Chapter 991 I Want You Now, And You Can't Run From This
He went out to buy some food, which was quite far away.
Waverly did not go out as it was already past ten in the evening. She locked the door, showered, took out the quilt, laid it on the bed, and was ready to sleep.
Suddenly, her cell phone rang.
It was Joseph.
Although Waverly's cell phone had an anti-tracking application, she still didn't want to answer his call. Talking to Joseph would only make her angry and uncomfortable.
She rejected the call and set the alarm for six-thirty in the morning for the following day. Then, she switched off her phone and went to sleep.
After a long while, Waverly was woken up by the loud knockings on the door from outside.
She couldn't be bothered by it and went back to sleep.
With a bang, her door was kicked open, and the lights were turned on.
She poked her head out from the blanket and realized that it was Joseph.
He pursed his lips tightly, and his jaw was stiff. He looked furious and unhappy.
He appeared to be very, very angry; as if he was a time-bomb that could explode anytime.
Waverly was already used to his temper, so she sat up and grunted unhappily, "Why are you doing this? Can't I have a good night's sleep? Does your girlfriend know that you're here in the middle of the night?"
"I'll give you three minutes to get dressed and come with me," he ordered, with flames burning in his eyes as if he were going to attack someone.
Waverly scratched her messy wig in irritation. She had no choice but to put on her coat and go out. She didn't even bother fixing her hair.
Besides Joseph, there were more than a dozen people in the room.
Hanold was being held back by them. He was puzzled and fearful, yet he could not do anything. He felt hopeless and enraged at the same time as he glared at Joseph.
When Joseph saw Waverly, he tidied his clothes, walked out stoically, and ordered, "Take his eyes out."
Waverly's heart tightened. She realized that Joseph was referring to Hanold.
"Stop." She immediately went forward and pushed away the people who were holding down Hanold.
However, these people were well-trained in martial arts. They were strong and did not budge at all.
Yadriel advised coldly, "Madam, we'll give you three minutes. You are well aware that Mr. Mccarthy is the only one who can stop this. Go talk to him."
Waverly rushed out. Joseph was already in the car, and his face was still tense and looked as grim as it did before. He was as indifferent as Satan himself.
Waverly opened the car door and quickly cried out, "Joseph, please don't hurt the innocent. Our conflict has nothing to do with Hanold."
Joseph looked over at Waverly coldly. "I'm not the one who is hurting the innocent. You're the one dragging the innocent into our matters."
"He only promised to help me. Please let him go," Waverly begged.
Joseph sneered and responded in a sinister tone, "That gives me more reason not to let Hanold go. How else am I going to warn the others?"
Waverly noticed his murderous look. She turned her head and looked back at the villa. Those people were looking at Hanold mercilessly.
Hanold was no match for them, and neither was Waverly.
Waverly liked Hanold's personality a lot and was grateful for his help.
If Hanold lost his eyes because of her, she would never stop feeling guilty.
Waverly finally decided to let her emotions run loose.
She slammed the door, opened it again, and yelled furiously, "What the hell are you trying to do? Didn't you look down on me? Didn't you say that I don't even deserve to help your woman? Why are you bothering me? Can't you just stay far away from me?"
There were no changes in Joseph's facial expression. "About this, I think I have made it clear to you before. You are unpredictable, so I will not let you go. But if you leave M Country, I will stop bothering you. Do you promise to leave? Or would you like to see more people suffer because of you?"
Waverly felt like Joseph had pushed her into a corner, and she felt like she was being driven mad.
If she left, the humiliations she suffered before would be all for nothing, and she would not be able to protect herself.
"Why am I so useless?" Waverly thought to herself.
"Let go of him and take my eyes out instead," Waverly pursed her lips and said firmly.
"What would I do with your eyes? Use them as a drinking snack?" Joseph mocked.
"Then, what are you going to do with his eyes?" Waverly was flustered.
"I'd like to see if anyone still dares to help you!" Joseph answered through his gritted teeth.
Waverly really wanted to kill him and bring him down with her. With that, everything could just be over and done with.
Nevertheless, she knew clearly that she couldn't kill him with her skills alone.
"What can I do to exchange for his freedom?" Waverly stared deadly at him and asked with resentment.
"Come here," Joseph directed her coldly.
Waverly didn't have a choice but to clench her fist and walked towards him.
Joseph held the back of her head and fixed his gaze on her face. "Tell me, who do you belong to?"
Waverly knew that she belonged to herself, but Hanold wouldn't be safe if she said that.
"I'm yours," Waverly lied.
"Will you still be going on dates?" Joseph asked again.
Waverly shook her head.
"Say it." Joseph forced her to speak.
"No, I'm not going on any dates anymore," Waverly frowned and uttered.
"Let this be a lesson to you. If you don't want to harm others, then just stop what you're doing. I don't like disobedient girls, and you are too rebellious," Joseph warned.
"Can we let him go yet? Yadriel only gave me three minutes," Waverly pleaded.
Joseph picked up his phone, dialed a number in front of Waverly, and commanded, "He can keep his eyes. Tell him to delete his social media uploads and never let me catch sight of his stupid face ever again."
"Yes," Yadriel replied.
Waverly wanted to check on Hanold. However, Joseph did not give her the chance to do so, and his cold lips pressed onto her.
Waverly wanted to step back, but Joseph deepened his kiss, and his tongue entered into her mouth, wantonly intertwining with hers.
As Waverly was feeling suffocated from the kiss, he finally released her.
However, his eyes were scarlet red, and there was a different look in them. "Come up. I want you now."
Waverly widened her eyes and stepped back in fear, reminding him, "Yasmine is back. Aren't you afraid that she will find out?"
"Do you think she would find out?" Joseph retorted arrogantly.
"Women's bodies are all the same. Didn't you think that I'm not worthy? Are you willing to have sex with a woman who's not worthy of you? Isn't that just self-deprecating?" Waverly stepped back anxiously.
Joseph was very calm and confident. He knew that he was in control of the situation, and he gave her no options, "You have one minute to think about it. After one minute, my people will throw Hanold into the sea to feed the sharks."
Waverly felt that Joseph was a psychopath.
To him, human life was just as insignificant as the life of an ant.
Joseph was cold-blooded, murderous, and forceful. He was an incredibly horrible and violent person who killed others without batting an eye.
To put it bluntly, Waverly was just like a kite in Joseph's hand. When he felt happy, he would let her fly high among the clouds. When he was not, he would pull her back and drag her back down. If he were upset, he would simply cut the line and let her die.
When facing someone ruthless and powerful, the only thing she could do was remain submissive, patient, waiting for the opportunity to retaliate…
