Chapter 1133 Smiling As One Looks At Something Unattainable. Life Is Short.

Cadwell looked at the files in his hand. They were very thick. He flipped through them briefly. There were twelve pages in it.
The files talked about a lot about the nation's history, analyzing the cause, the process, and the result of those incidents.
It also explained a few things regarding Queen Danina and Prince Caesar. It analyzed their personalities and gave a prediction on what the future would be like.
The analysis was flawless. Every word was written in perfect unison. He could prepare himself in times of danger, so he could exert the right amount of pressure when needed. Furthermore, she had given him two plans, one of which was to work with her and expand his diplomatic power in M Country.
She represented the Mccarthy family and also the highest level of weapons. Of course, if he did not feel that such a cooperation was necessary, they would still maintain a good relationship. After all, there was no hatred between him and the Mccarthy family. He would only back them up when in need.
Waverly came out and said to Boris and Agnes, "The matter of Mexiland will come to an end here. We will leave tomorrow. If you still have something to do, you can do as you please."
Agnes looked at Boris and braved herself to say, "Can you give me another million dollars? I have something to do."
Waverly nodded, "Give me your account number."
Agnes furrowed her brows, "Why aren't you asking me what I'm using it for?"
"Since I've hired you, I trust you. If you ask for money, there must be a valid reason behind it. I don't need to know the reason so long as you know what you are doing," Waverly said.
"You will suffer a loss if you keep giving money away like this," Agnes reminded her.
Waverly smiled, "Money is already a tool for exchanging goods. In ancient times, some people used a cow to exchange for a chicken because they wanted to eat chicken. Some people used a goat to exchange for a rabbit. Due to the fact that they felt that the rabbit was cute, they accepted the exchange. As long as they were happy, it was fine. Now, many people get lost in wealth and become slaves of money when in fact, they can be satisfied with what they have."
"Although I don't agree with that, I have to admit that you are very open-minded and worthy of my admiration. Thank you. I will definitely repay you," Agnes said seriously.
"Send your account number to my mobile phone and I will transfer the money to you now." After Waverly finished her words, she looked at Boris and said, "Do you want to go and see your girlfriend? You are going to M Country with me. Goodness knows how long it will take for you to return again."
"There's no need. I'm worried about your safety. She'll understand."
Waverly raised her smile, which was laced with a little bitterness, "It's because she will understand that you should not make her sad. She is patient and tolerant with you, but you shouldn't kill her love for you. She should be the most important thing in your heart, not me. Go ahead, I will be fine."
Boris looked at Agnes.
"You can go. Madam has my protection. All I need to do is transfer the money," Agnes promised.
"Thank you." Boris said to Agnes, then turned to Waverly and said again, "Thank you."
Waverly shook her head, "You're welcome."
She did not have feelings of love anymore and she no longer looked forward to love, but she still hoped that those people she knew, liked, and admired would have a good love life.
She went to the river and boarded a boat. She said to the boatman, "Once you reach the end of the river, return here again. I will not go ashore, so there's no need to stop. I will give you money at the end of the trip."
"All right."
Waverly got on the boat and laid quietly on the front of the boat. She closed her eyes and said nothing.
Agnes transferred all the money and looked at Waverly.
She seemed to be asleep, motionless, but breathing evenly. She looked calm like a sculpture.
Time passed by slowly. It was already evening and the sky was already dark. However, Waverly did not look like she would be waking up anytime soon.
Agnes was a little worried as she called out softly, "Madam."
With just a soft sound, Waverly opened her eyes and looked at her with clear eyes, "What's wrong?"
It made people suspect that she had not been sleeping the entire time.
"Are you hungry? Do you want something to eat?" Agnes asked.
Waverly retorted, "Are you?"
Agnes shook her head.
Waverly looked at the shore. The lights had been turned on and stars were scattered all over the sky. The view was breathtaking.
Remaining silent, there was no expression on her face. She just looked at the distance coldly.
Agnes' cell phone rang.
She saw that the call was from Boris, so she answered.
"Where are you?" Boris asked.
"We are on a boat. Have you finished your business?" Agnes asked.
"Send me the location and I'll come over now," Boris said and hung up the phone.
"Madam, Boris asked me to send him our location. He said he would come over to us, which is funny. Is he going to swim over to us? What a simple-minded man," Agnes said.
Waverly raised a smile, "Have you ever had a boyfriend?"
Agnes thought for a moment, "I don't know if he could be considered one or not, but he died without any illness. We didn't even start dating. People like me..."
Agnes shrugged, "It's impossible for me to have a boyfriend within these ten years."
Waverly leaned against the railing and looked at the lovers on the shore. She fell into silence again. It was hard to figure out what she was thinking.
When they arrived at the shore, Boris was there.
Waverly took a look at the time. It was eight o'clock.
She got off the boat and saw that Boris' eyes were still red, "Do you want to find someone to take her back to M Country? At least you can meet her more often."
Boris shook his head, "She's dead."
Waverly paused, "Did it happen today?"
"It was the day before yesterday. She was buried. I don't know what happened," Boris choked with sobs.
"I'm sorry." Waverly apologized, "If I hadn't had these matters to deal with in the past few days, you would have had time to go back to see your girlfriend. You would have met her. I'm sorry."
"She left a video for me," Boris said.
Waverly was puzzled, "Wasn't she in a coma? Was the video taken before her coma?"
"The doctor said that she woke up two minutes before she died. Although it was difficult for her to speak, she told me what she wanted to say through gestures," Boris said. His eyes were wet again, "I'll leave a year later. I want to go back to keep her company."
Waverly lowered her eyes and her eyes also turned red.
Firstly, she sympathized with Boris and his girlfriend and felt that it was heart-wrenching. Secondly, she actually envied Boris. At least he had gotten a lover and could stay with her. Although their love was sad and beautiful, all of her belonged to him after all. He knew what he was going to do and where he was going.
He was unlike her, who was still at a loss.
"I'll support your decision." Waverly said, "We will leave tomorrow at 11 o'clock. You can continue to accompany her tonight."
Boris shook his head and said, "It's enough. There will be plenty of time in the future, Waverly, I mean, Madam."
"You are older than me, so you can call me Waverly. It sounds friendlier as well," Waverly said with a smile.
For some reason, tears rolled down her cheeks.
"I know a good psychiatrist. Although he is not as good as Stella, he is quite famous. Let's meet him," Boris advised.
Waverly pulled up the corners of her mouth. Boris was a very powerful person. At least he was a good judge of character and was daring. Unfortunately, he was unlucky.
