Chapter 1062 He Will Give Her More
Waverly sighed. Before Joseph was satisfied, he would continue pestering her.
She had been deeply aware of his inferior nature.
However, she didn't want Bellamy to know.
She cared about her pride and face. If these things were exposed in front of him, she would feel embarrassed.
"I suppose that's one of my bad traits," she thought.
"Stop it," she whispered.
There was a moment of silence on the other side from Joseph.
One second, two seconds, three seconds...
Her heart raced. If he did not agree, she was afraid that things would go out of control.
"I'll prepare a gift for you," she said before he could answer.
"What gift?" His voice became languid. It was no longer as sinister and violent as before.
"It's a surprise. Tomorrow, I'll go back to M Country. You can pick me up at the airport, if it's convenient," she said.
"Okay." He added, "Mind your actions, you can't repeat your mistakes with some people. I can tolerate it once or twice, but I won't tolerate you for the third time. Do you hear me?"
"We'll talk about it when I get back. I'll hang up then," she stated.
She had to promise him. Otherwise, he would be furious.
Joseph hung up the phone first, and Waverly breathed a sigh of relief.
Bellamy's face fell as he looked at her. He asked, "Who was that?"
"A friend," she said.
"Boyfriend? Or is it the person you mentioned before that you liked?" He continued to ask, his piercing gaze directed at her.
Jealousy overwhelmed him. The pain was so great that he could not control his tone.
It was the first time that he had such a strong feeling. He didn't have it towards Stella.
He had felt lost when substituting Jasper's feelings. He had been indecisive. Fortunately, his reason defeated his feelings.
That kind of feeling was completely different from the agony he was experiencing now.
Now, he couldn't control himself. He cared, felt sorrow, and his heart ached.
"No," Waverly said. She did not want to continue this topic, so she looked out of the window.
She leaned back in her chair and closed her eyes. She had a bad headache and she didn't know if it was because she was sleep deprived, or because she was upset.
Bellamy was also in a bad mood. He held her hand and put it on his thigh, holding it tightly.
Fifteen minutes later, they arrived at the largest flower market.
The flower market had been surrounded by guards.
"The owner of the shop has been evacuated, and whatever you take, someone will take note of it. After we leave, someone will pay," Bellamy explained, still holding her hand.
Waverly hadn't visited the flower market for a long time. There were many flowers that she hadn't seen before.
If she was still residing in President's Mansion, she would have bought a lot of flowers. It would be good to take them back and watch the flowers bloom and fall.
But now, she was a guest at President's Mansion. Even if she planted the seed, she could not see the result. She was not in the mood to choose the flowers.
"You can decide," she said gently to him.
"This type of rose is good. They can grow on the wall and be styled. Moreover, the flowering period is long. Except for winter, it basically blooms all the time. After growing it for three or five years, the wall will be full of this. It will be a beautiful view in the spring. What do you think?" He asked.
She nodded her agreement and said, "Good, these flowers are beautiful, I like the pink one. The red, white, yellow, reddish white and whitish yellow ones are all beautiful too."
"This is a Snow Flower. It can be planted indoors with low light. Moreover, it is easy to care for and it flowers easily. It can be grown in water. It is excellent at cleaning the air of the room it's in," he introduced.
"There seems to be no place in President's Mansion that has low sunlight," she reminded him.
"At the east of President's Mansion. From 12 p.m, the sunlight will be blocked by the building. It's perfect for them to flower," he said.
"Alright, let's plant it."
"What else do you like?" He asked.
Waverly shook her head as she replied, "These are fine. It will take up a lot of time if we bought a lot. If we can't take care of them, it's better not to grow them, right?"
"Let's buy a few more. I want you to see a beautiful garden next time when you're back. This garden will be planted by us. When we see it, our mood will be better," Bellamy said.
"Next time when you're back…" This sentence was too beautiful. It was so beautiful that she felt like she was getting ahead of herself.
"This rose is in the Rosaceae family. It has an advantage. After cutting it and putting it in the water, it can bloom for more than a month. It is suitable for room decoration. Besides, the flowers are large and lovely."
"Alright, let's buy it," she said as she saw several rows of cactus.
There were many kinds of cactus. Some looked like fingers, some were round, some were flat, and some had red flowers. There were spikes all over them. Some of them were sharp and some were soft.
She took a fancy to one of them. It was a green cactus. There were many small thorns and red flowers on it. Before the flowers had bloomed, they looked like red torches.
"What's the name of this cactus?" She asked Bellamy.
He did not know either. He asked the expert beside him, "What's the name of this cactus? How do we take care of it?"
"Christmas Cactus, it requires a warm and moist environment and is not resistant to cold. It flowers in February and March, with a temperature of 20 to 25 degrees. Don't overwater it," the expert explained.
Waverly frowned.
She had always thought that cactus grew in a hot environment, and there was this kind of cactus.
The world has so many unpredictable things and she learnt new things as she lived.
"Don't buy it." She said and stood up, "20 to 25 degrees; it can only live for a spring season. That's too short."
"Then do you want anything else? Peach trees can live for a long time. When they bloom, they are beautiful. There will be fruits, too," Bellamy asked.
She nodded and said, "I'll just buy some more peach blossoms. That's enough."
"Alright." He looked at his subordinates.
His subordinates moved the flowers to the car.
Waverly didn't buy any other flowers. He bought a truck of multiflora roses and a truck of roses.
As soon as they left, the police guards left too, leaving the media and some of Bellamy's subordinates to interview them.
Joseph looked at the scene with a faint smile, and the corner of his mouth quivered.
It turned out that Bellamy had feelings for Waverly. Maybe, he had more intense feelings than anyone could imagine.
"He gave her flowers, huh?"
"Roses and multiflora roses?"
"Ha!"
Joseph called someone and said, "I want a palace built with roses and multiflora roses. I will leave the design and decorations up to you, but I want it by tomorrow night. That's all."
