Chapter 354 Are You Acting
William didn't think much and quickly hailed a cab back to the villa.
After all, Margaret was Mary's mom. It'd be terrible if something really happened to her.
Before he entered Villa No.1, he heard Margaret wailing inside.
"Ah, I can't live like this anymore. I don't want to live."
Margaret was in the living room, making a scene about hanging herself.
Tyler was trying to calm her down but couldn't stop her.
When Margaret went crazy, she was truly uncontrollable.
"What are you doing? Why are you trying to kill yourself?" Tyler said helplessly while glancing towards the door. When he saw William come in, he finally let out a sigh of relief.
"William, , please talk to Margaret. She's determined to kill herself, and I can't stop her," Tyler hurriedly said to William.
William, with his hands in his pockets, immediately saw through their act as soon as he walked in.
He stood at the door, calmly watching Margaret cry and scream. Margaret, while shouting about hanging herself, kept glancing at William.
When William made no move to comfort her, she immediately started crying and rolling on the floor. "Tyler, I'm sorry to you and Mary. I'll just go die, and it'll all be over. Anyway, you don't like me," she cried out.
Then she resolutely climbed onto a chair, put her head through a rope hanging in the living room, and was about to hang herself.
Tyler turned pale with fright. They had agreed to put on a show, but now she was really going through with it.
"Oh my God, William, say something! Are you really going to watch her hang herself in the house?" Tyler asked anxiously, afraid that Margaret might actually hurt herself.
Margaret was holding the rope, glancing at William while crying loudly.
"Ah, I don't want to live anymore. I don't want to live. Let me die," Margaret started wailing.
At this moment, William chuckled lightly, checked the time, and said, "Go ahead. I won't stop you. I'll give you ten minutes, and then I'll call someone to take your body away."
This left both Margaret and Tyler stunned.
Now Margaret was in a dilemma.
In the end, she got down, kicked the chair over, and angrily ran into the bedroom.
What a disgrace.
Tyler blushed, looked at William, and said softly, "William, don't blame her. She knows she was wrong. Please forgive her. She's been reflecting on her actions these past few days."
William sneered and said, "If she truly repents, I can forgive her. But please tell Margaret that if I find out she's up to any tricks again, I'll settle all old and new scores in one go. I can send her to jail!"
With that, William went upstairs, accompanied Sarah for a while, and then took his things and left for the hospital to take care of Mary.
Margaret hid in the bedroom, pressing her ear against the door to listen to the commotion outside.
"What does William mean?" Margaret muttered angrily, feeling very upset but not daring to do anything.
After all, she had made a fool of herself at the hospital that day.
Two days later, in the evening, William unexpectedly received a call from Susan. It was noisy on the other end, and it sounded like Susan was drunk.
Holding a pot of chicken soup, William thought for a moment, delivered the soup to the hospital, said a few words to Mary, and then made an excuse to leave.
When he arrived at the bar, he saw a familiar figure being harassed by a group of men.
"Susan?"
William was shocked. It was indeed Susan, who looked drunk and was surrounded by a bunch of thugs who were getting handy for her.
Susan was clearly quite drunk, barely able to stand, and mumbled, "Get away! Do you know who I am, you scumbags?!"
"Fiery beauty, aren't you? So, who are you?" the leader of the group said, reaching out to touch Susan's face, but she slapped his hand away!
Susan said, "I'm the daughter of the White family. Get away from me! If you don't, I'll call the police and have you all arrested!"
She tried to leave, but the men wouldn't let her go!
She shoved the thug away, shaking off his hand from her waist, and scolded, "If you don't leave, I'll call the police!"
She shouted, almost falling in the process.
The thug, holding Susan's hand, leered at her, saying, "Don't reject me so quickly. I promise I'll make you happy."
He signaled to the other thugs, who understood and grabbed Susan's hands, dragging her outside.
Susan, heavily intoxicated, could barely stand but still managed to shout angrily, "Bastards! Let go of me! I'm calling the police! Help! Help!"
However, as a weak woman, how could she possibly fight off several men?
"Don't worry. We'll take you out for a few more drinks. I know a good place you'll love!"
The thug leader, eyes filled with lust, rubbed his hands together, ready to grab Susan.
But just as he reached out, he was kicked hard from behind, crashing into the bar counter with a scream, his head bleeding profusely.
Holding his head, the thug leader got up from the floor, glaring at William who stood nonchalantly behind him, and roared, "Who the hell are you? Where did you come from, you punk? Do you have a dead wish?"
"I'll give you ten seconds to get out of here!" William snapped.
He was clearly furious, especially seeing them harass Susan, a fire of rage burning in his heart!
After all, she was his ex-fiancée. He couldn't let her be humiliated.
The thug leader, holding a towel to his bleeding head, glared arrogantly at William, and said, "Did I hear that right? You're telling us to leave? Do you even know who I am? Kick his ass. How dare you kick me? You're dead."
With his command, the thugs sneered and surrounded William!
"Still playing hero, huh? You're asking for trouble!" the thugs, exuding a gangster vibe, sneered and charged at William
However, in the next moment, they were all knocked to the ground.
"How... how is this possible?" the thug leader muttered.
He was so scared that he fell to the ground, sweating profusely.
He hadn't even seen how William moved, and his men were already lying on the ground, groaning in pain.
"Don't come any closer!" the thug leader shouted, terrified.
As soon as he met William's gaze, he felt like he were being stared down by a lion.
The overwhelming pressure made it hard for him to breathe!
Swallowing hard, he pointed at William and shouted, "Don't get cocky! My boss is a tough guy, he's been to prison. If you dare hurt me, he won't let you off!"
Saying this, he quickly pulled out his phone and made a call.
Then, he sneered, got up from the ground, and looked at William and Susan arrogantly, saying, "You're dead! My boss is on his way. If you don't want to die, you'd better leave now! Otherwise, when he gets here, you won't be able to leave! You ruined my fun and hurt me and my men. You're dead!"
William ignored him and just sat there, waiting.
Soon, some familiar figures appeared at the bar entrance. These guys were all wearing leather jackets, covered in tattoos, and armed.
