Chapter 1106 Can We Still Go Back To The Way We Used To Be?

While driving, Joseph was sleeping in the car. As such, Waverly was incredibly relaxed.
Whenever Joseph fell asleep, things were peaceful.
Waverly did not talk to Boris, for she was afraid of waking Joseph up.
As time went by, the car kept bumping and shaking. After looking at her cell phone for a while, she felt dizzy. She closed her eyes to rest and gradually fell asleep.
"Waverly, I like you. I've liked you for a long time. Come back to me, okay?"
"Can we still go back to the way we used to be?" She was worried that if Bellamy knew about her relationship with Joseph, his love for her would turn into disgust.
She was still waiting for Bellamy to speak, but her nose was simply too itchy, so she was suddenly awakened. She opened her eyes.
The car had stopped.
Boris was no longer in the car.
She and Joseph were the only two people in the car.
She was leaning in Joseph's embrace.
He was poking the tip of her nose, but the expression in his eyes was not joyful. On the contrary, there was bloodlust hidden in it. He raised the corners of his mouth and asked with a fake smile, "Did you just dream of Bellamy?"
Waverly was surprised. Was Joseph a psychic?
He even knew who the people in her dreams were.
"What do you mean by that?" Waverly did not answer his question, instead retaliating with one of her own.
"Ha," Joseph sneered, pushing the door open. He got out of the car and went straight into the villa.
Waverly got out of the car in confusion. Boris was outside. His expression was strange when he said to Waverly, "You fell asleep. You were repeating the same sentence in your dreams."
Waverly was shocked and asked, "What did I say?"
"Bellamy, can we still go back to the way we used to be?" Boris said.
Waverly lowered her eyes and a black silhouette fell under her long eyelashes.
She had kept asking Bellamy that question in her dreams, but she had never gotten an answer.
"Got it," Waverly walked forward, but she was stopped outside the door by the guards.
As she expected, Joseph would do anything when he was venting his anger on her.
She was also too lazy to go in, so she turned around.
Joseph leaned against the door frame and watched her leave. He asked coldly, "Don't you want to come in?"
Waverly said with her back to him, "Is there any use in asking whether I want to go in or not?"
The corner of Joseph's mouth curled up and a light flashed through his eyes, "Kneel on the ground and I'll let you in."
Waverly looked sideways and squinted at him, "Then, I choose not to go in. I'll wait for you outside."
The look in Joseph's eyes gradually became colder, "You don't want to come in, but I insist that you do so."
He turned around and said, "Take her and her subordinate in as well."
A group of people rushed out of the house and surrounded her and Boris.
Boris stepped forward and shielded Waverly behind him.
"It's nothing. Joseph likes acting. He'll be bored after he is done playing," Waverly said softly.
Boris took a look at Waverly, "I can see that he likes you."
Waverly looked at Boris in surprise and said in a low voice, "Don't be fooled by him. That man is unfathomable. Only he knows his true thoughts. His feelings towards me aren't what you imagine them to be."
Boris did not make any other comments.
They were brought in.
The interior of the villa was more magnificent than she had ever imagined. The materials used for decoration were hand-picked and they didn't seem like ordinary marble. There was a platform above the hall. On the platform, there was a furniture set that was made of calacatta marble. It looked noble and luxurious, yet modest, strongly accentuating the owner's position in society.
Joseph was sitting on the calacatta bench with a seductive girl in his arms.
The girl sized up Waverly.
Waverly felt that she somehow looked familiar, as if she had seen her before. However, she couldn't remember exactly where she had seen the girl before.
"Boris Lameer, a first-class master and weapon expert. Those people you trained, I want to test their level." Joseph said with the corner of his mouth upward.
Waverly failed to comprehend his words. His men quickly moved some weapons and made a ten-meter fence surrounding the hall.
"Boris, how about you give my subordinates some advice?" After Joseph finished talking to Boris, he lifted the chin of the girl next to him and said softly, "First, you should send the weakest one. Let them learn from their senior."
"Okay," the girl clapped her hands.
A thin youngster came in from the side door.
The curtain on the second floor was opened.
Waverly saw that it was crowded with people in the same black shirts. There were men and women, young and old. At first glance, it was a big crowd.
Boris was brought into the fence and Waverly became nervous.
Could it be that all the people upstairs were all going to fight with Boris?
"Please guide me well," the young man was polite as he spoke and bowed.
Waverly was worried.
On the other side, someone brought over a big drum and an hourglass.
With the sound of the drums, the hourglass was turned around.
The young man threw a punch. His speed was as fast as lightning and he instantly aimed for Boris' chin.
Waverly clenched her fists.
When she was in A Country, Bellamy had taught her martial arts. There were two spots on one's body that could be fatal if enough force was applied.
One place was the temple and the other was the chin.
Due to the fact that the cerebellum was behind the chin, once one exerted enough strength and threw the punch fast enough, it would cause a cerebellar concussion which would make their opponent faint or go into shock.
Obviously, these subordinates of Joseph had all been trained in special ways.
Fortunately, Boris dodged his attack.
Boris' speed was also incredibly fast. After all, he had decades of combat experience. Seizing the opportunity, he grabbed the youngster and suppressed him on the ground.
No matter how hard he tried, the young man just could not get back up.
After the sound of six drum beats, Waverly heard the ringing of a bell.
Joseph clapped his hands and said with a smile, "Boris is indeed a first-class master. It seems that this subordinate of mine needs to train for several years to be able to win against you."
"It's only because he is young, lacks combat experience and is too eager to win. He exposed a lot of opportunities for others to take advantage of. If he uses defense instead of offence, he won't be the weakest one in your team. When I was his age, I couldn't achieve even one-tenth of his skills. He is truly a formidable opponent," Boris said humbly.
Joseph looked upstairs and said, "This man's words make sense. I believe that you all can benefit a lot from him. Is there anyone who wants to come out and challenge him?"
"Me."
"No, pick me."
"I want to try."
"Choose me instead."
Waverly was speechless.
Almost everyone on the upper floor raised their hands.
Joseph looked at the woman next to him and asked, "Who is the man ranked 99th at the moment?"
"No. 1034," the woman said.
The corners of Joseph's mouth curled up and he said, "Then, let No. 1034 come here."
"I don't think this is fair." Waverly interrupted, "Boris didn't sleep much last night. He hasn't eaten anything yet and has been sitting in a car for such a long time. When we reached here, the first thing he had to do was to fight with your subordinate. He has consumed a lot of his energy."
