Mary frowned slightly, offered a cooperative smile, and said, "Mr. Henderson, we are very keen to cooperate with you, but..."

Acquire BK Pharmaceuticals? The Henderson family was too ambitious!
Mary gave a faint sneer. Crossing her arms, she looked at Evander and Archibald and asked, "Acquiring BK Pharmaceuticals? Is this the Henderson family's intention, or yours, Evander?"
"Ms. Smith, please don't look at me like that. Of course, this is the Henderson family's intention. Think about it. The Henderson family is one of the top families in Imperial City, with immense resources behind them. Wouldn't that perfectly solve BK Pharmaceuticals' current financial issues? Mary refused firmly, "Mr. Henderson, I'm sorry. If it's another form of cooperation, we might be able to discuss it further, but an acquisition is absolutely impossible!"
She stood up and coldly told her assistant, "Show them out!"
Archibald's brow furrowed, and his face instantly darkened. He asked, "Ms. Smith, are you rejecting me?"
"Am I not allowed to refuse?" Mary sneered.
"I have never been turned down before, and you are the first. I hope you think it over carefully. I represent the Henderson family. BK Pharmaceuticals being considered for acquisition by the Henderson family is your honor. Don't disappoint me!" Archibald said with a blatant threat in his tone.
Narrowing her eyes, Mary coldly said, "We are not afraid of anyone, nor do we accept any cooperation under pressure!"
Archibald laughed heartily, saying, "Good! You're indeed the rose of Lindwood City's pharmaceutical industry, with thorns!"
He couldn't let Mary go. He was eager to have such a beautiful woman.
Archibald had an overwhelming desire to conquer. His heart raced, and his body yearned as he looked at the Mary before him.
The temperature in the office plummeted, becoming chillingly cold!
Mary indifferently stared at Archibald, while Archibald, sitting proudly in the chairman's office chair, with an air of superiority, said, "Ms. Smith, think it over carefully. This time, I have only two objectives: to successfully acquire BK Pharmaceuticals or to successfully bring down it. The choice is yours. Consider it well."
He added, "You should know, the three billion dollar investment your company received is just pocket change to my family."
Mary finally couldn't hold back her temper, her eyebrows furrowing as she said angrily, "Don't push me too far!"
"Oh, Ms. Smith, Mr. Henderson is doing this for the good of you. Think about it, with the Henderson family backing you, your company will be a top ten pharmaceutical company, and breaking into the Imperial City pharmaceutical market will be just around the corner. You will still be the chairwoman. What's not to like?" Evander interjected with a fawning attitude.

Archibald sat in the chairperson's seat, playing with the ring on his finger, and said arrogantly, "Then there's nothing more to discuss."
Archibald stood up, hands behind his back. He turned to Larkin, who stood nearby, and commanded, "Larkin, take her away."
Larkin nodded slightly.
Mary watched as Larkin took step after step towards her, feeling an overwhelming pressure from him!
"Ms. Smith, I'm sorry," Larkin said, then reached out a hand to grab Mary!
At that moment, the door to the office was suddenly pushed open from the outside, and William burst in with a goofy smile, "Ms. Smith, did you call for me?"
After all, calling her "honey" in the office wasn't appropriate.
Everyone in the office was stunned, their eyes all locked on William standing at the door.
There were looks of anger, suspicion, nervousness, excitement, and confusion.
William walked in obediently and closed the office door behind him.
"Ms. Smith, what's going on here?" William asked.
Actually, he had been waiting outside for a while, and now he barged in, pretending to be clueless.
The moment William barged in, Archibald's anger was ignited. He pointed at William, his expression instantly darkening as he sneered, "William! I didn't expect you to come here yourself."
Thinking about the last incident, Archibald was seething with rage!
He had never been so humiliated!
If it weren't for his family holding him back, he would have sought revenge long ago!
Evander and Keith, upon seeing William, both silently took a few steps back, standing in the corner without saying a word. In such matters, they had a tacit understanding to stay out of it.
"Oh, Archibald, when did you come to Lindwood City? Why didn't you let me know so I could welcome you properly?" William said as he laughed heartily, extended his hand, and walked towards Archibald to give him a friendly hug.
Archibald was bewildered. What was William up to?
He shoved William away, brushing off his expensive suit as he said disdainfully, "Get lost! Do you even know your place?"
In fact, William never regarded Archibald seriously. From the moment he entered, his attention was solely on Larkin.
Both of them were acutely aware of each other’s every move.
Their positions were particularly strategic, with Larkin standing 1.5 feet from Mary, hands at his sides, eyes slightly narrowed, occasionally flashing with sharpness!
William stood half an arm's length from Archibald, smiling, and the moment their eyes met, both understood!
They were equally matched in strength!
Larkin was incredibly shocked. He hadn't expected to find such a skilled young man in Lindwood City!
Larkin didn't make any rash moves, his eyes slightly narrowed as he stared intently at William.
William chuckled, breaking the silence first. "Ms. Smith, what were you discussing? The atmosphere seems a bit off," he said.
Mary was extremely excited as if she were a drowning person grabbing a lifeline. She kept signaling to William with her eyes and coldly said, "The Henderson family wants to acquire BK Pharmaceuticals, and I refused."
William turned his face, smiling at Archibald. "You want to acquire BK Pharmaceuticals?"
Archibald was annoyed by William's face so close to his,and coldly replied, "Yes! Can you make the decision?"
"Yes," William said cheerfully. "Why don't we talk about it?"
Taken aback, Archibald looked at Mary, and with a smile, he asked, "Ms. Smith, what is this?"
Mary crossed her arms, sat on the sofa decisively, and with a cold demeanor, said, "Talk to him about anything. He's my husband and can make decisions for BK Pharmaceuticals."
Archibald sneered and sat down, saying, "Alright, how do you want to talk?"
He wasn't in a hurry. He had come fully prepared this time.
His goal was clear: acquire BK Pharmaceuticals, take Mary, and eliminate William. Three birds with one stone!
William smiled, seeing that Larkin didn't seem to want to make a move, so he sat down, crossed his legs, and said, "Suddenly, I don't feel like talking."
"You're playing me!" Archibald roared.
He immediately flew into a rage, standing up and pointing angrily at William as he shouted, "Do you know the consequences for those who mess with me?
