Chapter 1047 Cutest When You Lie
"Joseph, you are not a person who can easily trust others," Waverly said. Her head felt heavy, so her words came out weak.
He turned her to face him and looked into her sleepy eyes, "It's impossible for you to avoid me. As if I believe that it's because you care about me."
The corners of her mouth perked up, "Yadriel and Joshua say that you love me. Do you love me?"
"I only love loyal women," Joseph replied with certainty.
She recalled that she had asked this question previously and he seemed to have the same answer.
She thought that she must be too sleepy, so she was confused. How could she ask him such a ridiculous and funny question again?
How could he love her?
She closed her eyes.
Joseph was waiting for her to say something. Seeing that she fell asleep, he shook her.
Waverly was awakened again. She complained, "Are you going to let me sleep?"
He heard her tone of disdain. She was the only one who would talk to him like this.
Only she would make him feel like he was real.
He was sulky. He turned around and turned his back to her.
After some time, she woke up.
Joseph was still lying in bed. He seemed to be asleep. His hand was placed under her neck while her hand was on his waist.
Her heart skipped a beat. She immediately retracted her hands and turned around in panic.
Was what he said the night before true?
She had taken the initiative to hold him. Has she gone mad?
He was woken up by her action. He did not open his eyes, but his breathing became heavier. He hugged her again and continued to sleep.
She could feel his breath against her face. She was breathing in his scent.
She was nearly out of breath. Thus, she simply sat up.
He opened his eyes and looked at her. He frowned in displeasure and asked, "What's wrong?"
"Don't you need to go to work today?" She refuted.
"I am injured. I don't have to go to work." Joseph turned over again, his back facing her.
Waverly picked up the phone next to the pillow. It was already nine o'clock. No wonder she felt hungry.
She got up, took her clothes and went to the bathroom. After that, she changed her clothes and got out of the bathroom.
She saw that he was still asleep. She opened the door.
Two guards who were standing at the door stopped her.
"Sir has ordered that you are not allowed to go out," the guard said with an expressionless face.
She turned back and looked at Joseph, "It's nine o'clock now. I'm hungry."
He slowly opened his eyes. He looked away from her face and looked at the guard. He ordered, "Take her to have breakfast."
"Yes, sir," the guard responded.
When Waverly passed by the next room, she remembered that the maid had said that Hayley was in the next room. She asked the guard, "Is Hayley out?"
"She had breakfast. Now, she is back in her room," the guard replied.
She nodded, but she was still a little worried. She pushed open the door to Hayley's room and heard her laughing.
She was speechless.
Hayley saw her and said with a smile, "Madam, this movie is so funny. This man pretended to live in this house. He led a person to the toilet and it was the bedroom. He said that the bed was a toilet. I'm wheezing."
Waverly sighed in her heart. Hayley was so carefree. She could be happy in any situation.
"Enjoy the movie. I'm going to have breakfast." Waverly closed the door again.
She was taken to the dining room and sat at the table. She took out her mobile phone to browse the news. The news of the Mccarthy family and the Harington family was still buzzing on the Internet.
Joseph was calm. She wondered what was going on with Bellamy.
If Joseph insisted on not letting her go, she couldn't leave.
When breakfast came, Waverly took a bite of the bread. She caught the smell of Joseph and looked to the left.
He came over, pulled a chair out and sat down opposite her.
She lowered her head and continued to eat her bread. She noticed that he was looking at her and said, "Why are you staring at me?"
"How much did your hair grow?" He asked.
"Why do you ask?" She took another bite of bread and avoided his gaze.
She had noticed when she was in the bathroom. Her hair had grown an inch, which looked strange.
He did not answer her question. He changed the subject and asked, "It's a nice day today. I'll take you out. Where do you want to go?"
She stopped eating and she was thinking fast.
She wanted to find a place that was not suspicious and could make it possible for her to escape, "A park. Now is the season for blossoms. However, will it be appropriate for us to show up in a public place together?"
"Haha." He smiled and looked at her with a piercing gaze, "There's no need to worry. There won't be anyone else in my park. You can do whatever you want."
Her face darkened, "Is it fun to tease me?"
"Of course. Why would I tease you if there's no fun in it?" He replied firmly. He held her hand and took a mouthful of the bread in her hand.
She frowned and put the bread on the plate, "You have bread too. Why are you eating mine?"
The corners of his mouth curled up, but his eyes were cold. He said, "What is yours is mine. Also, you should try to conceal your thoughts. Your eyes are screaming 'escape' right now."
Her plan was revealed and she felt guilty. However, when she thought about it, Joseph usually guessed her intentions. Then, he would confirm his judgment by her reaction.
She couldn't show it. She looked straight at him. She raised the corners of her mouth and said, "Escape? Aren't my eyes on you now?"
He paused and looked at her as if he wanted to see her soul through her eyes. After three seconds, he said in a deep voice, "You're still the cutest when you lie."
Waverly stared at him, "So don't ask me whether I care about you from now on. You won't believe me after all."
She took a new piece of bread and took a bite.
His gaze fell on the bread on her plate, "I've bitten it. Is that why you don't want to eat it anymore?"
"I forgot about it after placing it on the plate," she replied.
He took the bread from her hand and said, "I'll eat this. You eat the one on the plate."
She lowered her head and ate it. After that, she glanced at him.
He had eaten two pieces of bread and had milk. He seemed to be in a good mood.
She was thinking about what to do to persuade him to let her go to A Country.
"It's not impossible for you to go to A Country to negotiate," he suddenly said.
Waverly's hope was ignited, "Are you serious?"
He looked at the gleaming light in her eyes. He said gloomily, "When have I lied to you?"
She did not answer.
He had never lied to her. However, he often teased her!
"What should I do for you to let me go to A Country?" She asked.
