Chapter 844 Do You Know How It Feels?

She, too, wanted to leave.
However, Sean would definitely take his revenge on Stella if she died or disappeared.
"Actually, his life lies in my hands. I would like to see how he plans to torture and anger me," Eli looked at her missing arm and said, "I might be willing to make just about any mistake."
"Mm? You sound amazing," Reuben continued after her.
Eli smiled. She felt that she was pretty amazing too. She punched Reuben lightly on his shoulder.
Reuben quickened his steps and his face turned even redder.
......
Sean's car was in the front, while Eli and Reuben followed in a car behind them.
Reuben instructed Eli on what to do.
Eli memorized all her duties and the things she needed to pay more attention to.
"I will be nearby." Reuben repeated.
Eli's eyes curved into a smile. "You're younger than me. Let me count, you're younger by about six to seven years. Why are you acting like an old man?"
"You look like a girl in her teens," Reuben replied.
Eli laughed happily. "I like your answer."
She leaned back against the seat and recalled happily, "My father was the Director of a hospital. When I was 18 years old, I was living my best life in college."
Eli turned her head to look at him. "Do you have any siblings in England?"
"I have three older sisters and one younger brother. My parents are university professors," Reuben answered politely.
"No wonder you are so well-mannered and educated. Together with your good looks, you are like a prince from a fairytale. Those little girls are all in love with you. You're 27 now. It's a good age to get into a stable relationship," Eli said.
"Yes," Reuben hung his head low, looking very obedient.
Eli really liked him. He was like a little brother to her. If she had such a brother, perhaps he would be fighting to protect her now.
She looked ahead, smiling. She saw Sean suddenly turning around to look at their car. His gaze was cold and her mood was instantly ruined.
She looked away and out of the window.
The sky was blue with white clouds scattered about. There were also birds flying freely.
It was such a nice weather for a nap.
She closed her eyes and soon fell asleep.
She opened her eyes when the car stopped, but she was still sleepy. She complained, "I want to be a sloth in my next life so I can sleep 20 hours a day."
With a smile, Reuben said, "Mr. Yaleman is going abroad tomorrow. You probably wouldn't need to tag along. I'll give you more time to rest."
Eli's mood immediately improved. "Reuben, you're so nice. Thank you."
"Alright now. Let's get off the car. Remember what I said just now," Reuben reminded.
Eli nodded, took a deep breath, and got off the car. She walked toward Sean and the others. She followed behind them and made sure that she was as invisible as possible.
"Look, that woman doesn't have an arm."
"Are disabled people allowed in here?"
"That's Mr. Yaleman's maid. She's allowed to come in."
"Mr. Yaleman is such a nice person. He even hires disabled people. I'm so envious."
Eli looked at the gossipers around the club, and then at her arm. She was the one they were talking about.
People who gossiped were rarely people of class. If she argued with them, that would mean that she was stooping to their level. Was she going to fight back against someone who was below her?
Besides, it was true that she had no arm. There was nothing to be angry or sad about.
More importantly, it would be pointless for her to feel angry or sad.
Eli smiled lightly. She didn't want to care, and it didn't matter to her.
She followed Sean and the others to the golf course. The waiter brought the drinks. Eli lowered her head and served the drinks to Sean and then to his girlfriend.
Sean stared at Eli and smiled. He said to his girlfriend, "You were really good yesterday. That was the best I've ever had."
"Really?" Eudora showed a sweet smile, and her face was flushed.
Eli glanced at Eudora's face. She was pretty, though Yvonne was probably much more beautiful than her. However, she was cuter and more energetic than Yvonne. She was about 23 years old, around ten years younger than Eli.
She had read a magazine a long time ago that said, when men were 18, they would want a woman in their 20s. When men were in their 20s, they would want a woman in their 20s as well. Whether men were in their 30s, 40s, 50s, or more, they would always want a woman in their 20s.
She thought that it was funny. She lowered her head and stood aside. She remembered that Reuben had said that he would be not far away. She tried to look for him and she noticed him standing in front of the glass window.
He was standing at an inconspicuous place, unnoticeable if one wasn't looking for him. Yet, he could oversee everything.
Reuben was indeed a professional butler.
Sean looked at Eli and followed her gaze. He didn't see anyone. He frowned in annoyance and said to the air, "I don't want to drink mango juice."
Eudora said immediately, "This is grapefruit. Do you want some?"
Sean looked at Eudora, and his eyes softened. "You like grapefruit juice, right? You should have it."
Eudora smiled sweetly. "Because I like it, I would like to share it with you."
Sean looked at Eli and said coldly, "Go and get me a cup of grapefruit juice."
"Okay." Eli responded with a smile.
Sean's expression changed instantly. How amazing. She was very eager to leave his sight and get his grapefruit juice.
She went into the house happily and said to the service desk, "A cup of grapefruit juice please."
A bottle of mineral water was handed to her.
Eli looked at Reuben.
"Remember to replenish your energy. Be careful not to get heatstroke," Reuben said with concern.
Eli took the mineral water, opened it, and gulped down two mouthfuls. "It's so nice to drink water when you're thirsty."
She closed the cap and passed it back to Reuben. "Put it away for me. I'll get scolded if I bring it over."
"Okay."
"Do you always stand in such unnoticeable places?" Eli asked curiously.
Reuben nodded.
"How many years have you been with Sean?" Eli asked curiously.
"Two years."
"When I went to ask Sean for help back in March, did you know about that too?" Eli asked while thinking about it.
"Yes, but I didn't know what the context was. Later, I saw you leave in despair. The next day, I heard that you jumped down from Century Tower," Reuben said in a low voice as he looked at her with distress. "Don't do something so stupid again."
"I can't promise that, but do you know how it feels like to jump down from the 101st floor?"
