Chapter 121 How Dare You Hit Mary!
Mary stared angrily at Susan, who was sitting in front of her.
She never expected Susan to be so unreasonable.
Susan barged into her office with her bodyguards and had her hands restrained.
Two bodyguards were also standing at the office door, blocking the entrance.
A crowd of employees had gathered at the door, all anxiously watching them.
They had all just witnessed Susan slap Mary six times ruthlessly.
Even Larry was blocked at the door.
It wasn't that Larry was unwilling to enter, but that he merely couldn't afford to provoke Susan in the office.
After all, Susan had directly bought his company with one hundred million dollars.
Now, Larry was just a nominal chairman while Susan was the actual owner of the company.
Susan glanced indifferently at her Patek Philippe crystal watch and said calmly, "William should be here in ten minutes."
William?
Mary's eyebrows furrowed as she said in a deep voice, "Mrs. White, why did you ask William to come? If you want to cause trouble, come at me. There's no need to involve William."
Mary was anxious. If William saw her in this state, she was worried he might act impulsively.
The incident with Patricia Brown was a precedent.
Moreover, in Mary's eyes, William's family background couldn't compare to Susan's. If William really did something to Susan, the consequences would be unimaginable.
However, Susan coldly laughed and said, "This matter is William's fault. You deserve to be punished and William must see this. He must know that if he can't give me an explanation, I don't mind making you disappear from this world."
Disappear from this world?
Mary was stunned, her body trembling with fear. Susan's tone was terrifying.
What did Susan intend to do?
Seeing Mary's panicked face, Susan coldly added, "Mary, if you don't want anything to happen to your daughter, I advise you to divorce William as soon as possible. I don't want to see the worst happen."
That was a totally blatant threat.
Susan was exuding a chilling aura, aggressive and terrifying. Especially her eyes, which were extremely frightening.
But Mary wouldn't just surrender, especially when it came to Sarah.
"Susan, I warn you, don't lay a finger on my daughter, or I'll fight it out with you." Mary suddenly shifted from fear to a strong stance, struggling desperately.
However, the two bodyguards in black suits behind her held her arms tightly, causing her immense pain.
"What did you say? You're threatening me?" Susan laughed, her face full of coldness, exuding an intimidating aura that was overwhelming.
Mary didn't stand a chance at all when she confronted Susan at this moment!
Just after exchanging a glance with Susan, Mary chickened out soon.
The atmosphere in Mary's office suddenly became extremely oppressive.
Even the employees in the company lobby couldn't help but tremble.
"Susan, what exactly do you want?" Mary asked nervously, trying to suppress the fear in her soul.
Susan looked at Mary silently, then stood up, walked over to her, and slapped her directly, her eyes full of disdain. "You're in no position to ask me."
As she heard that, Mary was burning with anger.
Susan was too domineering and terrifying. Mary gritted her teeth and said, "Susan, you'd better leave quickly. William won't let you go when he arrives."
At this moment, Mary could only think of William.
Susan sneered and said, "Mary, you think too highly of yourself. You probably don't know this, but in William's eyes, you're just a dispensable object. To this day, you don't even know what William does. What right do you have to speak to me in that tone?"
"I don't care what William does. I only know that he is my husband." Mary retorted fearlessly.
Susan just gave her another slap.
That slap was harsh and Susan's eyes were menacing.
Mary's cheeks were red, and blood was oozing from the corner of her mouth.
"If you have the guts, kill me now." Mary was indeed stubborn, showing no weakness at this moment.
If Mary had been afraid of Susan earlier, now she was undoubtedly more imposing than Susan.
Susan was furious.
She thought, 'Mary is such an ignorant and shameless woman. Does she really think I won't dare to do anything to her?'
"It seems you need to know who I am," Susan said coldly, signaling to the two bodyguards.
The two bodyguards immediately twisted Mary's arms behind her back, pressed her head down, and then kicked her hard in the calf.
Mary cried out in pain, falling to her knees with a thud.
The two bodyguards forcibly held Mary's head down tightly and shouted, "Apologize to Mrs. White."
Susan looked down at Mary, letting out a cold laugh, and said, "Mary, weren't you very tough? So what are you doing now? Begging me? Then go ahead, speak up. As long as you do, I'll let you go."
Mary, full of unwillingness, struggled angrily, but the two bodyguards were too strong, and she couldn't break free.
Lifting her head stubbornly, she glared at Susan and spat out a mouthful of blood, laughing, "I would rather die than beg you. Susan, is this all you've got?"
Hearing this, Susan was instantly irritated and her face turned purple with rage. She raised her hand to slap Mary again.
Suddenly, a furious shout came from the doorway. "Stop it!"
William rushed into the company and saw the scene in the office, so angry that even his eyes were gonna pop out!
'Blasted Susan, she's courting death!' thought William.
Susan turned around and met William's bloodshot eyes. She didn't stop but instead swung her hand down with a cold smile on her lips.
In an instant, a surge of anger completely consumed William.
At the door, two bodyguards tried to stop William.
But William directly kicked the two of them to the ground.
At this moment, William had no intention of holding back.
The skills he had learned from Andres were once again put to use.
"Susan. You're courting death!" William roared, standing at the doorway. He clenched his fists with his pupils contracted. He had lost his sanity out of rage.
Especially, Mary had obvious marks on her face and also knelt in front of so many people.
Then he struck another punch and kick, knocking down the two bodyguards holding Mary. They fell to the ground and twitched. It was hard to tell whether they were alive or dead.
William helped Mary up, his eyes bloodshot. He took a deep breath and turned around to fix his eyes on Susan.
Susan had hit Mary and made the latter kneel!
Obviously, Susan had crossed his bottom line.
"William, I didn't expect to see your true nature today. Shouldn't you thank me for letting you unleash your instincts?" Susan said arrogantly, not worried that William would actually hit her.
William's lips curled into a cold smile with a cold look. He said in an aloof voice, "Susan, you asked for this yourself."
William raised his hand and slapped Susan angrily.
Susan was knocked onto the sofa. She clutched her face, her eyes full of shock. She yelled hysterically, "William, how dare you actually hit me?"
"Why wouldn't I dare?" William roared, "Susan, I warned you repeatedly not to provoke me, and especially not to mess with Mary. Why didn't you listen?"
At this moment, all the employees were shocked by William's display of dominance.
Was this still Mary's useless husband?
Was he always this fierce?
Mary stood behind William, feeling for the first time that William was like a completely different person, a total stranger.
Especially the aura William was exuding now was terrifying, which was a lot more frightening than Susan's earlier.
Susan stood up from the sofa, furious, "William, you will regret hitting me today."
William laughed coldly, "Susan, don't try to challenge me. The White family means nothing to me. Don't forget who helped your family regain its position."
It was like a thunderclap in Susan's heart.
Yes, the White family had regained its status as the top family in Imperial City because of William.
Susan had gotten used to being a wealthy heiress over the years and had forgotten how the White family had initially allied with William.
Thinking of this, Susan lost heart she collapsed weakly onto the sofa.
Seeing William about to say something, Mary quickly pulled him back, shaking her head. "William, it's enough. I'm fine now."
Mary didn't understand what William and Susan actually meant. She just didn't want William to offend Susan because of her.
Mary knew that Susan's family was very wealthy and powerful.
Could William really afford to offend them?
William looked at Mary, his cold eyes turning gentle, and said, "Alright."
With that, William ignored Susan and left with Mary.
Behind them, Susan's hysterical screams echoed, "William, you will regret this! Definitely!"
Having left BK Pharmaceuticals, William took Mary to the hospital to check her injuries.
After getting the medication, they sat in the waiting area. Mary hesitated for a long time before suddenly asking, "William, are you hiding something from me?"
