Chapter 949 Bellamy's About To Be Upset

Waverly's heart was beating fast as she looked at Joseph cautiously.
She realized that what she had done had led her into his trap.
She had a strong, bad feeling about this.
"Are you trying to threaten me now?" She asked defensively.
"Do I have to? Are you not afraid of me?" He spoke lightly as if he could figure her out.
She was indeed afraid of him, and her fear was surging from within her heart.
He had a sinister aura about him that could penetrate another's heart and made someone's blood run cold.
However, she couldn't show that she was terrified of him.
"You think too highly of yourself. If I was afraid of you, I wouldn't choose to be back here." She fixed her gaze on him.
Joseph raised his eyebrows and applauded, "That's why I admire you for your courage."
A waiter came serving their dishes, while looking anxious.
Joseph started putting some raw meat onto the grill.
Waverly still felt uneasy. What happened to Qianna after she went to find him?
Everything had gone according to his plan, so what was awaiting her?
The raw meat was cooking on the grill, and shortly after, they were already cooked and ready to eat.
He picked up the meat and put them on her plate as he questioned, "Do you need any sauce to go with? I'll ask my men to help you with that."
She frowned and looked at him.
How was she supposed to enjoy her meal with so many pairs of eyes staring at her? She answered, "Let them eat elsewhere, and I'll pay for them."
He cast a glance at his subordinates and commanded, "Have a meal somewhere else."
"Yes," his subordinates walked out from the booth.
She was worried about Hayley, so she stood up and informed him, "I'll head outside for some sauce."
Joseph handed his sauce dish to her and requested, "Give me whatever you chose to have."
Waverly stared at his dish and didn't take it over.
He smirked, "Didn't you always want to kill me and get this over with? I'm giving you a chance here."
She took the sauce dish from him but she didn't drug it. Firstly, she had no drugs with her at that moment. Second, even if she had the drugs with her, she was worried that Joseph wouldn't take it that easily, and he might even hand it over to Hayley.
She headed out and saw his subordinates sitting on the side, and Hayley was with them.
Hayley spotted her and she ran over to ask, "Madam, are you okay?"
"I'm fine. Don't worry. Just enjoy your meal," she instructed.
Hayley nodded while still looking worried.
Waverly went back with the sauces in hand and noticed that Joseph was on the phone.
"Well, if you're not tired, I'll pick you up at night then. I prepared a surprise for you, and you will love it," he expressed with joy.
Judging from his tone, it was visible that he was talking to some girls over the phone. With him being this public with his affection, it was safe to assume that Madam Lenny's daughter was on the other end of the phone.
A hint of cunning, rage, and provocation flashed in Waverly's eyes.
She put the sauce dish in front of him and deliberately said, "Honey, I got you what you want."
Joseph glared at her, with thoughts in mind.
She saw that he was neither anxious nor flustered, and he didn't even hang up the phone call. Hence she smirked, and with a cold gaze, she added, "Are you spending the night at my place?"
He smiled and responded, "Sure, but I'll be late, just make sure you turn on the air conditioner and warm the bed for me."
Waverly's smile froze. What was he planning to do?
After saying this, he turned to the phone, "I'll hang up first as my meal is served."
Waverly's face fell. She intended to make Madam Lenny's daughter aware that Joseph was cheating on her, but the way he acted was as if she wouldn't even mind that.
After the phone call, he was in a good mood as he commented, "This is the first time that you're taking the initiative to be nice to me. That's great."
She suddenly realized something and argued, "Besides Madam Lenny's daughter and me, you still have other women, don't you?"
He smiled and did not answer her directly. Instead, he replied, "You should be glad to hear this, aren't you? You're the one who doesn't like me touching you."
Waverly had long known that Joseph was unreadable. He would never answer her questions directly.
If he had other women, would she be able to deal with him through those women?
"I heard you saying that you've prepared a surprise for her," she asked tentatively as she ate the meat he cooked for her earlier.
"Well, I can bring you along too if you want," he teased meaningfully.
She looked at him in confusion, "Aren't you afraid to let her know about us?"
"What are we actually? Cousins? Lovers? Enemies? Or just partners in bed?" He retorted.
She didn't want to answer his question. She put some mushrooms on the grill and continued, "Looks like I'm worrying too much when you aren't even afraid to let her know."
"That's why I'm still hesitating if I should bring you along. You're like a cunning fox. You don't bother risking your life to make a fuss in mine," he remarked thoughtfully.
She sneered, "Are you afraid of me now?"
A light flashed across his eyes as he spoke, "Alright then, I'll bring you along since you dared me. I'll pick you up from the Mccarthy family home by 6 p.m."
"I'm going to the car dealer this evening. Just tell me the address, and I'll meet you there," she rejected him.
With him appearing that often at the Mccarthy family for her, it was a matter of time before everyone else found out about their relationship. She would be targeted heavily even before Madam Lenny found out about them.
"I'll let my men follow you to the car dealer then since you'll be paying with my money anyway. You're my woman now, and it'd be inappropriate if you're still using money from Bellamy," he uttered.
She didn't want to use his money at all. She defended, "What Bellamy gave me is mine, and I feel more at ease using my own money."
"Are you refusing? Then you don't have to go tonight," he smirked as if he could read her mind.
Waverly wanted to go. She had to see the other woman if she wanted to win in this. She then changed her mind and gave in, "Alright then, I'll buy an expensive one."
"You deserve it, no matter how expensive it is," he said meaningfully with sparkles in his eyes.
If it was not because of the hostile relationship between them, Waverly would admit that Joseph was a good-looking guy. He was clearly the type of guy whom girls would go crazy after. He had a mixed aura where he seemed like a decent guy with a wild side to him. Most importantly, he always appeared to have things under control.
She was afraid that he could read her easily inside out. If it was like that, she would be left with no room to win. She stopped talking and started to take in her meal.
He picked up another piece of meat for her and ordered, "Eat more. You have to look healthy so that Bellamy will stop worrying over you. Otherwise, with how frequent your video chat sessions are, he would think that I've been torturing you."
Waverly looked at him in shock and asked, "Are you spying me by setting up cameras in my room?"
Joseph's gaze turned cold as he mocked, "Do I have to stoop that low? Anyway, Waverly, you should know that you and Bellamy are done. Even if he was the only guy left in the world, you two still won't work."
