Chapter 298 Don't Court Death!

Percival walked ahead to lead the way, and Alvin followed closely behind. The footsteps of the group echoed chaotically and urgently in the hotel corridor.

Percival had no idea of exactly what had happened. He only heard from his subordinates that Algernon had captured someone, and soon after, people from Ignatius arrived, demanding to take the person away.

The fact that this matter involved Ignatius made things complicated.

What exactly was going on? Who had been captured, and why did it involve Ignatius? Even Alvin had rushed over urgently!

Percival felt uneasy. He pushed open the tightly closed suite door and said respectfully, "Mr. Weaver, it's here."

An overwhelming stench of blood promptly filled the suite, prompting frowns from everyone at the door. Some even turned around and ran out to vomit!

Percival forced down the urge to vomit and looked inside the suite. When he saw the scene inside, he shuddered, cold sweat streaming down his body. Trembling, he angrily shouted, "Arrest him! Arrest him now!"

As the general manager of the branch, Percival was experienced and seasoned, but this was the first time he had seen such a bloody scene!

Inside the suite, three of Ignatius' men were beaten beyond recognition, including his old friend, Alaric!

And his own subordinate, Algernon, was so scared that he was cowering in a corner, not daring to move!

Looking at the assailant, he even dared to grin at Percival, utterly arrogant!

Could Alvin have come for this kind of thug?

William was the first to notice Alvin standing at the door. He slightly curled his lips and greeted warmly, "Mr. Weaver, long time no see."

Seeing William sitting there unharmed, Alvin finally felt a weight lift off his chest.

Looking at the people lying around him, Alvin understood instantly.

William's skills were clearly not simple. No wonder Andres had specifically instructed him to take good care of William.

Upon his arrival, Alvin had decided to remove Percival as branch general manager if anything befell William.

He exchanged a glance with William, frowned slightly, and nodded. "Mr. Jones, what happened here? Are they okay?"

Alvin was also worried that William might have done something extreme. If these guys were beaten to death, it wouldn't be easy to handle.

But Alvin's personal bodyguards, including Percival and Algernon, standing in the suite, were all staring at William with wide eyes.

Mr. Jones?

The dignified Alvin actually called him Mr. Jones?

They knew each other?

And from Alvin's tone, it was clear he was being deferential!

How could this be possible?

Algernon had always thought William was just an ordinary person, but now he was dumbfounded, his legs trembling in fear. Although he didn't understand how William knew Alvin, he knew he couldn't escape tonight!

Lying on the ground, Alaric also felt utterly desperate. It was all over!

William glanced at everyone's changing expressions and sneered inwardly. He stood up and said, "It's nothing. These guys will just spend a few days in the hospital. It's a good thing you arrived early. Otherwise, I can't guarantee what I might have done next."

Alvin let out a sigh of relief, cold sweat breaking out on his forehead. The moment William stood up, his aura was incredibly intense!

No wonder Andres had repeatedly warned him not to provoke William!

"Mr. Weaver, what do you say?" Percival asked.

He was astute enough to see that Alvin held the highest authority here, so he waited for Alvin's orders.

Alvin glanced around and commanded, "Contact the hospital and send them over first."

Then he pointed at William and said, "Release him."

Once Alvin gave the order, Percival didn't dare disobey and quickly nodded in agreement.

William raised his head and softly said, "Wait, it's not over yet."

Not over yet?

William's cold, indifferent tone made Algernon and Alaric feel like they were confronting a formidable enemy.

The entire suite fell silent instantly!

A trace of seriousness flashed across Percival's face. Did William really intend to turn his branch upside down?

If Ignatius' people asked about this, it would be hard for him to explain.

Tonight, Percival had turned a blind eye because of Ignatius' orders.

William looked at Algernon and then at Alaric, easily reading the fear on their faces!

At this moment, none of them dared to meet his gaze!

"Mr. Weaver, do you know why I was captured and brought here?" William said, lightly patting Alvin's shoulder, a smile on his lips.

How could Alvin not know the reason? He had already investigated on the way here, which was why he had rushed over so urgently.

Alvin glanced at Algernon, who was trembling all over in fear, and shouted, "Are you Algernon?"

Algernon was so frightened that he immediately fell to his knees, his voice trembling as he stammered, "I... I am."

William looked at Algernon with a mocking smile and said, "Algernon, what's wrong? Weren't you the one who swore to capture me? Now that Mr. Weaver is here, why don't you explain yourself?"

Algernon was on the verge of tears, repeatedly saying, "It was a mistake. I messed up and caught the wrong person."

Algernon regretted it deeply. Why did he provoke William?

Anyone who could get close enough to talk to Alvin could easily kill him within minutes!

"A mistake?" William sneered. "I don't think it's that simple. Maybe you took a bribe and were instructed by someone to do this?"

Algernon immediately shook his head, refusing to admit it. "No! Absolutely not! You're slandering me!"

"Slandering? It seems you're still stubborn!" William said coldly.

Hearing this, Alvin was stunned, and his aura suddenly intensified as he commanded, "Algernon, you'd better tell me the truth!"

Seeing William's cold gaze, Algernon gave up on trying to argue. The threat of death made him feel as if he were being pricked by needles all over his body!

He lowered his head, no longer making any excuses.

"Disgraceful!" Alvin roared angrily.

Furious, he pointed at Percival and cursed, "Percival, this is your subordinate! He must be severely punished! You must give me an explanation!"

Percival silently kept his head down, cold sweat covering his forehead.

He knew that Algernon had ruined his future at that moment!

"Mr. Weaver, rest assured. I will investigate thoroughly and give you a satisfactory explanation!" Percival said solemnly.

Alvin immediately corrected, "Not to give me an explanation, but to give Mr. Jones an explanation!"

William shook his head and played a recording on his phone. Alaric, who had been pretending to be unconscious, completely passed out.

"Investigate! Investigate thoroughly, including Ignatius and the organization behind him! Punish them severely!" Alvin commanded.

Hearing this, Percival knew that Lindwood City was really going to change!

Ignatius' organization wasn't something to be easily investigated.

What kind of presence was Ignatius' organization?

Lindwood City had it, and if it was destroyed, another would emerge.

The Southern District had it, and so did other areas!

Behind them was the real center, the Crimson Empire!

No one dared to provoke them!

William left the hotel, personally escorted by Alvin.

"Look into the details of the Crimson Empire. I have a family ban on me right now, so I can't call for family support," William said, glancing at Benjamin in the shadows, his expression cold.

In the past, he would have gone straight to the Crimson Empire.

But now, with the family ban, William had to act cautiously.

Even using Alan wasn't a foolproof plan.

William knew that someone was definitely behind the Crimson Empire, and whether it was Jeffery or not didn't matter.

That was just a small figure. Even if he made a comeback, he couldn't make much of a stir.

Back at the villa, William called Mary. On the other end, Mary's anxious voice came through, "Honey, where are you? Are you okay? Jeffery said you were captured."

Jeffery?

"Are you with Jeffery?" William asked as his face suddenly changed, emanating a chill.

"Yes," Mary replied.

She was in a restaurant with Jeffery sitting across from her. Jeffery's face didn't look good at the moment.

Maybe it was because William had been released?

How could that be?

"I'll come get you!" William hung up the phone and rushed over.

Seeing Mary hang up, Jeffery asked with a fake smile, "What's wrong? Is William okay?"

Mary wiped her tears and said with a smile, "Yes, he's out. He'll be here soon."

"That's good. I was really worried about him," Jeffery said, smiling.

After sitting for a while, he got up with the excuse of going to the restroom. He immediately called Ignatius and scolded, "Ignatius, what's going on? You can't even handle such a small matter?!"

Ignatius replied, "Mr. Gray, there was a little accident. The person you asked us to capture actually knows Alvin. I'll refund your money."

With that, he hung up the phone.

Jeffery was so angry that he banged the wall.

He had been careless, not expecting William to know Alvin!

Taking a deep breath, Jeffery composed himself and returned to the restaurant.

He approached Mary with a smile, only to be grabbed by a strong arm on his shoulder from behind.

Jeffery turned his head, about to curse.

However, in the next second, a solid fist landed heavily on his face!

A voice snapped, "Jeffery! I warn you, if you dare have any more schemes, I won't let you off!"

William suddenly appeared, his eyes cold as ice.
