Chapter 828 Why Must You Do This, Why!
Sean observed Stella's expressions and her actions. "She turned off her phone, yes?"
Stella looked at Sean. She didn't want him to misunderstand Eli, so she explained, "She has been immature, but she was very happy to know that you were getting released. It is because of her that you're here today. She disappeared right after she saved you. This is proof that something abnormal is going on."
Sean sneered and turned his face away. His entire face was hidden in the darkness.
Stella knew that he was angry. More than that, he was furious, so much that he did not want to speak.
According to her many years of psychological research, Sean's small movements indicated that he had come to his own conclusion and that he was unwavering. He would not be willing to listen to anyone else's advice.
Perhaps it would be better when he calmed down.
"Are you hungry? Should we get something to eat?" Stella changed the topic and said.
He looked at Stella, still thinking about Eli. He asked in a deep voice, "Will you be able to get in touch with her?"
Stella stared at him, and complicated thoughts flashing through her mind. Even though she was a psychologist, she didn't know how to react at that moment.
She hoped that Sean and Eli would be together. However, Sean wasn't in his right mind now. Within him were hatred and anger that could destroy the world. She was also worried that Eli would get hurt.
"Eli had no choice. You must give her a chance to explain," Stella reminded.
"I will give her a chance to explain," Sean promised. "Just tell me where she is."
"No matter what happens, you can't hurt her," Stella added
"No matter what happens, I will not hurt her." Sean said in a low voice as he stared at Stella with a frigid gaze.
"I'll ask Jasper. Jasper's men should be following her. Plus, he has the God's Eyes. It shouldn't be difficult to find her. I'll get the address later and give it to you."
Sean closed his eyes and said, "I want to be alone for a while."
"Okay," Stella turned around and closed the door behind her.
Jasper walked over and looked at her worriedly. "Are you alright?"
"I'm afraid things are looking bad. Eli's phone is out of service for some reason. I'm furious. I can't imagine how much angrier Sean is feeling. Do you have Eli's address?" Stella asked.
Jasper asked in a deep voice, "My people are following her, and the God's Eyes are on her 24 hours a day. It's easy to find her. However, Stella, have you made up your mind? Do you want to tell Sean about Eli's whereabouts?"
"I think Eli owes him an explanation. After all, he lost his position as President because of her. He will forever have a black mark on his name. I feel sorry for Sean and I'm very angry. I don't understand why Eli did this. If she doesn't like him anymore, I wish her nothing but the best with her new found happiness. But she's gone into hiding. I'm annoyed and mad. If she feels like she is not good enough for Sean, then she should disappear from his life completely. She shouldn't mess with his heart and mislead him," Stella spoke with fury.
"Since you have decided, I will do as you wish. Give me five minutes to get her address. By the way, Sean has a lot of enemies in D Country, so he shouldn't go there. If he wants to go there to search for Eli, he should think twice," Jasper said in a deep voice.
"I can't even think straight now, let alone Sean. How could she cut off her phone? The way she is acting right now is so infuriating and frustrating. Even I want to question her," Stella sighed. She knew that she was being impulsive, but she was so mad that she couldn't think sensibly.
"I need some quiet time." Stella said.
"Follow me," Jasper said.
Stella followed Jasper, got into the car, and went to the field.
The sky had already started to brighten, and the morning November air was dewy, cool, and fresh.
Stella took a deep breath and realized that there was a log cabin by the side of the forest.
"We used to stay there. You could sit there for a while. I'll tell you Eli's address after confirming it with my men," Jasper said softly.
"Okay," Stella replied as she walked towards the log cabin. She had woken up too early, and her brain was still in hibernation mode.
She had to think this all over properly.
There were two rooms inside the wooden cabin. There was a bed, a chair, and an LCD screen hanging on the wall in the first room. The second room had a large table, four long benches, two rocking chairs, and some toys piled up in a box in the corner.
This was the place where she, Jasper, and Sandro had once lived together. She felt a sense of familiarity. In her mind, a scene of Jasper joking around flashed through her mind. Stella felt her heart ache.
She shook her head, trying not to let her thoughts run wild. Right now, the most important thing was Eli.
She analyzed Eli's previous behavior once she calmed down. If Eli really had no feelings for Sean, she would not have let her current husband save her ex-boyfriend. Moreover, she would not have disappeared if she was open about it. She must have had something in her mind that she couldn't say out loud. Since she had no way of explaining her behaviors, she couldn't face Sean and was forced to go into hiding. According to Eli's character, she had always been a very all-in or all-out kind of person when it came to love and hate.
Stella could only help if she knew what the reason was. She couldn't be angry with Eli's behavior like an onlooker. After all, she was the only one who could help Eli.
Jasper pushed the door open and came in. Stella looked at him with concern. "Did you find out where she is?"
Jasper nodded and handed a piece of paper to Stella. "She lives with Haward, and the two of them have a six-month-old daughter together."
Stella's mind went blank for a long time. "Six-month-old? Are you sure she's theirs?"
"By the looks of it, she is their child. But we haven't done any DNA tests."
"No way, is Eli out of her mind? Can a DNA test be arranged?" Stella didn't believe that the child was Eli and Haward's.
"Sure."
"I think I'll have to make a trip to D Country again. For safety purposes, I'm going to bring Eli to another country first. Sean can meet them there to talk," Stella said while thinking.
"I'll go with you," Jasper said in a low voice.
"Will it be dangerous for you?" Stella was worried.
"I'll make the proper arrangements. It'll be even more dangerous if you were to go alone," Jasper said firmly.
Stella nodded. She would feel a little more at ease with Jasper by her side.
"I'll inform Sean of my plans first. You get someone to carry out the DNA test."
"If everything goes well, the DNA report will be out tomorrow," Jasper said.
"Alright," Stella returned to her room. As the investigation continued, pieces of information were popping up one after another. Stella felt like there was a huge rock pressing down on her chest, and she felt out of breath...
