Chapter 835 The Changes Between Happiness And Sorrow

Stella smiled slightly. "It seems that working at the hospital has put a lot of pressure on you. I understand you feel ashamed and that you have no standing in the workforce there. You don't have any other skillsets, yet you would feel bored just staying at home taking care of your child. The best thing to do is to come back to my place. Plus, you will get to see Elvis more. If everything goes well, you can also bring Starry over during the day right?"
Having been exposed by Stella, Anthea felt even more humiliated. However, when she thought about it again, she recalled that Stella was an expert psychologist. It was only natural that she couldn't conceal her true intentions from Stella's observations, so she might as well just come clean. "That's what I think. Madam Shine often goes on business trips, and you are busy with work. Needless to say, the Chief is even busier. At least I could do some cooking and cleaning around here."
"Okay, just stay then. Bring Starry over. Once Lynette gives birth, she'll bring her child over too. It's going to be very lively around here, so let's take good care of each other. I'll arrange for two houses next to the General Mansion. One for Elvis and Anthea to live in, and the other for Sinclair and Lynette to live in. That way, you guys can take care of your families."
"Thank you, Mrs. Milton."
"Thank you, Mrs. Milton."
Anthea and Lynette looked at each other and lowered their heads.
Stella raised her smile. She could tell what they were both thinking about. It was good that she had solved the problem.
"You guys must be hungry. Let's eat," Suzi said with a smile.
Stella called Jasper.
Jasper declined the call. He replied with a message, "I'm still in a meeting. You can have your meal first. Don't wait for me."
Stella put her phone away. Before eating, she grabbed some dog food and went to the woods.
There was only a dog house between the trees previously, but now they had renovated it and made the dog house bigger. It was two stories tall with five different entrances.
Gracie had a husband now. In the first year, they gave birth to two small puppies. In the second year, another two more puppies. The year after that, they had four puppies. They had neutered all the puppies except Gracie and gave away the female puppies. Hence, they only had five dogs left.
However, at the rate that Gracie was having puppies, this dog villa would soon be too small for them to stay in.
Suzi suggested neutering Gracie too, but Stella disagreed. She felt like it wasn't appropriate since Gracie had a partner now. Furthermore, it wasn't like they couldn't afford to have more puppies.
She also found it fun to train Gracie and the rest of the dogs everyday. After feeding them, Stella went back into the house and washed her hands.
"I think Gracie is pregnant again. Her belly is huge, she'll probably have more than four puppies this time," Suzi said.
Stella laughed tearily. "Then I'm going to have to clear out a room. I'll let Gracie see her partner one hour every day. When the puppies are strong enough, I'll let them back out to reunite with their family."
"In another ten years, when Gracie's sons are older, she'll be the happiest dog in the world. By the way, are you and Jasper planning on having another child? You should have one before you turn thirty-five. There will be more health complications as you get older," Suzi said.
"Jasper wants a daughter, but I've been too busy with my work recently. Southern Bay has a lot of ongoing projects and I want to make sure they all run smoothly. Maybe we could stay trying after I'm done with all that. I plan to get pregnant this year and give birth next year," Stella said.
Suzi was happy because she liked children very much. "It'll be nice to have a cute daughter as well. If she looks anything like you or Jasper, she'll be very pretty."
"I hope it'll be a girl. We already have two sons," Stella said shyly.
After the meal.
Stella went back to her room and took a nap. When she woke up, Jasper was standing at the head of the bed and looking at her thoughtfully.
Stella sat up in puzzlement. "What's the matter?"
Jasper sat down beside the bed. He wanted to say something but stopped on second thought.
Stella smiled slightly. "I'll be even more anxious if you keep it from me."
Jasper hesitated, but he did not say it out in the end. Instead, he changed the topic. "Mom said that you're ready to have another baby."
Stella burst into laughter. "Is this what this is about? I think I want to have one before I turn 35. After that, I don't think I'll have the energy left to have more babies."
Jasper raised the corners of his lips. "I've always wanted to give you a wedding. But you asked to postpone it temporarily because of Eli's matter. Let's have the wedding this coming May."
"A wedding ceremony is just a formality. A grand wedding doesn't signify happiness. We can be perfectly happy even without one. Let's wait," Stella said as she lowered her head. "I wonder how Eli is doing."
"No news is good news. You've been sending her messages over the past three years, but she hasn't replied to any of them, right?" Jasper said. His gaze was deep. He was worried that Stella would discover something or ask him questions.
If she asked, he would definitely tell her.
"Mom said that Gracie is pregnant again. I have nothing else to do today. Should we go build the doghouse together?" Jasper asked.
"Okay, let's go," Stella got up happily and went to the bathroom to wash up. Then, she went to the tool shed to get the hammer and wood pieces.
They went to the side of the house. Jasper began building the base of the doghouse. It would be another two-story doghouse.
Stella had built a doghouse with him before, so she knew how to build the framework. She did the exact same thing as Jasper.
Jasper combined the two frameworks and fixed them in place. Then, he added the walls and the top floor before painting it. The next day, once the paint had dried, they placed blankets inside the house for warmth.
As soon as the new villa was built, the little puppies were ready to move in.
Stella looked at Gracie's harmonious family and felt warmth in her heart, especially when she could smell the fragrance of the washed vegetables wafting out of the kitchen. She felt like she had finally found her place in this world, and she didn't want to wander around anymore.
However, she didn't know that everything she owned now was the result of the shelter from the past.
Jasper had given her the Southern Bay that she had dreamed of. Here, she could achieve any dream she wanted. Although it kept him busy, he did everything he could to keep the bloodshed from the outside world at bay. That way, in Stella's eyes, all she saw was the beauty of a perfect life.
In D Country.
Many things could change in three years. Life, age, sickness, death, sorrow, happiness, separation, and union...
The rise of the sun signified the fall of the moon. As such, when an organization fell, another organization would grow. One would become stronger, and the other would become weaker.
Sean stood by the window, looking at the endless darkness outside. The specks of light could not hide the blanket of gloom.
He had changed his name now and was no longer known as Sean. His new name was Alastair Yaleman.
He owned the largest financial group in X Country and he also controlled the biggest financial group of D Country behind the scenes.
He had helped the current President of D Country to get to his position, as well as the Vice President. Therefore, he basically ran the entire D Country from the shadows.
"Mr. Yaleman, a lady by the name of Eli requests an audience," Alastair's subordinate reported respectfully.
The corners of Alastair's mouth lifted as he sipped a mouthful of red wine and said coldly, "Let her in."
