Chapter 1067 Though You Were Born on Different Days, May Both of You Die on The Same Day

"Wow! Madam, you look so beautiful, just like a fairy!" Hayley praised as she stared at Waverly with her eyes wide open.
"Hayley!" Bellamy shouted at her.
"Yes!" Hayley immediately stood up straight and saluted.
Bellamy initially wanted to joke with Hayley, but seeing her reacting so seriously, he couldn't do it. He pointed at her and said, "You're lucky that you are not a man."
Hayley looked at him with a confused expression, not understanding what he meant.
Bellamy noticed her blank expression and then said to Waverly, "Since she's always by your side, I'm hoping she won't cause you any trouble. She seems a little immature."
Waverly laughed in a low voice. She can't help but felt the same about Hayley too. "Fortunately, Hayley is quite obedient."
"Obedient to whom?" Bellamy asked in a meaningful tone.
"To the President, of course," Hayley replied.
"Come along with us. You don't have to be so uneasy," Bellamy ordered.
"Yes." Hayley saluted again and straightened her back even more.
Bellamy was left speechless.
In the banquet hall, the Department of External Affairs was welcoming the guests and they were chatting with each other.
After getting out of the car, Waverly was worried that Bellamy might ask her to hold onto his arm again. And if Joseph were to witness it, he would definitely be furious.
Thus, she deliberately walked a little faster in front of him. However, Bellamy held her hand.
Waverly was stunned. She turned to look at Bellamy.
"If we let Yasmine know that I value you, she will dare not look down on you and cause any trouble. After all, she knew very well that Ronaldo and I have become allies. What are you afraid of?" Bellamy saw through her thoughts and he spoke comfortingly.
"We are divorced, so I don't think it's a good idea if I go in with you while looking and acting all intimate," Waverly explained.
"We were forced to divorce and we have to let them know that even so, we can still get married again." Bellamy insisted and held her hand tighter.
Waverly did not reject. Her scalp felt numb and her mind was blank.
She wanted to get married to Bellamy again, but she was also afraid of Joseph.
While she was still in a daze, Bellamy had brought her into the ballroom. Almost everyone's gaze instantly fell upon them.
Waverly was nervous. Her heart was thumping so fast that she was afraid the crowd would hear it. She subconsciously looked for Joseph but couldn't see him anywhere. She secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
Just then, someone patted her shoulder.
When she turned back and saw that it was Joseph, her eyes widened. Her heart was filled with immense fear within seconds. She stared at him silently, not knowing how to respond.
Joseph smirked at her reaction, but there was no trace of a smile in his eyes. "Were you looking for me?"
"You... Earlier, did you call me just to tell me that you have arrived in A Country?" Waverly asked as her voice trembled.
"I don't need to report to you when I'm here, do I?" Joseph replied arrogantly. He stared at her with a meaningful look in his eyes. His gaze was dark as if he was waiting for her to get into trouble.
"You're right," Waverly simply answered and looked away.
Meanwhile, Bellamy looked at Joseph.
Joseph smiled as he put his hands in his pockets and said in an extremely provocative tone, "Pleasure to meet you, Mr. Chuck. Judging by your age, you are older than my uncle, so I should call you uncle."
Hearing this, Waverly was speechless.
She couldn't help rolling her eyes at Joseph.
Bellamy remained calm. Many years had since passed and very seldom someone could irritate him with such remarks.
He smiled and spoke gently, "Joseph, it doesn't matter even if you call me grandpa."
Pfft...
Waverly nearly burst out laughing upon hearing Bellamy's words. It would be terrible if Joseph saw her expression.
She hurriedly looked away and faced her back against Joseph.
"Hahaha! Mr. Chuck, you speak so well! Everyone says that you are amazing, and it is a great honor to be able to meet you in person!" Joseph laughed as he said.
Bellamy replied calmly, "We have already met when we were in Country M, but you're a busy man, Mr. Mccarthy. It is no wonder that you've forgotten about it. I suppose the saying is true; young and successful people hustled hard, thus forgetting about others."
"As compared to you, I am only young but nowhere as successful as you. It is a blessing to have seniors like you to guide us young ones so that we do not have to make too many mistakes. Mr. Chuck, you started off as an ordinary soldier but still gained the status you have today. You are truly my inspiration."
On the surface, Joseph and Bellamy seemed to be complimenting each other. However, Waverly was able to sense the raging flames that were burning between them.
Bellamy went along with Joseph's compliments and said, "Maybe it's because I started off being a soldier, so I understand the hardships they went through. That's why I am where I am now because of them."
Joseph shrugged. "You were promoted by the soldiers' recommendation? I thought it was through a conspiracy. I really have a lot to learn from you in this area, Mr. Chuck. You're like a dark horse that took the world by surprise."
"Really? But I feel you are much more daring than me. In order to succeed, you can even abandon your family. I believe that you will definitely become a successful man in the future."
Joseph's gaze shifted when he heard this. He then replied, "We'll see. After all, I'm much younger than you. Anything is possible."
Bellamy snorted and continued, "Say that to me again when you're my age, I think it would sound more credible. Otherwise, you would just sound like a young and spirited man with careless words."
"At least, I am young and spirited. Being young is a plus. Mr. Chuck, you're not young anymore, but your words still sound strong and it surprised me as well."
"That's subjective. What you have in your heart is naturally what you see in others."
"Do you think I am the person who you thought me to be?" Joseph questioned as he glanced at Waverly.
The look in his eyes was as sharp as a blade, penetrating into her gaze and making him look especially savage.
Waverly didn't understand why he had to bring her into this. Waverly frowned and said, "Since both of you share such similar thoughts, why don't you become brothers? Even though both of you were born on different days, may both of you die on the same day."
Bellamy fell silent
And so did Joseph.
"It wouldn't be worth it for me to die on the same day as him since I'm much younger," Joseph finally spoke after a while.
"In this world, there are many old people seeing their children die before them. Age is just a number," Bellamy faintly said.
"May I ask if you want to be my brother?" Joseph looked at Bellamy from the corner of his eyes.
"Aren't we brothers right now? You and Waverly are cousins anyway. If I'm not mistaken, Waverly is just a few months older than you. It's right for you to address me as your elder brother," Bellamy answered.
Joseph stopped smiling. His face was pale, and there was no warmth in his eyes. He coldly glared at Bellamy and said straightforwardly, "Haven't you and Waverly divorced? What is your relationship with her?"
"Even if we are divorced, we can still get married again. As long as we want to, anything is possible," Bellamy replied nonchalantly.
Joseph looked at Waverly and asked incredulously, "You're going to remarry Bellamy?"
