Chapter 1064 What Had They Become?
"This is for you, Sandro." Waverly gave the gaming console to Sandro.
"Wow, that's awesome! I've always wanted this gaming console. Thank you, Auntie Waverly." Sandro bowed happily in gratitude after receiving the gift.
Waverly caressed his head dotingly and said, "It was your Uncle Bellamy who bought it for you. The person you should thank is him."
"Uncle Bellamy, take me with you. I want to follow you everywhere you go. I promise I'll treat you well when I grow up." Sandro hugged Bellamy's thigh, refusing to let go of him.
Jasper glared at Sandro as he warned, "I'll count to three, go back to your room. One, two..."
Before he could say three, Sandro hurriedly let go of Bellamy and pouted. Then, he dropped his head low and obediently went back to his room.
Bellamy smiled at Jasper, saying, "You're too strict with Sandro. He's your son. Don't treat him like those soldiers that you'd trained."
"A soldier is also someone else's son. I don't want to spoil him. He's getting unruly nowadays," Jasper replied.
Bellamy sighed. After all, Sandro was not his son. He could only say, "Only Stella can get you under control."
"Bellamy, even I am unable to control him," Stella chimed in with a smile.
Jasper looked at Stella, and the look in his eyes was much softer as he asked, "Do I need to be controlled?"
Stella returned a smile, one that radiated pure happiness.
"Alright, it's time to eat," Suzi said.
Meanwhile, Anthea helped serve the dishes.
Stella said to Anthea, "Please tell Elvis that it's time to eat."
"Okay." Anthea put down the plates and went out to look for Elvis.
After a while, Lynette and Sinclair also returned. They had brought their children along and all of them sat at a round table to eat.
"Waverly, have some of this. You have lost a lot of weight. I'm worried for your health," Suzi said and gave Waverly a piece of pork chop.
"Thank you, Auntie," Waverly said politely.
"You don't need to thank me. We are a family. Why don't you stay here for the day and visit Snowie Town in the afternoon? The scenery there is picturesque," Suzi recommended.
"We will head there in the afternoon, but there will be a banquet at night. Waverly is here to represent M Country," Bellamy explained.
"Represent M Country, huh..." Hearing this, Suzi was a little disappointed.
She didn't understand national affairs and couldn't be bothered to care about these things. It was too troublesome. It didn't conform to the simple life she wanted.
She thought that Waverly was here to visit them.
Visit meant that there was a possibility of Waverly being in a relationship with Bellamy.
"Why don't you just stay here, Waverly? Jasper could give you a new identity and you can stay in the military region. No one will know about it and Bellamy can meet you there when he's free. Then, you guys can remarry in secret," Suzi tried to persuade her.
"Mom." Bellamy looked at Suzi while holding onto Waverly's hand.
Waverly shivered, and her posture turned stiff.
"We'll all do our part," Bellamy promised.
"Mom, Bellamy knows what to do. He's level headed enough for sure," Stella spoke up to comfort Suzi.
"Okay. Eat up, Waverly." Suzi then gave another piece of salmon to Waverly.
Waverly sincerely liked Suzi and the atmosphere of family which Bellamy had created for her.
Thinking of this, she didn't have anything to complain about. Thanks to Bellamy, she got to live with a family for five years. Now, she was going back to her original path.
"Thank you, Auntie." Waverly lowered her head and ate all that food Suzi had given her.
In the afternoon, Waverly and Bellamy went to Snowie Town with a few bodyguards.
Snowie Town was a perfectly safe area composed of flowers and the sea. Some villa residents were lying on the beach and sunbathing. Not far away, construction workers were doing their work.
"What are they doing?" Waverly asked.
"They're building a villa on the sea. You can fish from your room without heading out," Bellamy explained.
"It's lovely here. Trouble seems to fade away when we're looking out at the sea." Waverly smiled as gazed into the distance.
The waves shimmered under the sunlight, and the scenery was extremely beautiful. She would instantly be in a good mood if she only sat here and looked at the sea.
"Come with me." Bellamy held Waverly's hand and led her away.
They went through the fence and arrived at another separate villa.
In front of the villa was a cooling shed, and underneath it were several wooden beach chairs. There were also round tables in front of the chairs with coconuts on them.
The sea breeze blew, and it was warm and pleasant.
"You didn't sleep well last night. You can have a good rest here. Don't worry about the time. I'll be here. I'll wake you up when I leave," Bellamy said softly.
Waverly was touched.
She hadn't relaxed in a long time.
"Then, I'll lay down for a while," Waverly said.
Bellamy smiled while saying, "Okay."
She lay down on the wooden chair and Bellamy covered her with a blanket.
It was spring, and they were surrounded by the fragrance of flowers and trees. It wasn't long before she fell asleep.
This time, she had a dream.
In her dream, she was in a lavender garden. She ran among the lavender flower fields. She didn't know why, but she was euphoric.
Then, a loud boom startled her.
Waverly immediately opened her eyes and sat up. She saw that dark clouds had gathered in the sky.
Bellamy was still asleep on a wooden chair beside her.
"He didn't sleep well last night, did he?" she wondered.
"Bellamy, Bellamy..." Waverly called softly.
Bellamy woke up and smiled slightly at her. He looked at his watch and said, "It's only past three o'clock. It's still early. I'd set an alarm. What's wrong?"
"It's going to rain," Waverly pointed out.
Bellamy then sat up. "You haven't seen the sea while it's raining, right? It's fine, someone will send an umbrella over."
Waverly handed the blanket to Bellamy and said, "Take it. It's cold without the sun. You still haven't fully recovered."
"I will order someone to get another blanket for me if I'm cold. If you don't like it here, we can leave and see if those flowers have been planted," Bellamy suggested.
"Let's stay here for a while." She enjoyed the moment very much. She then added, "Let's stay until four o'clock."
Waverly turned to look at the sea. Soon, it started raining and raindrops fell onto the shed above them.
"We don't need to water those flowers we planted anymore," Bellamy said jokingly.
"That's right."
"Do you want some coconuts?"
"Yes, please."
Bellamy cracked open a coconut and handed it to her.
Waverly took a sip and found that it was fragrant and slightly sweet.
Both of them did not speak and quietly enjoyed themselves until four o'clock.
"There's something I have to tell you... " Bellamy was hesitant.
Waverly waited for him to speak.
She didn't have to ask if he wanted to say something.
Because she knew that he wouldn't say it even if she prompted him.
