Chapter 863 Don't Torture Me Too Hard, I'll Remember It
"I'll be with you since I'll still need to install the prosthetic arm. Moreover, they won't be suspicious if I'm with you. They will put their guard down if you keep torturing me. I don't want to be the one waiting. I've been waiting for five years in anguish," Eli said with redness in her eyes.
Sean became emotional, and he hugged her tightly.
Her decision to install the prosthetic arm indicated that she had let go of the past.
She had decided to stay and that she wouldn't leave him. Did that mean she was still in love with him?
His drifting heart could finally stay still.
Eli was still the simple, straightforward, and kind girl he knew.
Eli felt the urge to cry. Wiping the tears from the corner of her eyes, she said, "Don't torture me too hard. I'll remember it with all my heart."
"I won't torture you ever again. Listen to me, let Stella save you and stay with her. I will have peace of mind if I know that you are safe. Otherwise, you'll be my weakness. I can't think rationally around you," Sean said calmly.
Eli did not dare to look up at him. Her head was still buried in his shoulder. She tried her best to hold back her tears. She knew that she would start bawling if their eyes met.
It took a while, but Eli finally calmed down. Retreating two steps away, she looked at him and asked, "When are you going to let Stella save me?"
"In a month. This may be my territory, but it is also theirs. I'll take you on a trip to Paris for a honeymoon. Stella and Allen are very close, and Paris is Allen's territory. Stella will come and save you," Sean looked at her, reluctance evident in his eyes.
He did not know when they would meet again after parting ways this time around.
"How long would you need to deal with those people then?" Eli asked worriedly.
Sean did not answer. "I will try my best."
Truth be told, Eli knew that many of the men around Sean were Hodge's men. They did not know who was the mastermind behind them. He may have countless wealth. However, as long as there were Hodge's men by his side, Sean would be in great danger.
He must find them before he could allow her to return to his side.
However, it would be difficult for him to find all of them at once.
People could pretend and act well, and he wasn't sure when they would be able to meet each other after this separation.
"I have an idea," Eli said.
"What's that?"
Eli knew that the idea she had in mind may not be a good one. Even so, it might be useful. She said, "It was because of Natasha that you were removed from office. If you could get her forgiveness, you could then return to A Country as Sean Yaleman again. Once you arrived in A Country, you could replace all the people around you with Jasper's men, and slowly recruit your own men after that. I will go with you to wherever you want to go to after that."
Sean furrowed his brows.
Eli's idea was good. However, Natasha would probably want him to marry her in exchange.
Apart from Eli, he didn't want to marry anyone else. Even if she was his pseudo-wife, he did not want to give that title to someone else. "Let me think about it."
Eli nodded and said, "I'm so hungry. Could we have breakfast now?"
Sean said helplessly, "You are not in good health. You need to run every morning to strengthen your body. Otherwise, your skin will also sag when you get older too."
"Fine," Eli replied.
She also knew that running was good for her health and could prevent her skin from sagging. However, she was just lazy. Whenever she thought about running, for some reason, all the cells in her body would start resisting. "Could I walk every day instead?"
"We'll start with walking. Let's go back for breakfast," Sean held her hand and said.
"Didn't you already buy some clothes for me? I don't think we need to buy more since I'll be leaving soon, anyway. When I arrive in A Country, I'll ask Stella to buy for me. Didn't the doctor say that my arm has to be stimulated every day? Let's look for the doctor now," Eli said.
Sean's heart tightened. "Does it hurt whenever your arm is being stimulated?"
Eli nodded and replied, "It hurts. My chest also feels stuffy, disgusted, and nauseous. My head hurts as well."
"Why would you have a headache too? Let me ask them," Sean immediately called and questioned the researcher, "Why does she have a headache?"
"It'll be painful when we stimulate her meridians. Her brain was deprived of oxygen as she was too nervous, which will cause headaches and dizziness. These are all normal symptoms."
"How about her nausea?" Sean asked again.
"That's a normal reaction as well. People will naturally resist when stimulated by a strong current. The stronger they resist, the more these symptoms will appear. She will feel better if she could relax a little."
"Okay, come in the morning and get the machines ready," Sean hung up the phone, looked at Eli, and said, "Try to relax during the treatment. It will take a month at most. The more sensitive the stimulus is in the early stage, the more flexible your arm will be in the later stage."
Eli nodded. Her eyes reddened when she looked at her missing right arm. She still felt wronged.
She had given up the struggle to live after Sean told her to live a life worse than death. She resented and hated him, but she was willing to live a life as such.
She did not want to think about it anymore. She would only feel depressed and sad if she were to think about it too deeply, "Let's have breakfast."
The breakfast Sean had prepared was sumptuous, and there was chicken soup too. However, Eli had no appetite at all. She did not feel like eating anymore after taking a few sips of the soup.
Sean looked at her worriedly and asked, "Are you not feeling well?"
"I don't know either. I just don't feel like eating," Eli replied frankly.
"You have to eat something. Otherwise, your body would not be able to take it. You won't have an appetite after your treatment later," Sean held Eli's hand and said.
"I'll have some chicken soup then," Eli said while looking at the soup.
Sean smiled and immediately served a bowl of chicken soup to her.
"Drink slowly. I'll be back in a while," Sean said and went out to call Stella.
It was still dark at Stella's side, and she was still asleep when she picked up Sean's call. "What's the matter?"
"Stella, I'll take Eli to Paris in a few days. Bring your men to save her. Take her away. Let's make a plan. Also, Eli's depression is very serious. She doesn't even have the appetite to eat. What should I do?"
Stella woke up instantly. She sat up and asked, "Are you sure that it's because of depression that caused her to lose her appetite?"
"Yes. I'm sure. We've done a full-body examination on her, and we have also arranged for her to see a psychologist. You're the only one who could help her now," Sean said sincerely.
"If her anorexia was caused by depression, then her depression must be cured. It is unlikely that her depression is caused by food. The most effective way to cure her depression is to make her stay away from things that will make her feel stressed or pained. Alternatively, we could make sure that we don't pressure her into solving the things that haven't been solved. Going on a trip is one of the best ways to treat her illness. The second way is prescribing the right medicine," Stella explained.
Sean was deep in thought as sadness flooded his eyes. "Her depression should be cured if she is with you. Give me a month to heal her arm, and I will let you take her away. If I die, please take good care of her and our child."
