Chapter 1083 You Want To Do It?
Waverly was helpless. Based on the Mccarthy family's complicated background, even if she had five fearless guards with her, they wouldn't be of much help. During crucial moments, one or two would be enough to protect her. Moreover, if she hired fewer of them, the number of deaths could be reduced.
She went back to her room, turned off her cell phone and packed up her luggage. Then, she put on a black trench coat, a hat, a pair of glasses, and a mask, and went straight to the airport.
After Waverly left, Joseph also felt bored. He ate a little and asked Yasmine, "When are you leaving?"
"The president of A Country said that I can leave tomorrow. I plan to stay for another day and go back the day after tomorrow. You rarely come here, so let's hang out and have some fun. I heard that Snowie Town is a pretty decent place to see. They have some villas there where some wealthy and respectable people live. Will you be interested in buying a new villa there?" Yasmine incited.
"Could you live with peace in mind in the enemy's territory? You'll die an unknown death," Joseph said.
"My mom said that Stella is quite smart since she could set up such a special administrative division. The Milton family is originally a rich family, and they have plenty of money. Now, the economic lifeline of A Country is in the hands of the Milton family, and Jasper is Bellamy's buddy, which means he is Bellamy's right-hand man. It will not be that easy to drag Bellamy down," Yasmine changed the topic.
"Sean is also a member of the President's family. His relationship in A Country is even more complicated. However, he was also dragged down in the end. I'm afraid that he won't ever be able to rise back up," Joseph looked at his mobile phone in low spirits and scratched his forehead in boredom.
"That Eli really is troublesome. If it weren't for Eli, Sean's position would have been incredibly secure. After all, among the three giants, only Jasper was left. I didn't expect that Bellamy would appear out of the blue."
"There are still many things that you can't imagine. If events in life could be predicted in advance, it would be less fun. Well, let's call it a day. I am a little tired, so I will go and take a rest first," Joseph stood up.
"Joseph," Yasmine followed him out. She held onto Joseph's arm delicately, and hinted, "Mother has agreed to our relationship. We will be together anyways. Should we go to your room or my room tonight?"
Joseph frowned slightly and looked at Yasmine with droopy eyes, "You want to do it?"
"No, I don't," Yasmine denied it. "It's just that I want you to stay with me."
Joseph lifted her chin and smiled, "Yasmine, I have something to do. I don't like women pestering me too much, and that applies even after our marriage, so could you get used to not doing so by then? Or would you feel wronged and be unable to get used to life like that? If you don't think that's the life that you want, I'll respect your preference."
Yasmine's expression was a little strange as she smiled, "How could that be? I know that you are a person who does great things. I will help you and will not drag you down."
"Good girl. Go back and have a good rest. Tomorrow, I'll take you to Snowie Town. I happen to have a friend to meet," Joseph said.
"Okay, then I'll get together with a few friends," Yasmine said.
"You can have your own circle of friends. That's a good thing," Joseph let go of her hand, turned around, and walked towards the elevator.
Yasmine's face darkened as she stared at Joseph's back.
Both of them were adults, so she did not believe that Joseph hadn't gotten her hint. Going to the same room with him meant that she wanted to do it, but due to the fact that she was a lady, she had to say some insincere words.
She had already moved into Joseph's place, but he had never kissed her, much less touched her. It damaged her pride and annoyed her. She turned around and went back to the room.
"Yasmine, could you give me Waverly's contact information?" Raven asked.
Yasmine's look darkened even more, and she said in a strange voice, "What do you want her contact information for? During her marriage with Mr. Chuck, she cheated on him by seducing her own uncle. You still want that kind of woman?"
Raven's expression was a little embarrassed as he insisted, "I just think she's quite attractive. I just want to talk to her. I can't say for sure what will happen in the future."
"Is she more charming or I am more charming?" Yasmine asked angrily.
Seeing Yasmine growing angry, Raven stayed quiet and looked at Lyons next to him.
Lyons said with a smile, "Of course Miss Filthy is more charming. Raven has never seen many women, so he's ignorant. Don't worry about him."
Yasmine took the wine glass and drank, "If you're my friend then don't mention her in front of me. I feel sick whenever I hear her name."
"What's wrong? Has she offended you?" Lyons curiously asked.
"It's just that I don't like coquettish women like her. She's not too good-looking, but she's very skilled in seducing men," Yasmine said disdainfully.
"Yasmine, do you have bad eyesight? She's gorgeous, even stunning. You hate her so much because you're jealous of her, aren't you?" Raven asked.
"Me, jealous of her? Why should I be jealous of her? My mother is Madam Lenny. Except for the Queen, she is the most respectable woman in M Country. I am also the Deputy Secretary of External Affairs. She is just an assistant. Why should I be jealous of her?" Yasmine's eyes turned sharp. She poured the wine in the wine glass directly onto Raven and said angrily, "You are the one with bad eyes!"
Raven stood up angrily, "You are simply being unreasonable. Not only are you incapable, but you also have a bad temper. You are the Deputy Secretary only because of Madam Lenny's influence. If you didn't have a mother with such a high status, you would be nothing. You should ask others who is more good-looking between you and her. You are the one who's uglier here."
After finishing his words, Raven walked out of the room.
"D*mn that Raven, stupid Raven. I want to end our friendship!" Yasmine said as she kicked his chair.
"Don't take his words to heart. He said all that because he is attracted to Waverly," Lyons advised.
"Tell me, between me and Waverly, who's more good-looking?" Yasmine asked Lyons.
"Of course it's you. My Miss Filthy, who could compare with you? Whether in temperament or appearance, even Rebecca cannot be compared to you," Lyons praised.
Yasmine felt that he was lying, "Rebecca is the most beautiful woman in M Country. If you are telling the truth, I don't blame you. If you're lying to me, I will also end our friendship."
"Everyone has different tastes and aesthetic standards," Lyons said ambiguously.
"Don't talk about others. I'm talking about you," Yasmine pointed at him like a spoiled child.
"In my eyes, of course you are the most beautiful," Lyons fawningly said.
"You are a real friend," Yasmine handed the bottle of red wine to Lyons. She said, "Fill this up for me."
"Yes, Miss Filthy," Lyons stood up and poured red wine for Yasmine diligently. His gaze fell on her chest, and a flirtatious light flashed in his eyes, which was caught by Joshua.
Joseph went toward Waverly's room, instantly opened the door and went in.
