Chapter 1119 You Want To Block Me?
"Block? Ha!" Bellamy was not angry. Instead, he was laughing.
Waverly knew that when he laughed like that, he most probably felt extremely unhappy.
His laughter was also filled with mockery, perhaps one directed at himself.
It was as if his laughter could pierce through one's eardrum and shock one's soul.
"Is it because I didn't let you become Peace Lady that you want to block me?" Bellamy said with bloodshot eyes, his laughter not stopping.
Waverly's heart ached badly.
At that time, she had married him not because of his status, but because she wanted to escape from her life at that time. She had also wanted to show off to Lenold, Qianna, Joseph and the others who had watched her make a fool out of herself and made her miserable.
When she had stayed with him, what she thought every day was that she should not drag him down. She never used her position for her own benefit.
In the past, she really had not cared about her status. What she cared about was the safety of the person she loved.
Since when had her heart started to twist?
The current her was small and insignificant, so insignificant that she could be trampled on by anyone. They could hurt her self-esteem, ruin her body and abuse her soul.
She wanted to become strong, so strong that she wouldn't be bullied, so strong that she could protect the people she wanted to protect. Once she became strong, she wouldn't need to put on an act anymore. She wouldn't need to live as though each day was her last. She wouldn't need to depend on others and she wouldn't have to struggle for freedom.
Peace Lady?
Ha!
If she hadn't harbored any hope previously, she wouldn't feel any disappointment.
If it was Joseph who had betrayed her, she would not feel anything, nor would she feel sad at all.
However, the one who hurt her turned out to be Bellamy!
She knew that her heart was extremely twisted at the moment, but she still couldn't control herself.
If he wanted to hate her, then she would let him hate her. It didn't matter anymore.
She no longer wanted to win his favor anymore, nor did she want to keep suppressing herself and forcing herself to become another person. The corners of her mouth curled up and she looked extremely cold.
"Yes, I have always been such a person who forgoes others for my own benefits. For the sake of your status, I had given up the man I once loved. What can't I do? It's not too late for you to recognize my personality now," Waverly said.
Bellamy looked at her silently.
Waverly allowed him to look at her. She did not avoid him and her face was expressionless.
The two of them remained silent for three minutes.
"If there is nothing else you want to say, I'm hanging up," Waverly said and directly hung up the phone.
She stared blankly at the air in front of her. After relaxing for three seconds, she looked at Joseph and said, "Are you satisfied with that conversation?"
"Are you?" Joseph asked in reply.
Waverly chuckled and said, "I am. I want to go to the washroom. I have a stomachache."
Without waiting for Joseph to speak, she went straight into the bathroom and locked the door.
Tears poured down her face like a floodgate had just opened.
However, once she cried, her thoughts became more extreme. The more she cried, the sadder she felt. The more she cried, the more wronged she felt. The more she cried, the more her heart ached as if something was bursting out.
From then on, she would be all alone. She would live alone and die alone, left to drown in her emotions. Her soul would wander endlessly in the world for years until it died. She would then only be left with a disgusting vessel to live on shamelessly.
There was a series of knocks at the door.
"Don't come in," Waverly said.
With a clatter, Joseph opened the door.
Waverly's eyes were red and her eyes were still shedding tears. She had no time to wipe them away.
She wanted to complain about everything and vent her anger.
Those emotions that replaced the previous sadness and bitterness she had felt.
Joseph leaned on the door frame and crossed his arms in front of his chest. He looked at her with drooping eyes and said, "Why are you crying? Is your urine coming out of your eyes?"
"Shut up," Waverly washed her face.
Joseph stood behind her, put his strong arms around her waist and pulled her into his arms.
He suppressed his anger and warned her, "I hope this is the last time that you'll shed tears for him."
Waverly looked at him and said, "These tears aren't for him."
"If they aren't for him, then who are they for?" Joseph did not believe her.
"For myself," Waverly said while looking at Joseph with clear eyes.
In fact, she also understood that Joseph held no feelings for her. He would not marry her. Even if he were to marry her, he would not have much love for her. At most, it was his possessiveness working its magic. Once he got bored, she might become like those birds trapped in a cage, the only thing awaiting them was death.
Joseph kissed her cheek.
Waverly stayed still.
Joseph was displeased and said in a cold voice, "You're as motionless as a corpse."
Waverly sighed in her heart. Although he had a bad temper, he was also quite generous. He had given her a gun worth billions of dollars and helped her to become Peace Lady, even helping her a lot in the negotiations.
However, a single sentence from her would easily anger him. If she didn't think that there were any problems in her words, he would become livid.
For example, at the moment, as soon as he had come in, he had said that her urine was coming out of her eyes. She hadn't rolled her eyes nor shoo him out, which she considered to already be rather polite.
However, when he had kissed her and she had stayed still, he had gotten angry.
He even went as far as to say that she was like a corpse. She detested him for that.
Her eyes were dull as she looked at him and coldly said, "Many thanks for your praise."
Joseph glanced at her, let go of her and went out of the bathroom.
He recalled that every time he left like this, she would never once go to coax him. As he left, he grew even more pissed off.
He sat on the sofa, put his feet on the table and played a few games to ease his bad mood.
Waverly came out of the bathroom and saw that Joseph was still there. She no longer wanted to drive him away as she was a little tired. As such, she laid on the bed and closed her eyes to rest.
From the moment she came out, Joseph had been eyeing her and waiting for her to say something to him.
In the end, half an hour later, not only did she say nothing, but she also fell asleep.
He was angry that she actually dared to fall asleep.
Livid, Joseph threw the mobile phone on the sofa, walked towards Waverly and placed his hands on both sides of her body.
She still failed to wake up. He kissed her, forcefully pried open her lips and teeth and entered her mouth. His actions were fierce and surging.
Waverly opened her eyes, but he didn't stop. He instantly stripped her clothes off.
Half an hour passed.
Joseph went to the bathroom to take a bath. Waverly's waist was sore and she didn't want to get up.
He was satiated. When he came out of the bathroom, the alluringness he exuded was both evil and enchanting as he said, "Can't you get up?"
She didn't want to talk to him. Hadn't he booked the eight o'clock flight? Why wasn't he leaving?
"Cat's got your tongue?" Joseph became more and more arrogant.
Waverly kept silent.
She felt an unspeakable feeling in her heart. He had taken advantage of her, but he was still pretending to be obedient, even provoking her. He was acting as if she couldn't get up because of him, when in reality, she just didn't want to move.
She felt dissatisfied with such an outcome.
"Can you run the bath for me?" Waverly asked.
Joseph raised his eyebrows.
Waverly thought he was going to scorn her a little, but he didn't. He went into the bathroom happily and helped her to prepare a hot bath.
