Chapter 861 Eli's Spectators

Sean walked to the side of the bed. Noticing his shadow, Eli looked at him and sat upright.
Sitting down at on the edge of the bed, Sean held on to Eli's left hand and put a diamond ring on her ring finger.
Eli noticed that he had already worn the diamond ring on his finger.
The diamond was huge, and there was a letter "L" engraved inside it. Holding Sean's hand, Eli turned her hands around and looked at the diamond ring on his finger.
There was a letter "S'' engraved inside his diamond ring too.
Eli laughed and said, "Luckily, my name doesn't start with an "M". Otherwise, we will be a perfect match. With the letter "S" and "M", together we will be "SM".
Surprisingly, Sean did not debate on her words as he would usually. He was staring deeply at her with eyes as gentle as water, captivating a human's soul.
Eli started to feel uneasy. Was he planning to get intimate with her?
She did not want to.
"I'm a little sleepy. Let me take a bath first before going to bed," she said, getting up from the bed and going straight into the bathroom. She remembered that she did not have new clothes to change in. She opened the door, poked her head out, and asked, "Sean, are my clothes still in the house that I used to stay in? Could you please ask someone to bring them over for me?"
Without a word, Sean got up. He opened the cabinet and took a brand new set of pajamas out. Then, he handed it to her and said, "I've already thrown all the old ones away and bought some new ones for you. I'll bring you out to buy more tomorrow."
Eli took the clothes from him and asked, "Could I go shopping alone? You will scare the shop assistant out of their wits if you bring so many people to follow me around.
"I'm the owner of the shopping mall. The normal operating hour starts at 10 a.m. We could go there at 8 a.m," Sean said.
The corner of her lips twitched, and she said, "You're awesome and mighty, aren't you?"
She closed the door and took a bath. It took her almost an hour to clean herself as she only had an arm.
Sean had already taken a shower. He was leaning against the bed rails, sipping a glass of red wine, deep in thought. Seeing her coming out from the bathroom, he got up, took a goblet, and handed it to her. "Come have a drink. I have already aerated the wine."
Eli took the goblet from Sean and took a sip. "It tastes quite good. It's sweet, sour, and smooth."
She swallowed the whole wine glass of wine in just one gulp.
"Do you want more?" Sean offered.
"That's enough. It's good to drink a bit of red wine before bed. It helps in making one look younger. However, it'll hurt our stomach if we drink too much," Eli said. Afterward, she climbed onto the bed, turned to her side, and pretended to fall asleep.
Sean finished up the remaining wine in his glass and got into bed.
Eli could feel the bed behind her sinking, a rush of heat approaching her.
Sean turned her body over toward him.
Eli wondered if she should keep pretending to be asleep.
It would be obvious that she was pretending. Hence, she opened her eyes and looked at him instead.
Sean leaned in and planted a kiss on her lips. However, Eli covered his mouth with her hand and said with a smile, "My period is coming. My stomach feels a little uncomfortable."
"Does it hurt?" Sean asked with concern, already putting his hand on her belly, rubbing it gently.
She was just using it as an excuse. Her cycle had been in a mess for a long time. Sometimes, she had her period twice a month, and sometimes she will not even have it in awhile. The doctor said that her body was affected by her hormones.
Not long after she left A Country, Sean's men had locked her in the icehouse three times a week, four hours each time. Her body became very weak after a period of time. She had suffered from various diseases such as arthritis, rheumatism, migraine, as well as irregular menstruation since then.
Sean's hand was warm, and the strength of his massage was just right.
She slowly closed her eyes, her heart beating steadily not long after.
Sean did not let go of his hand even after she fell asleep and continued massaging her belly.
Eli heard the sound of birds chirping outside the window early in the morning. She opened her eyes and looked at Sean.
Sean was already awake and watching her sleep. She did not know how long he had been watching her.
Eli knew that she was not extremely beautiful or gorgeous. She can't help but felt awkward whenever Sean stared at her. "Could we make a deal? Don't stare at me like this again, okay?"
Sean turned around and got up before her. Then he said, "It's only six in the morning. Get up and go for a run with me."
"What? A run?" Eli's face turned as pale as ash.
She hated running the most. When Stella ran every day, she would rather choose to sleep. "I'm not fully awake."
Eli rolled over, and continued to sleep with her back facing Sean.
Without hesitation, Sean picked her up.
In shock, Eli grabbed his arm and asked, "What are you doing?"
"Exercise enhances our cell reactivity, strengthens our body, and improves our immunity. So, let's run together every day," Sean said domineeringly.
"No way. I don't want to run. I want to rest in bed," Eli protested.
He carried Eli into the bathroom and said, "If you can't run, then you could still walk around. Your brain will be deprived of oxygen if you keep lying down. That's why you always feel tired, weak, and lazy."
"I don't want to go for a walk. Aren't we going to the shopping mall around eight? Let me lie in bed for another hour and have a bite after. Then, it'll be almost time," Eli said, still struggling.
Sean put her down. He squeezed the toothpaste, handed the toothbrush to her, and said, "Walk with me for half an hour. We will slowly increase the hours day by day from now on. Your body is very weak."
"Humans will eventually die someday. Why are tiring yourself out? You work out every day while I lie down and rest. Don't you think that it'll be a loss if you die earlier than me?" Eli said, taking the toothpaste from his hand and brushing her teeth casually.
"That's absurd. Unless things were to happen out of the norm, I would definitely die after you," Sean said, holding up a cup of water to her mouth. Eli lowered her head and took a sip of water to rinse her mouth.
"Who knows? Everyone has their own fate. It's destined. Let's leave everything up to fate," She said in a free and easy manner.
After washing up, Sean took her downstairs for a walk.
Eli could not help but roll her eyes. She knew that he would not let her go easily even after they got married.
She ran behind him dispiritedly and saw Eudora approaching Sean gracefully.
Eli saw her from afar and raised a smile.
This will be a good show to watch. She would rather watch a show than run.
"Alastair," Eudora called out tenderly as she walked over with an invitation in her hand.
Sean stopped on his track.
"My brother would like to invite you to his child's banquet. This is the invitation card," Eudora said gently.
"Mmm," Sean answered and took the invitation card from her.
Eudora grabbed hold of Sean's arm and grumbled, "Alastair, you didn't come and look for me yesterday."
Sean shook her hand away and said, "Eudora, I've only ever treated you as my younger sister."
"A younger sister? You only treat me like your sister?" Eudora said, unable to stay calm. Sean had been very nice to her for the past few days. Therefore, she assumed that she had become his girlfriend.
