Chapter 1022 I Only Love You
"Didn't Bellamy come to negotiate with Ronaldo this time? He said that the negotiation had gone smoothly, so why would the Harrington family's people shoot him?" Waverly was puzzled.
"Although Ronaldo is the heir to the Harrington family, he is incompetent and a coward. The Harrington family has been overshadowed by the Mccarthy family, and they've been dissatisfied with that for quite some time. If Bell is no longer in the equation, Ronaldo would lose his backing and the other people in the Harrington family could then take over his position. Jasper has gone to M Country, and he will save Bell," Stella promised.
"Yes, please save him and let me know later," Waverly hung up the phone and returned the mobile phone to the doctor. "Thank you," she thanked the doctor again.
The doctor looked at Waverly and asked curiously, "Can I ask you a question? I'll cover for you and give you some prescription later on if you answer."
Since the doctor had just helped her, Waverly looked at the doctor and neither accepted nor rejected his request.
"You do like the president of A Country, right? I can hear your concern for him through your words," the doctor asked.
"I've always liked him and that fact has never changed," Waverly replied softly, the look in her eyes even growing a little gentler.
"Is that video real or not, though?"
Waverly shook her head, "Thank you, doctor. I have to go now."
"I support you. I hope you can have a good future with the president of A Country," the doctor gave his blessing.
Waverly nodded, but her eyes were bloodshot.
She was touched upon meeting a stranger who was giving them his blessings.
The doctor wrote something on the medical card and handed it to Waverly, asking, "You're having a stomachache, right? I will state that you have an endocrine disorder and prescribe you some supplements."
"Alright," Waverly took the medical card and went out.
"How was the consultation? Are you alright?" Yadriel asked suspiciously.
Waverly passed the medical card to Yadriel, "The doctor has prescribed me some medicine. Could you please help me to go get it?"
"Let's go together." Yadriel turned and went to the counter to take the prescription and left with Waverly.
On the way home, he reported to Joseph, "It's alright. I've checked it. They gave her some supplements. Alright, I know."
Waverly frowned, "You know about medicine?"
"I do know some simple medicine ingredients," Yadriel replied unpleasantly.
Waverly was surprised.
She had always thought that the people around Joseph were all thugs. The fact that Yadriel was so well educated was truly unbelievable.
"You don't really want to marry me, do you?" Waverly doubted.
"Marrying you is just an order to me. I have no choice but to obey," Yadriel said solemnly.
"You also have the right to pursue your own happiness. If you ever meet a woman you love in future, you will regret your decision now," Waverly tried to persuade him.
"Among women, friends and Mr. Joseph, I'd choose Mr. Joseph," Yadriel retorted coldly.
Waverly was amused that the brutal Joseph had such a loyal subordinate.
No matter how much Waverly tried to persuade him, Yadriel refused to budge. However, she genuinely did not want to marry Yadriel at all!
It seemed that she had constantly been under pressure since she returned to M Country.
She felt immensely annoyed!
Yadriel glanced at Waverly and said, "If you don't want to marry me, there's only one way left."
Waverly looked at Yadriel and asked, "What is it?"
"Persuade Mr. Joseph to take back his orders," Yadriel uttered blankly.
"If I ask him to take back his orders, he'll definitely think that I have other ideas. According to his personality, he won't go back on his word," Waverly was quite certain about it.
Yadriel looked into the distance, "Of course he won't do as you wish if you make him angry. That's all I'm going to say. What your next move is going to be is up to you."
Yadriel stepped on the accelerator, his eyes filled with frustration as he gripped the steering wheel harshly.
An hour later, Yadriel took Waverly to another place she had never been before.
It was located halfway up the mountain, in the middle of the greenery.
Waverly got out of the car.
Yadriel walked in front of her. He opened the door and entered the room. Pushing open the uppermost room, he reminded Waverly, "You are staying here. I advise you to not think about escaping. Mr. Joseph won't let you get away with things over and over again."
Then, Yadriel turned and walked out of the room. He made a phone call and told the receiving end with a straight face, "I'm sorry, let's break up. There's no reason behind me doing so. If you demand for one, it's that I'll get married soon."
......
Waverly did not plan to escape. After all, Bellamy was still in M Country. If she escaped, Bellamy would be in more danger since the country was under Joseph's jurisdiction.
Time always seemed to slow down when one was awaiting something.
She wondered about Bellamy's condition at the moment.
Had he woken up? Had he returned to his country yet? Was he safe?
The door opened suddenly.
Seeing that it was Joseph who had come in, Waverly's body tensed. She watched him alertly, hoping to get some information from his blank face.
However, she could gauge nothing.
He sat on the sofa and gazed at her like an X-ray machine.
Waverly was afraid of this gaze, as it felt like a beast's when it lurked in the darkness, staring at its prey.
There was nowhere else for her to hide, and danger surrounded her the entire time
The more he stayed silent, the more nervous she felt, as if her heartbeat would stop any time.
Yadriel's words flashed through her mind.
She took a deep breath and asked, "Are you hungry?"
Joseph looked at her deeply and asked, "What type of 'hungry' are you referring to?"
Waverly was rendered speechless.
She had always known that Joseph was evil and vicious ever since he was young. She didn't expect that he would be so lascivious after he grew up.
She turned her face away and answered him, "I was referring to your stomach."
"I'm quite hungry. Are you going to make me something to eat?" Joseph sounded as mean as usual.
Waverly was too lazy to put up a show with him so she decided to ask, "How's Bellamy?"
With a deadly look in his eyes, Joseph stood up and gritted his teeth, "He's dead."
Waverly's breath and heartbeat stopped for an instant. Like a body who had lost its soul, she collapsed bonelessly onto the bed.
It was impossible. Stella had mentioned that the bullet did not hit his heart. It was just that his old wound had not healed yet, so his circumstances were a bit complex.
No, Joseph's words could not be trusted.
Hopeful again, she glared at Joseph sternly, "Is it fun to trick me?"
Joseph sneered, "Do you know who's the doctor saving Bellamy now?"
Waverly had a bad feeling, "What do you mean by that?"
"The doctor who is now treating Bellamy is under my control. If I want him dead, he won't survive," Joseph stated cold-heartedly.
Waverly's heart was trembling, causing her whole body to shiver. However, she had to force herself to calm down, "What exactly do you mean by doing all this?"
Joseph sat down beside Waverly and looked at her apathetically, "You love him so much, don't you?"
Waverly frowned, "You're the one I love."
Shocked for a moment, Joseph's wintry eyes contracted and widened, "What?"
