Chapter 887 What if I like him?

"Perhaps I should start treating you badly now. That way, you will feel happier when you meet someone that treats you better," Bellamy continued Waverly's words. He then poured a large portion of soup for himself and said, "Marie is getting better and better at cooking soup. I can eat several bowls of this by myself."
Waverly smiled and lowered her head.
Yes, if he had treated her badly, she would then be able to forget about him easier. But apart from not liking her back, he was very good to her.
Waverly made some grilled cheese. After eating, Bellamy arranged for a flight and they went to Southern Suburb.
When Bellamy arrived, he was greeted by Sandro, "Uncle Bellamy, what took you so long? I missed you."
Bellamy stroked Sandro's head lovingly, "Did you miss me playing games with you?"
"I woke up today and found a new way to play Snake Blockade. Soldier Assault, it's fun. Let's play together later," Sandro said happily.
"Okay," Bellamy answered with a smile.
Just then, Jasper stepped forward.
"Where's Mom?" Bellamy asked.
"She's in the kitchen. Lynette is helping her prepare dinner."
"Waverly and I will go check on her," Bellamy said as he took Waverly's hand.
Waverly's hand was cold and tensed. Although she was innocent, the video had been posted on the Internet, after all.
She minded what Jasper and the others thought of her.
Bellamy felt her hand was too cold and placed it into his pocket.
Waverly could feel the warmth of his pocket as if the winter sun was shining on her.
With her heart aching, she smiled faintly at Bellamy.
In fact, his attitude towards her determined the way his family would treat her.
He was protecting her, and she could feel it in her heart. She followed Bellamy to the kitchen.
Suzi looked at them and raised a loving smile, "There you are. Why don't you guys sit outside for a while? I'm busy here."
"Waverly got you a present from M Country. Why don't you take a look at it?" Bellamy said.
Suzi paused for a moment and looked at Waverly.
With that look, Waverly lowered her head. She clearly saw rejection, surprised, and astonishment in her eyes.
However, Suzi was brought up well. She quickly smiled and said, "Thank you."
"Mom, I hope you like it," Waverly handed the tourmaline to Suzi.
At that, Suzi looked to Bellamy as if asking for his opinion.
"Take it, it's from Waverly," Bellamy said.
Suzi accepted Waverly's gift, "Thank you. Why don't you guys wait outside? It's a mess here and I'm busy. Remember to eat a little more tonight. After all, our family only gets to gather once during New Years' Eve."
"Okay," Bellamy took Waverly's hand and went out.
Meanwhile, Sandro immediately came over and pestered Bellamy to play games with him.
Bellamy doted on Sandro in particular, like a father, never mincing his smile.
In a sense, Sandro preferred to play with Bellamy. His father, Jasper, was too strict and serious.
Waverly watched them having fun while she sat on the couch. Although Bellamy's family did not gossip about her, they didn't pay attention to her either. They went about their business.
"I'm going to go check on the baby," Waverly said softly.
"I'll go with you," Bellamy was about to get up.
"No, no, no," Sandro climbed on top of Bellamy and wrapped his arms around him.
Waverly smiled faintly, "Stay with Sandro. I'll go and have a look."
Bellamy nodded.
Waverly then made her way upstairs. As Stella was having her confinement in childbirth, she was lying in bed while Anthea took care of the little one.
When Stella saw Waverly, she sat up and said softly, "There you are. Sandro has been looking forward to your arrival for a long time."
"He likes to play games with Bellamy. Bellamy is extremely patient with children," Waverly said, looking down at the baby.
Although the baby was still little, her skin was fair and her eyes were big. She would surely be a beautiful young lady in the future. For some reason, Waverly felt that this child resembled the old her.
"What's the baby's name?" Waverly asked softly.
"Angela, Angela Milton. You can call her Angela," Stella replied.
"Angela, like an angel," Waverly said with a smile.
"Yes. It stands for a peaceful life, and that's what we want for her."
"What a good name," Waverly looked at Angela for a moment, wanting to say something but she eventually swallowed her words.
Neither of them said anything, and the atmosphere was somewhat awkward.
Waverly felt a little uneasy and she looked over at Stella, who was looking at her as well.
As she met Waverly's gaze, she smiled faintly.
"There's something I want to consult you about," Waverly blurted out.
"Well, go ahead."
"I have a friend who likes a guy a lot, but he likes another woman. What do you think she should do?" Waverly said softly.
"The situation should be analyzed. What you said is too general for me to give an answer to. After all, only you know how you feel. There are even environmental influences that could lead to different results," Stella rationalized.
Although she knew that Bellamy liked Stella, and that Stella was considered her love rival, she simply could not hate Stella.
After all, as a lady herself, she enjoyed listening to Stella's soft voice and spending time with Stella, let alone men.
Waverly stopped talking. She was afraid Stella would discover the heroine of the story to be her if she was too specific. It would be embarrassing for Waverly to admit in front of her love rival that her husband loved her.
Stella looked at her thoughtfully, "You could ask her to call me. You have my cell phone number, right? I provide free consultation and courteous service."
Waverly raised a smile, "Alright. Why don't you take some rest? You need proper confinement in childbirth to be in good health later."
"Yeah, okay," Stella softly answered.
She looked at Waverly's back as she left. In fact, she liked Waverly quite a lot.
All the women in the Mccarthy family had messy, even odd, personal lives. Waverly, on the other hand, was like a clear stream, strong and beautiful, gentle and understanding. She had been with Bellamy since she was twenty-one. For five years, she had not made a single mistake, except for this one, where she was framed.
She was so young to be able to take charge of her own. Waverly was so much better than her.
Stella only met Jasper when she was Waverly's age, not long after she was a doctor.
Stella had always thought that Waverly and Bellamy would make a great couple, but to her surprise... politics was ever so unforgiving. Just one bad rumor and her whole life were potentially ruined. Not to mention, she was depicted in such a bad way.
Bellamy was still playing games with Sandro when Waverly came downstairs. The two of them were completely focused on the game.
She didn't want to disturb them and went out for some air.
Stella's house had a lot of dogs and it was like an army. Waverly sat on the swing set.
Probably because she didn't come here much, puppies were barking at her.
However, after a big dog barked a few times, the puppies stopped barking and ran away with it.
Waverly giggled. Stella's dogs were smart. They knew how to behave.
Just as she was enjoying her time on the swing, her cell phone rang. Her eyes darkened when she saw the caller ID...
