Chapter 902 Who Says We Can’t Be Together?

"Are you bringing anyone with you?" Waverly asked.
"Yeah, six people. Four men and two women. With us together, there will be eight people in total. We can form a group."
"Have you notified any authority in Africa?" Waverly asked with concern.
"It's a private trip."
"When will we come back? Are we really coming back on the 8th? That's too late. You have to work on that day. After all, you are the President. It's not good to be absent on your first day. I only mentioned that I want to go to Africa as a passing remark. Africa is too far, it will still take us two days by plane. It's a waste of time. Tomorrow is the 3rd, so we'll come back on the 6th. We'll go enjoy ourselves for three to four days. That'll be enough, and I'll be satisfied with it. You can then prepare for work on the 7th," Waverly was thinking of his duty.
"Hey, it'll be fine. This is the last trip. I'm just doing it as you wish," Bellamy said softly.
The more thoughtful he was toward her, the more she was worried about him. "You said that you're going to do as I wish, then let's go to R Country. It will only take over two hours for us to reach there. We'll have a lot of time on our hands."
Bellamy looked at her, distress in his eyes. "Waverly, you don't have to put up with it."
"I don't feel like I'm putting up with anything. I have always wanted to go to R Country. R Country is close to the sea, and there are snowy mountains, hot springs, and their culture there is awash with things to learn about. And then there's their ramen. I heard that the taste is phenomenal. Let's go and have some fun for three or four days. We can have a good time, and we won't have to exhaust ourselves," Waverly said with a smile.
"Okay, I'll rearrange it then," Bellamy went along with her.
"Hurry up and eat. After the meal, I have to pack up our luggage. You bought so much food that we probably can't finish it. That reminds me, don't forget to call Marie to work. Someone needs to take care of our dogs," Waverly said.
"I have already called her. She will come over before 8 a.m. tomorrow. We'll store what we can't finish in the refrigerator. It won't go bad in such a short time. Besides, Marie also needs to eat for the next few days. By the way, free up two hours for me later, I'll bring you out to shop for some clothes."
"There's no need for that." Waverly scooped some food onto Bellamy's dish. "I have plenty of clothes. I've even used some for the dog's home."
Bellamy suddenly held Waverly's hand. "It's a new year, you're going to need new clothes. That'll give the new year a fresher atmosphere, and I don't mind you having too much clothes. Even if you don't need any new clothes, I do, for myself."
Waverly withdrew her hand. "This is a special year, I'm adopting the minimalist lifestyle. Hurry up and dig in. It's cold in the winter, and the food will get cold easily, especially the broth. It won't be as delicious when it's cold."
Waverly carried bowls to the table.
She did not want new clothes because she really had too many of them. She couldn't take it all with her. Moreover, in the future, she would have to pick up a new style. These mature clothing would not be suitable for her by then.
Bellamy did not continue to persuade her, as Waverly was a stubborn person.
After the meal, Waverly returned to her room to pack her luggage.
There were a lot of clothes that she had to sort out. Once they are back from traveling, there would be no need for her to repack her suitcase, and she could just leave with all the clothes she needed.
Compared to Waverly, Bellamy only prepared a small box in which he packed some underclothes, a suit, and toiletries.
After packing his luggage, he did not leave the house but stayed to rearrange his schedule.
After Waverly was done with everything, she dialed a number whilst still in the room. "Bobe, it's me, Waverly. I promise to cooperate with you. After the 10th, I will go back to the Mccarthys in M Country. I hope that your men will heed to my authority."
"Such good news. I hope that you won't let me down. Speaking of my men, you may use them as you like," Bobe said happily.
"If there's nothing else, scratch the need to contact me. I will contact you. That should be everything." She then hung up the phone and took a deep breath. Since she had chosen this path, there was no room left for regrets.
She checked the time, it was already 4 p.m. It was time to prepare dinner for Bellamy.
After all, her chances of making a meal for him were now numbered.
She left the room, opened the refrigerator, and picked out a chunk of tenderloin steak. In addition to preparing it, she would also make some baked fish. There was even chicken in the fridge. It would be impossible for them to finish it all if she were to cook everything. It might already be too much with the steak and the fish. After thinking for a while, she decided to cook the chicken. They could bring it on the plane the next day.
She began to cook, and after a while, the room was filled with the aroma of food.
Bellamy sat in his study room, taking in a whiff of the aroma. For the first time, he had the feeling of being home. It was only when they were about to part ways that he realized just how much he would come to miss it.
If Sean could resolve the matter of the video, he would try to make her stay, even if the person she loved was in M Country.
However, their divorce would be unavoidable if they were unable to resolve the matter. It would only bring her greater harm if he forced her to stay.
A sour feeling flowed through his heart, making him feel very uncomfortable.
He opened the drawer, took out a pack of cigarettes from it, and pulled out a cigarette. Soon as he lit it, he took a drag at it, and the cumulus of smoke seemed to carry with it his feelings of abhorrence, fogging his facial features.
He took three deep drags before hearing a knock on his door.
Stubbing the cigarette butt away, he said, "Come in."
"Bellamy, it's time for dinner," Waverly said softly. Seeing the cigarette butt in the ashtray, she could tell that he was worried about something. She smiled slightly and said, "If you are occupied with something, you can have dinner later."
"No, not at all. I'm having a holiday, and I don't have to arrange a job for myself too. I'll come out in a bit." Bellamy shut down his computer, got up, and walked towards the door.
Waverly made her way downstairs first to serve the dishes.
Bellamy glanced at the dishes on the table. "Wow, that's a lot."
"If we can't finish it. we could bring it to the plane tomorrow. There is a microwave on the plane. It will warm up the food." Waverly explained, "Oh yeah, I've fed the dogs too."
"Feed them for a few more times, and they will become all chummy with you," Bellamy said.
Waverly lowered her eyes.
It didn't matter how chummy they were to each other. She was not going to take them with her.
Her cell phone rang. Glancing at it, she saw an unfamiliar number. She did not want to answer it, as it would ruin the harmonious atmosphere. She declined the call.
Her cell phone rang again, and it was still the same number. Annoyed, Waverly answered it.
"Waverly, I miss you. I really miss you, please forgive me, okay? Forgive me just this once. I will never do anything you don't like again in the future," Lenold said annoyingly.
She thought that she should change her phone number, as too many people knew of her current one.
However, if Bellamy wanted to find her and talk to her one day, she was afraid that he would not be able to find her. Or, she could change her number and only tell him about it.
However, wouldn't that be too deliberate? It was impossible for them to be together, so it was unnecessary to keep each other's numbers.
"You know what it takes to make me change my mind, right? Begging and pleading is not the way, it will only make me look down on you. Become the man of my dreams. When you do that, you don't even have to beg, I will go back to you naturally. If there is nothing else, don't call me anymore," Waverly said firmly.
"Why are you rejecting me? Have you really fallen in love with Bellamy? You two can't be together anymore. He can't stand being cheated on," Lenold said anxiously.
Bellamy snatched Waverly's mobile phone and immediately scolded Lenold, "Who said that we can't be together? Also, I know very well whether she has an affair or not. Stop bothering her, otherwise, I would not be able to guarantee what's going to happen to you next."
