Chapter 847 I'll Spare You If You Beg Me

For a moment, Eli felt an urge to ask, "Could they grow an arm for me?"
However, she did not have the strength to ask.
She lost her arm because she had jumped off a building. She wouldn't have known that she lost an arm if she had died then.
However, he was one of the reasons she committed suicide in the first place.
Forget it, there were too many grudges between them. He hurt her, and she hurt him. All in all, they were a burden to each other.
She couldn't keep track anymore, nor did she want to. She was tired.
Now, she was more and more fond of sleeping.
When she fell asleep, she could have all kinds of beautiful dreams.
She could dream of the life she wanted to live in her sleep.
Although it was just her imagination, she wished that it was all real.
"Doctor, she had woken up just now. Why has she passed out again?" Sean asked in a panic.
"We will try our best," the doctor promised, trembling.
Eli slept again for a very long time. When she woke up this time, it was Reuben who was standing beside her bed.
Eli raised a smile. "Nice to see you."
She felt a burning pain in her throat the moment she opened her mouth. She endured it with a pained expression on her face. "I thought I wouldn't be able to see you again."
Reuben frowned and said in distress, "Let me take you away. We'll go to England, or France, anywhere that's far away. I can quit being a butler. I'm good at cooking, we can open a restaurant of our own. Life will be good."
Eli stared at him and muttered, "Am I still dreaming?"
"I like you. It just so happens that you are everything I'm looking for. So, let me take you away from here," Reuben frowned and said.
Eli smiled. "I like this dream."
She looked at her missing right arm. "Unfortunately, I don't have an arm. Let me try dreaming one up."
She closed her eyes.
"Eli," Reuben sat on the edge of her bed and grabbed her shoulder.
She smelled the scent of cape jasmine on his body and opened her eyes. Her eyes were misty. "It's not a dream. I always can't seem to tell between reality and dreams. Is it because I sleep too often?"
"Mr. Yaleman is sleeping. I'll take you away now," Reuben wanted to hug her.
Eli held his hand and stopped him. "I can't go."
"Why can't you go? Do you like Mr. Yaleman?" Reuben was getting a little impatient.
Eli shook her head. "From the moment he killed Haward, whatever we had between us had been completely erased. I am a very passive person. If someone likes me, I might fall for them. But if they don't like me, I would never fall for them. Reuben, thank you for liking me, but let's just be friends instead. From now on, I am your best friend."
Reuben turned his face away. "I'll take you away first. If you stay here, sooner or later, you will die. Last time it was your arm. This time..."
"What is it this time?" Eli asked.
"Nothing. Are you stupid? What are you staying here for?" Reuben picked Eli up forcefully.
"I can't leave. Sean is crazy now. He will definitely take his revenge on Stella. I'm fine. It doesn't matter. Everyone I have loved or has loved me is gone now..."
"You still have me. I'll take care of you in the future," Reuben blurted out.
Eli smiled. "That's why I can't burden you. Haward liked me. He took care of me, helped me, and gave me everything I wanted. Even in death, he kept my secret. But he's dead now. He said it wasn't because of me, but I know it is.
You haven't known me that long. Even if you like me, it's just a momentary feeling. Human feelings will change. As long as you are not persistent, you will eventually let it go. Reuben, I only have one final thing I have yet to settle. Please help me."
Reuben turned his face away because of Eli's words.
Eli turned his face back and raised an optimistic smile. "Because of you, I am content with my life. When I was young, I was frivolous and reckless. I did a lot of things I shouldn't have. When I was young, even the President liked me. I caused him a lot of trouble and pulled him down. When I was helpless, Haward adored me. Now that I'm old, you like me." She chuckled bitterly.
Reuben raised his face and said, "I am not joking around with you."
Eli's smile froze. "I can't go. Stella has always told me not to be impulsive and to be rational. I was too free-spirited and impulsive over the past three decades, whether with my career or my feelings. That's why I'm in this situation today. I can't be stubborn anymore this time."
"As far as I'm concerned, you're being stubborn right now."
"You don't understand. I only thought about myself in the past and I have never considered others. Because of me, my parents and Haward are dead. I can't hurt any more people. It doesn't matter. I am contented with my life so far. Please help me fulfill my wish, okay?" Eli looked at him pleadingly.
Reuben looked at Eli and gave in. "What is it?"
Eli laughed. "Put me back down on the bed first."
He set her down.
"Give me your phone," Eli said as she extended her arm out to him.
Reuben handed his phone to her.
After entering her Switchland Bank account and password into his drafts, Eli entered the address of her parents' burial ground.
She handed the phone to him and said, "I've given you all my money. I don't need it.
I don't even know if I'll ever have the chance to be free again in this life.
Haward had a fight with the James family a long time ago. I'm not sure where he's buried now. Could you help me check? If you find him, could you bury him next to my parents? He took good care of me. I'm sure my parents will treat him well.
If one day I die, please find a way to bury me beside my parents. It's okay if you can't do it. I won't blame you."
Reuben didn't take his phone back, instead, he looked at Eli with his burning gaze.
The door was opened.
Eli's heart skipped a beat. She shoved Reuben's phone into his hand and said, "Hide."
Reuben furrowed his brows. His face was unusually red as he went to hide under the bed.
When Sean came in and saw that Eli was awake, he smiled and shouted, "Doctor!"
After a while, the doctors rushed in and gave her all kinds of examinations.
"Are you hungry?" Sean asked.
She disliked being hungry. After all, she loved to eat. However, after being hungry for so long, for some reason, she felt no hunger anymore. She shook her head.
Sean frowned and gritted his teeth. "Is it that difficult for you to beg for mercy?"
"If I beg for mercy, will you let me go?" Eli asked in reply.
"Yes," Sean said matter-of-factly.
"Then I beg for mercy. I'm sorry. It's all my fault. I shouldn't have done it. I apologize sincerely. Please forgive me and let me go. I promise that I won't appear in front of you ever again and I'll disappear completely," Eli said firmly.
Sean's eyes were as cold as ice. He gnashed his teeth and said, "Kneel and beg for mercy."
Eli did not hesitate at all. She knelt on the ground and held her head on the ground. "It's all my fault. Please spare me and let me go."
"What was your mistake?" Sean continued to ask.
