Chapter 1059 Alarm
Joseph looked at her helplessly as he said, "You're overreacting."
Waverly looked at him in shock, and her temples were throbbing. She looked at the surrounding environment. It was her room in President's Mansion, but how could he be here?
Was she dreaming?
She pinched her face in front of him.
It was painful.
She looked at him with her large eyes and asked in disbelief, "Why are you here? This is President's Mansion. How did you get in?"
A smirk rose from the corners of Joseph's mouth. His dark eyes locked with hers and he replied, "Of course it's Bellamy who let me in. How could I get into your room otherwise?"
Waverly did not believe him. She turned around. Before she opened the door, he held her in his arms and said, "I'm just kidding. Of course, I knocked on the door and came in."
She glared at him as she said, "We're at President's Mansion. Are you crazy?"
"You are in my hands, I will be able to escape unscathed. Moreover, I am currently on vacation, I can go wherever I want. There's no one who can stop me," he said arrogantly.
Waverly felt like she was on the verge of losing her temper. She said, "How did you get in here? The security here is very strict."
His eyes were cold as he looked down at her. He said coldly, "Are you worried about me, or are you worried about Bellamy?"
"No matter who I am worried about, you should leave quickly. You can't be here," she said seriously.
Joseph's eyes narrowed as he said in reply, "Why can't I be here? Is there any place that I can't go? As long as I want to, this place will soon change its owner. I can come and go as I want, and no one can stop me."
Waverly was reluctant to talk to him. She took a deep breath and said, "Let me go first. It's cold."
He saw that she was only wearing a nightdress. He let go of her and said, "You're the one who got out of the bed. Don't blame me if you catch a cold."
She picked up the down jacket on the shelf and put it on. She sat on the sofa and looked at him.
He sat across from her, allowing her to look at him.
"When are you going to leave?" She asked.
"Not yet. I'd like to see Bellamy's reaction when he sees me in your room tomorrow." The corner of his mouth was lifted, and he crossed his right leg on his left knee in a relaxed way.
She was speechless.
She was sure that he was still in M Country before she turned off her phone.
Before she woke up, he was already lying next to her in bed at the heavily guarded President's Mansion.
Joseph was even more terrifying than demons and monsters.
As long as he wasn't happy, he could make others even more unhappy. Moreover, he could do anything.
He got up and approached him step by step. She put her hands on the armrests on both sides of his seat.
He kept his eyes locked with hers. He raised the corners of his mouth, but there was no trace of a smile in his eyes.
He was like a king who was in charge of the country and knew everything about you like the back of his hand. He would watch as you challenge his patience.
Waverly sneered.
Joseph stopped smiling and looked at her coldly as he said, "What are you laughing at?"
"Joseph, aren't you a grown up? As a general of M Country and the proud descendant of the Mccarthy family, you took a few hours flight to your opponent's country and barged into someone else's room. You are childish," she chided.
He slipped an arm around her waist.
With such great strength, she was forced to lie on him and couldn't move away from his embrace.
"Everything is under my control. What's there to be afraid of? Life is short, of course I have to do things that will make me happy. I am really curious about Bellamy's expression now," he said as he kissed Waverly on the lips.
She shifted her head backwards and looked up into his eyes as she said, "Think about it, your fiancee is Yasmine. If Madam Lenny knows that you betrayed her daughter, you will never get her support, and you will never be able to be the king of M Country."
"Are you sure that Bellamy will put you in a difficult situation to overthrow me?" Joseph asked in reply.
Waverly paused and stared into his eyes. She didn't know what Joseph was here for, but she really didn't want Bellamy to see him.
"What should I do to make you leave?" Waverly asked.
"Kiss me," he said.
Waverly gritted her teeth and kissed him on the lips.
Joseph did not move. He stared at her, and did not seem to have any intention of letting her go.
She frowned while saying, "Why are you still here?"
"I will leave. I don't like this place. However, I didn't say that I would leave immediately," he replied.
She was so angry that she slapped on his shoulder.
"Is there anyone else in the world who is better at cheating than him?" She thought.
His mood improved. He took her hand and said, "Give me another kiss and I'll leave now."
She took a sharp breath and gave him a peck on the lips.
He got up and looked at her, crossing his arms.
"Didn't you say you're leaving now?" She urged.
"I'm leaving. I already walked a few steps from the sofa, didn't you see that? Well, I'll walk a few steps more," he said and walked to the door.
She was so angry that her eyes turned red.
She didn't want to talk to Joseph anymore. She plopped down on the bed, sulking.
He raised his eyebrows and walked towards her.
She turned around and did not face him.
He laid on her bed and patted the seat next to him, "I came here straight away once I got off the plane. After going through a secret fight, I'm tired. Accompany me to sleep for a while. I promise I won't let Bellamy discover me when I leave."
She looked at him and asked, "Do you keep your promise?"
"Better than someone else." Joseph said with certainty, lifting the corner of his mouth.
Waverly had no other way. She lay beside him and said, "Marie gets up early. You'd better leave before five o'clock."
"If I rest now, I might be able to wake up at five o'clock. If I don't rest now, I shouldn't be able to wake up at five o'clock," he replied.
This person really knew how to infuriate one.
She turned off the light, turned her back on him, and said nothing.
He turned over, held her in his arms and said, "I thought you would be very sad. It seems that you're fine."
She did not speak.
He ran his hand over her waist.
She pressed her lips tightly together and still did not speak.
"It turns out that when you were living in President's Mansion, you slept in different rooms and floors with Bellamy. Interesting," he said with a smile. No one knew what he was thinking about, but he was in a good mood.
She was not sure.
She was afraid that Joseph would oversleep, so she took her phone and turned it on.
She set an alarm!
He stuck his head out to take a look at the alarm. His face was a bit strange. Luckily, it was concealed in the darkness...
