Chapter 1043 Completely Solved
There could also be another outcome. Ronaldo managed to delay Gollin and with Joshua sending out Yazoo's recording to the public, the whole country would know of this. Gollin wouldn't dare to make a move, hence not killing Joseph.
However, Gollin would definitely retaliate. After all, Joseph did escape from prison. When the situation turns bad, Bellamy choosing not to pursue the case would be an even more essential move. More favourable conditions will also be available for him then.
Thus, no matter the outcome, it would definitely be in Bellamy's favour.
She calmed down and gave Yazoo a call.
"Waverly." His tired voice came from the other end of the phone.
For the past few days, he wasn't able to sleep as he dreamt of being arrested. However, he was fine with being arrested. What he was afraid of was dragging his parents down with him and making them upset.
The fear of facing the unknown and the uncertainty was more hurtful than just killing him.
He just wanted to be free as soon as possible, as he waited a long time for her phone call.
"Yazoo, your recording will soon be exposed, but don't be afraid. I'll make sure nothing happens to you. All I need now is your testimony. This will prove that you only caused harm because you were led astray by Wensen Harington."
"Okay, I'll do it now."
She pressed the recording key.
"I am Yazoo Moore. I was enticed by Wensen Harington to enter the palace with a pistol. I initially planned on having someone pretend to shoot Waverly Martell and I would be there to save her. He was to immediately throw the gun away after. However, what I never expected was someone actually opened fire and shot A Country's President. The bullet that was shot was also unexpectedly the same as the bullets in my pistol. I had a feeling that I was framed and that someone wanted to use me as a scapegoat. I am now in a military district in hiding. I hope justice can be brought upon the real culprit." After Yazoo was finished, he asked Waverly, "Is this okay?"
"Yes, very good. In a few days, this matter will be completely solved," she comforted him.
"You won't involve my parents in this, right?" He needed assurance.
He knew that his parents had been suffering as much as him and they were not living well lately.
"I won't. I promise. I will contact you again if anything happens," she said and hung up the phone.
After a while, Joshua came over, "I've already uploaded the video. How long do I need to wait for me to enter the palace and save Mr. Mccarthy?"
She handed the phone to him and said, "I just recorded this with Yazoo. You should also send this out. Remember, don't let others trace it and find out that it was you who uploaded it."
Joshua did not take her phone.
"I know. I have already uploaded it. So, when can I go to the palace?" He continued to ask.
"You intercepted the recording. Didn't you hear the first call? I remember that you were still in the room."
"What do you mean?" He was an impatient person, "Speak well. Don't beat around the bush and say things that I don't understand."
Waverly sneered, "It's not easy for Joseph to conquer the world with such a fool like you. Only good weapons can bring great success, but it seems that Joseph's weapon looks a little dull."
"What the h*ll do you mean by that?!" He was enraged.
"Get in touch with Thomson. He should need you," shy said. She turned around and her back faced Joshua, "Also, I'm hungry. Can you order something?"
He frowned and ordered the maid, "Prepare some food for her. I need to leave now. Don't let her leave before I come back. If she insists on leaving, kill her."
"If you even dare to kill my madam, I'll kill you," Hayley jumped up and said.
Joshua glanced at Hayley and said, "Kill that little sinister thing as well."
"Yes, Sir!" His men nodded and answered.
With her hands on her waist, Hayley said, "I thought he was better than Yadriel, but he only knows violence. He even glared at me. He isn't even as skilled as Yadriel."
Waverly calmly looked at the red plum blossoms on the table, "His condition was that if I leave by force. He was saying it with an intention for me to listen. However, I won't leave so you don't have to be upset or worried. We won't die for the time being."
Hayley kicked the chair aside and sat opposite her. She supported her chin with her hand and pouted. After looking at the flowers for a while, she looked at Waverly and asked puzzledly, "Madam, why are you so calm?"
Waverly had now thought it through and her mood had become better. The corners of her lips went up, "No matter what happens, it will all be good in the end. Why should I not be calm?"
"If Joseph dies, I think that the lunatic will really kill us."
"But we won't die in vain, so there's nothing to be afraid about. Don't worry. I have a way to keep you alive. You will be fine," Waverly comforted.
Hayley looked at her gentle expression and gradually calmed down. She laid prone on the table and muttered in a daze, "What do you think is happening outside?"
The maid pushed the door open and set down the dog that was in her hands.
Hayley's eyes lit up when she saw the dog. She immediately picked it up and said in surprise, "Doggy, why are you here?"
During the pre-arranged accident, Bobe's men took Waverly and Hayley away. The bag with the dog in it was left behind.
Hayley didn't dare to ask about it and she was afraid to ask as well. It was hard to believe that the dog was still alive and had now come to their side.
Hayley petted the dog's head affectionately, "I thought I would never see you again. My baby, are you happy to see me?"
The dog did not make a sound but wagged its tail.
Hayley smiled and asked the maid, "Do you have the dog food as well? Can you please bring some to me?"
The maid turned around and left. After a short while, she brought over the dog food.
Hayley asked Waverly while feeding the dog, "Madam, there is still one more thing that I find peculiar. How did Joseph find us? Has Yasmine returned from A Country?"
Waverly looked over to Hayley, thought about it and said, "Joseph should have known that I was deliberately hiding, so he must have also known that I had asked Bobe for help. I am afraid that he asked Bobe about our whereabouts."
"Madam, do you mean that Bobe betrayed us?" As Hayley finished her sentence, Waverly's phone rang.
She looked at the caller ID. She spoke of the devil too soon.
It was from Bobe.
She answered.
"Are you alright?" He asked.
"I'm alright. I am at Joseph's place. He didn't make things difficult for you, did he?" She asked.
"Joseph is indeed crazy! He took away all my weapons and I am now like a lobster without its claws. Does he have a hole in his brain? I can't believe he escaped from prison as well. Won't it all be solved by just handing over the recording of Yazoo? Was it even necessary to move in circles? He also almost gave up his life in the process. He's a straight up oddball," he grumbled.
"I'm sorry, I got you into trouble. I'll compensate you with the Thunder Gun tomorrow," Waverly said.
"There's no need for that. He offered me to work with him and suggested that I stop working with you. In the future, I will have whatever I want, including the Thunder Gun, so after thinking for a while, I decided it's more reasonable to work with him. I just want to tell you that."
Waverly was speechless.
