotional.
Given Bellamy's strategy, he could easily force Yasmine away in the blink of an eye.
It wasn't inability, but hesitation to make her leave.
The moment she heard that he was worried that Madam Lenny might become an enemy, multiple problems had arisen.
This was right, too. Madam Lenny's position in M Country was too influential. Offending her would immediately cause retaliation.
She didn't want to complain, she didn't want to blame him, and she didn't want to vent her emotions on the man she loved.
However, she was too rational and distinct. It was making herself sad instead.
Waverly didn't answer Hayley. She lowered her head and ate a mouthful of food, but in her heart, she felt heavy. It was as if a heavy weight was causing her heart to ache and hurt.
She put down her cutlery. Then, she walked to the window and opened it.
As the cold wind blew in, she tried to feel nature's air with her heart and did not allow herself to think too much.
Downstairs, several cars drove over.
Hayley looked in the direction of the cars.
Joseph got down from the car. His head rose up, and he looked in her direction.
Hayley's eyes opened in shock, "Madam, Joseph is back."
"Okay," Waverly responded faintly. She was expressionless and her eyes remained blank.
Joseph withdrew his gaze and hurriedly walked into the villa.
She was still standing by the window. She breathed in a big breath of air as a battle was about to begin.
After a while, the door was opened.
She turned to look, but Joseph was already by her side.
She wasn't speaking. As he lifted her chin, his lips fell onto hers.
His temperature was higher than she had imagined.
She stood by the window for a while. As such, apart from her lips, her body was also cold.
He did not continue but frowned instead, "Why didn't you wear one more layer of clothes when you stood by the window? If you fall sick, you are the only one who will suffer."
Her gaze was fixed on him. She had a lot of questions, but she felt that it was rather redundant to ask. He would not tell her his true thoughts either. There were thousands of words, but she couldn't get them out of her head. Instead, she said, "Are you hungry? The food is cold. You'd better ask the kitchen to heat it up before eating."
With a smile on his face, he looked very happy. He closed the window and said, "Eat with me later. You're already thin. You've been starving in the small house for three days. You're all skin and bones. Were you planning to compete in a beauty pageant for skeletons?"
"What you fell in love with wasn't my appearance. There's no need for a beauty pageant." Waverly sat down at the table and found that Hayley was no longer there.
Joseph looked at the maid and ordered, "Take the food to the kitchen and heat it up."
"Yes, Sir." The maid took the dishes and went out.
Joseph sat opposite of her and his eyes were full of thoughts. His eyes were deep like the Milky Way, filled with rivers of stars.
She just allowed him to look. She didn't speak; she didn't want to talk nor think about anything. She held her face in her palms, lowered her eyes and subconsciously drew waves on the table with her fingers.
One minute passed, then two. Another ten minutes passed...
Unable to retain her composure, she asked, "How long are you planning to stare?"
"Are you afraid of me staring?" He asked back. He was smiling with a hint of lethargy and leisure.
She stared back at him, "Are you afraid of me staring?"
"Stare all you want," he said in a generous manner and did not look away.
Even if Waverly had turned into ashes, she would never forget his face. He had a beautiful face unlike a villain's. He had a cunning smile that was able to make any girl go crazy. A mysterious yet powerful aura gave him an enchanting character. Once he is happy, he becomes a person that is respected and envied by plenty, even liked by elders.
However, she knew of the vile nature under his facade, which was the complete opposite of his appearance. He was like a vixen who was good at bewitching others.
He was a male vixen.
Waverly looked away and lowered her head. She said, "Who would want to stare?"
With a smile, he pinched her cheek and let her face him, "You don't want to stare?"
Her eyes dropped, "There's nothing to look at."
"They say that I'm handsome and better looking than Bellamy. You don't have good tastes, but you have a good eye, right?"
She sneered and pushed Joseph's hand aside, "So that's how they've been lying to you? Don't you even know your own limits? Or do you like to deceive yourself?"
He frowned and raised his voice, "Do you think Bellamy is more handsome than me?"
"I don't think so, I know so. Bellamy's attractiveness is ranked first in A Country. Yours on the other hand, is it even on the ranking in M Country?"
"Oh, among those mobs in A Country, even a dwarf could be mistaken as a tall man. Besides, who told you that I'm not in the top rankings in M Country?" He retorted.
"I remember there was this ranking online. The first was M Country's very own prince, Ronaldo's son. The second was Gollin's son, Handover Harington and the third is my own uncle, Thomson Mccarthy. I didn't even see your name on the ranking."
"You should also know that people that know me would always say that Thomson was in the limelight. If it were to recast, I would definitely be in the top three," he said confidently.
Waverly rolled her eyes at him, "You're too shallow."
"Aren't you shallow as well? If Bellamy looked like an eldritch being, would you have fallen for him?" Joseph said sarcastically.
"You can think whatever you like to think. I have already eaten. You should eat. I'll go to sleep. I have a headache." She stood up.
He grabbed her hand and pulled her into his arms.
She might have accidentally knocked into his wound. He groaned and his face turned pale, "Did you do it on purpose?"
She saw his clothes start to get stained with blood again, "That's why Joshua is so foolish. He learned it from you."
He held her chin and kissed her on the lips again.
This time, it wasn't just a simple touch on the lips. Rather, the kiss seemed to get deeper with each passing second...
