Chapter 1055 She No Longer Depends On Others

Waverly lifted her hair and smiled, "I cut my hair very short for some reasons before, only to find that it does not suit me. Hence, I bought wigs. It looks fake, doesn't it?"
Bellamy shook his head, "Your current hairstyle suits you well. It's charming and youthful."
"Ha." She laughed, "Thank you for your compliment, President Chuck. When my hair is longer, I'll change to this hairstyle. Honestly, I can only wear a wig in this season. When it's summer, it'll be too hot for wigs."
"Your face is small, so short hair should suit you. You don't have to care much about others' opinions. Just do what you want to do."
She nodded and continued to look out of the window.
After a while, they arrived at the hotel of the Department of External Affairs, which was guarded by guards.
"You don't have to send me in," she said.
Bellamy looked at his watch, "I'll wait for you outside for half an hour. Is it enough?"
"Yes." She walked inside. Under the guidance of the guards, she came to Yasmine's room.
She knocked on the door.
Yasmine opened the door and saw her. She smiled mockingly, "You're quite good at acting. Do you think it's useful?"
She calmly entered the room and looked at her.
She didn't think that Yasmine was competent, but she had an accomplished mother, who pulled out all the thorns on the scepter just to give her the highest power.
"I don't understand what you mean," she replied.
"Don't you understand? You refused to negotiate with me in A Country because you're afraid that I would take your credit. Unfortunately, Bellamy didn't love you. Otherwise, he wouldn't have signed the contract with me before you came. I was wrong. There is no love between you two," Yasmine said happily.
"We didn't love each other in the first place. If there is love, he and I wouldn't have divorced. A political marriage is bound by interests. This bond naturally disappears in the face of a greater interest," Waverly said.
"Do you really think so?" Yasmine stopped smiling and her eyes became gloomy, "If you really think so, what's the purpose of you coming here? Don't tell me that you came here to be my assistant instead of being self-righteous. You're self-righteous and think that Bellamy will sign the agreement with you."
Waverly smiled, "In the past, there was a mother. She had two children, a boy and a girl. She had a lot of money and wanted to leave it to her son. Unfortunately, her son died before her and her money could only be left to her own daughter. However, a long, long time later, after her daughter inherited the fortune, the son was found out to still be alive. Do you think the son will return without the inheritance?"
"Bellamy is not your father. You are talking nonsense."
"Maybe. Believe it or not, it's up to you. I'm here to report to you. I've another place to go, so I won't stay here for a long time. When you return to the country, I'll go with you," Waverly said calmly.
Yasmine frowned and glared at her.
She was excited when she heard Waverly came in the afternoon.
She wanted to see Waverly being sad. She wanted to trample her dignity, confidence and elegance under her feet.
However, Waverly was too calm. It was as if Bellamy signing the agreement with Yasmine was not a blow to her.
She was furious.
"It must be hard for you to pretend and maintain your countenance like this," she said in a tart and harsh tone.
"Do you care about my attitude?" Waverly asked in return, "Were all your efforts done for me to witness them? I am not familiar with you. I am happy that you care about me this much."
Yasmine's eyes widened and she sneered, "You're egotistical. What are you? Do you think I'll care about you?"
"It's good that you don't. I just want to be like a breeze that passes you by. If there is nothing else, I'm leaving. Miss Filthy, please inform me when you leave." Waverly nodded and turned around.
"Do you think I don't know? You are afraid that I will take your credit, so you deliberately caused a car accident and you didn't make it in time. Then, you applied for it when I haven't signed the agreement, so that you can become the only hero," Yasmine said gloomily.
Waverly looked ahead.
Yasmine couldn't see through these things. If she had, she wouldn't have left first.
It had to be that powerful mother of hers who had analyzed the situation with her.
"Since you have already made up your mind, it's useless for me to say anything. Congratulations, you have succeeded," Waverly said quietly.
"Are you sincerely congratulating me or are you up to something else?" Yasmine said cautiously.
Waverly looked back at her with a meaningful smile, as if she had seen through everything.
She just smiled and said nothing. Then, she left Yasmine's room and went out.
The guard came up to her and nodded respectfully, "Madam, please follow me."
Waverly nodded.
Five minutes later, she sat in Bellamy's car.
"Yasmine didn't make things difficult for you, did she?" He asked.
"A girl who earned her position by relying on other people's help. What's there to be afraid of? The true horror is her mother," she replied.
"This time around, Madam Lenny should be the one who planned Quill's incident," he agreed.
"Yasmine will marry Joseph, and Madam Lenny will eventually turn against us. I think you should be on your guard against Madam Lenny. In the face of interests, any relationship will be shaken," Waverly said meaningfully.
If they continued, she would feel sad again. She stopped talking and looked out of the window.
The car stopped in front of the red light and she saw the advertisement for Gorton Lowell's concert on the screen of Judison Plaza.
She liked the singer, Gorton, a lot. His voice was ethereal and deep. There was also a sense of loneliness and sadness in it.
His voice was comforting.
Previously, she was the wife of the president. She couldn't go to a concert, which would cause a lot of unnecessary troubles.
Now, she was just a civilian and she still had the money to buy a concert ticket.
She counted the days. When she returned to M Country, she could ask for a leave and come over to attend the concert.
Bellamy followed her gaze and looked out of the window. Then, his gaze fell on her side profile, "I remember that you love to listen to his songs. Do you want me to arrange it?"
She didn't look at him. There were a lot of things that she needed to solve on her own. It would be better that way. She would not be disappointed if there were no expectations, "There's no need."
