Chapter 987 A Woman That The President Has Slept With

Since childhood, there were three men who had entered her heart.
One was Bernald who had protected her the entire time. In the end, he had died because of her. The other two were Lenold and Bellamy.
Yazoo's appearance...was incredibly similar to that of Bernald's. They looked incredibly alike.
The soft facial features, warm smile, maturity of a big brother, introverted temperament and the comfortable look in his eyes...
Waverly's nose began to twitch as she felt her emotions pouring out. She could not control herself any longer and her eyes were covered with moist fog.
"Would you excuse me..." She turned around and walked out of the room. Entering the corridor, she leaned against the wall.
Memories of the past elapsed through her mind one after another.
"There's no way. How could Yazoo look so much like Bernald?" she pondered.
In this world, he was the sole person who she had owed but could not repay.
She couldn't help shedding tears.
She knew that she should calm down. Crying now would ruin her plan and make her be unable to think rationally, even ruining her delicate makeup.
She shouldn't cry. She musn't cry.
However, she couldn't stop her tears.
A napkin was handed to her.
Waverly looked at him.
Yazoo looked at her with a complicated expression, "If I remember correctly, you're an incredibly strong person. You're not the type to cry easily."
Waverly took the napkin from his hand while trembling.
Originally, she had wanted to use the Moore family's power to fight Joseph. That meant that she had to pull the Moore Family to Joseph's opposing side.
Win or lose, she had no idea what the future would become like.
However, Yazoo and Bernald looked incredibly much like each other.
She didn't want to drag Yazoo in anymore. Staying away from the eye of the storm was the best way to protect him.
She wiped her tears and looked at him, "I'm in a bad mood today, so I won't attend your party anymore. Tell Hanold later that I'm leaving first."
"Since you're already here, let's party together. Your eye makeup is messed up. The more you wipe them yourself, the darker they get." Yazoo took another napkin. He said, "Don't move."
He wiped the makeup around her eyes.
Waverly fixed her gaze on his gentle face.
When she had left the Mccarthy family with her father, she was unhappy, so she hid under the tree outside the rear door and cried. That was when she had met Bernald for the first time.
He had given her a piece of chocolate and said with a smile, "I heard that if you eat sweets, you'll become happier."
At that time, they were still kids. From then on, they had grown up together.
Although he was just a neighbor, in her heart, Bernald was like her real family.
She relied on him and trusted him, but in the end, she had caused his death.
Tears rolled down her face again.
"Please stop crying or I won't be able to finish wiping your tears off," Yazoo said.
Waverly realized that she had lost her composure and took a step back, "You don't have to wipe them. It doesn't matter. I don't care," She said.
"Girls always like to be pretty. Why don't you go to the bathroom to wash your face? It's just in front of us," he suggested.
Waverly shook her head and said, "There's no need for that. I'll leave first."
She nodded and walked towards the stairs.
Yazoo held her hand and sighed, "Hanold is my best friend. Normally, he would tell me about everything he did. However, he has never mentioned you to me before. You looked for him because you wanted to see me, right?"
Waverly heard his question, so she simply decided not to conceal anything and said, "I just wanted to ask why you refused to go on the blind date."
"I've heard a piece of news today and I was incredibly shocked. Do you know Bernald?" Yazoo asked.
"Yes, he was my neighbor and was also like my brother. Five years ago, I jumped off the bridge because I was betrayed. Bernald jumped down to save me. I was fine, but something happened to him," Waverly said as her tears streamed down again.
"I heard that he was my younger brother," Yazoo frowned.
"You are indeed quite similar to him. Bernald only had a mother. After the accident, Bernald's mother moved away. I don't know where she is now," Waverly said.
"I only found out recently. Joseph told me that my mother gave birth to two children and couldn't afford to raise two. Then, she gave me back to my father and led a life with my brother. My brother died because of you," Yazoo said directly and looked at Waverly with a complicated expression.
Waverly had guessed that the reason why Yazoo had chosen not to come to the blind date had something to do with Joseph.
He seemed to know all kinds of secrets. Anything could be exposed at any time. He was like a ticking time bomb that was able to change the fate of others.
"He died because of me," Waverly said with red eyes and nodded. "Thank you for telling me so frankly."
"Then, can we treat this as a blind date?" Yazoo spoke while smiling.
Waverly looked at the warm smile on his face. She no longer wanted to drag him into her problems, so she replied, "My affairs are extremely complicated. It's better to stay away from people like me. I'm not here for a blind date. I just wanted to know the reason."
"Looks like you haven't taken a fancy to me," Yazoo said regretfully.
Waverly failed to answer him.
"Since you're here, come here and have a seat. Many of my friends don't have girlfriends. Tell me which one you like and I'll introduce them to you," Yazoo said in a well-mannered tone.
"He really looks like Bernald..." Waverly thought.
She remained silent.
"Don't you want them to trust you? Anyway, you should get to know them and let them know about you. Maybe you can find a mate during the blind date," Yazoo said with a grin.
"Fine, I'll go wash my face," Waverly said softly. She looked at Yazoo without blinking as if she really saw Bernald.
"Do you want me to take you there?" Yazoo asked.
Waverly shook her head and replied, "Your friends are waiting for you. I can go alone."
"Remember the room number, 308. If you don't remember how to get there, you can ask the waiter to lead the way," Yazoo reminded.
Waverly nodded, "Okay."
She found the bathroom. She noticed that her eyes were swollen and her makeup was also ruined. She washed her face again, reapplied her toner and put on makeup again. After adjusting her mood, she went back.
When she reached the door of the room, she heard the people inside discussing her.
"Is that the President's previous wife, Waverly? I watched the video of her," someone gossiped.
"It's not her. I've asked someone to compare the woman in the video. Obviously, the woman in the video had plastic surgery, which can be seen at a glance. Although she had plastic surgery, she was not as beautiful as Waverly," Hanold explained.
"She's not quite the same as the one in the video. I saw her on TV before. She was like a mature old woman. She has a cold personality and looks difficult to get along with."
"She is extremely friendly, easy to talk to and gentle. What you see on TV isn't the whole picture," Hanold explained again.
"Wow, I didn't expect you to be able to call her over," another person said.
"I did business in A Country before. She had a good reputation there. She was framed, so she had to go through a divorce. You guys should take good care of her later and not bully her," Hanold said.
"Hahaha, you brat. Don't tell me you've fallen for her. She's a woman that the President has slept with before."
