Chapter 339 Struggle
Evander hurriedly arrived at Cloud Peak Manor and met Jessica.
Jessica had a naturally cold and regal demeanor. Holding a Persian cat, she stood there like an iceberg, emanating a frosty presence.
"Madam, something must have happened to Archibald. The Henderson family won't let it go easily. Lindwood City is about to face a disaster. When should we take action?" Evander asked, slightly bowing, looking very respectful.
Jessica stood there, her expression indifferent, and said unhurriedly, "I see. I will contact the Henderson family. Focus on your own tasks."
Evander nodded in understanding, then hesitated briefly before asking, "Madam, there's one thing I don't get it. Who exactly is William? How could he be so audacious, attacking Archibald from the Henderson family and still be alive? Is there something between you and him..."
Jessica's face turned cold. Staring at Evander, she said, "Don't ask what you shouldn't! He's not an ordinary person. Go and prepare. Let's see how he will handle the current trouble."
Evander frowned slightly and slowly exited Cloud Peak Manor.
Back in the car, standing by the car door, Evander looked back at the manor, a hint of ruthlessness flashing in his eyes.
Jessica was too patient. This opportunity was once in a lifetime and couldn't be missed.
Evander got into the car and then dialed a number, coldly commanding, "Get me in touch with the Henderson family quickly. I have something to say."
Meanwhile, just after Evander's car left the manor, Jessica was playing with the Persian cat in her arms when Zoe walked out from behind, coldly saying, "Madam, Evander has privately contacted the Henderson family."
Zoe was very angry. Evander's behavior was a betrayal of Jessica!
He deserved to die!
Jessica, however, was not angry. Instead, she smiled faintly and said, "I saw this coming. He has been subservient to the Miller family for so many years and has long been unable to hold back. He thinks that by aligning with the Henderson family, he can swallow Lindwood City and then break away from the Miller family. How naive."
Jessica bent down slightly, put down the Persian cat, and softly said, "Let him handle it himself. We'll just wait and see."
"Yes," Zoe replied.
Meanwhile, the Henderson family estate was heavily guarded by stern bodyguards in black suits, positioned at regular intervals, each equipped with a special black umbrella.
The atmosphere in the expansive hall of the Henderson family estate was suffocating, with a pervasive chill that sent shivers down one's spine.
In the main hall, a middle-aged man with a flushed face, about forty or fifty years old, with thick eyebrows, a high nose bridge, and slightly graying temples, sat high on a chair in a black suit.
He was Aloysius Henderson, the current head of the Henderson family and the most prestigious person in the family!
He was a man of commanding presence, with the ability to lead and control thousands of troops. His life had been dedicated to the art of warfare and combat.
However, now, he was furious. He slammed the table, causing the cup on the table to jump, spilling water all over.
Aloysius, eyes full of anger, shouted sternly at the butler below, "Arrogant! Who dares to bully a descendant of our family! Investigate! Investigate thoroughly! Whoever it is, find them and bring them here! I'd like to see who dares to oppose us!"
The butler was drenched in cold sweat, feeling Aloysius's anger for the first time!
No, it was the second time!
The last time was eight years ago.
Back then, Aloysius had not yet assumed the role of family head. It was his father, Tavish Henderson, who held the position and oversaw all family matters at the time.
However, due to an incident eight years ago, Tavish was directly suppressed and then announced his resignation as the head of the family, retreating to a small villa in the suburbs.
He had not been involved in Henderson family affairs for eight years.
That time, Aloysius was angry because of Thurlow, who had provoked someone he shouldn't have. However, he was helpless.
It was also a calamity for the Henderson family.
This time, it was because of Archibald, who had his genitals mutilated.
"Sir, the people we sent were all beaten back. The assassins sent by Larkin also failed," the butler said, his body trembling slightly.
"Useless! All of you are useless! You can't handle a small Lindwood City. Do I have to personally lead people to Lindwood City?" Aloysius roared in anger. Standing up from his chair, he pointed at the butler below, shouting loudly!
If he personally leads the team, it would be a different matter altogether.
By then, his people would march into Lindwood City in large numbers!
Aloysius commanded, "Tell Larkin that if he can't bring the person back, he should never return to the Henderson family!"
In a fit of rage, he waved his sleeve dismissively.
The butler quickly wiped the cold sweat from his forehead and nodded in agreement. "Yes, sir."
With that, he retreated.
Aloysius's aura was terrifying, especially the kind of murderous intent that came from years on the battlefield, making him shudder!
"Wait!" Aloysius stood high in the hall, hands behind his back, his eyes glaring, and said coldly, "Get me in touch with the Eagle family in Lindwood City immediately!"
Shortly after, the butler handed over a phone.
Aloysius took the call, and a cheerful and flattering voice came from the other end, "Aloysius, what brings you to call me personally?"
"Thelonius Eagle! My son was crippled in your territory. Don't tell me you don't know about this!" Aloysius said sternly, his face full of coldness.
"Aloysius, so it's about that. Don't worry. I'll give you an explanation." The voice on the other end remained calm and unhurried.
"Don't give me that crap! Thelonius, I want the person tonight. I don't care what method you use. If you can't catch them, I'll personally lead people to Lindwood City. Don't say I didn't give you face then!" Aloysius said furiously.
The other end was silent for a moment before saying, "Aloysius, give me half an hour."
"Fine, I'll give you half an hour!" Aloysius said.
The call ended.
Meanwhile, several black Mercedes cars were parked at the entrance of the most luxurious mansion in the eastern part of Lindwood City.
In the living room of the mansion, a middle-aged man in his forties or fifties was standing respectfully by the sofa, bowing his head, looking very humble.
If outsiders saw this scene, they would be very shocked!
If this got out, it would cause a stir in all of Lindwood City.
This was the chairman of the Eagle Group, the core and head of the Eagle family, Thelonius Eagle!
He was a remarkable man who took over the Eagle Group from his father, leading it for forty years to become the top family in Lindwood City!
In Lindwood City, Alan might be considered the underground king and George the richest man.
But Thelonius was a combination of both!
Such a person had great influence, not only in Lindwood City but also in neighboring cities, where the Eagle Group had branches and subsidiaries!
Yet, in this situation, Thelonius was very respectful and reverent towards a young man sitting on the sofa.
"Mr. Jones, the Henderson family is preparing to take action against you," Thelonius said respectfully with his head bowed.
As he spoke, he glanced at Alan standing nearby.
William sat calmly on the sofa, smiling. "I knew they wouldn't let it go. Archibald was bait, and they took it too quickly."
Thelonius continued to ask, "Mr. Jones, what do you plan to do next? The Henderson family is waiting for my response."
Why could the Eagle family remain unshaken?
Because the true owner behind it was William!
Thelonius had deep respect and admiration for William.
Without William, there would be no Eagle Group. Years ago, it faced internal problems and was on the brink of bankruptcy.
But at that time, William, still in college, directly approached Thelonius and supported him with a $30 billion investment!
The condition was that from then on, the Eagle family in Lindwood City would belong to William.
This secret was known only to Thelonius within the entire Eagle family!
Thelonius didn't know much about William, but the more he learned, the more he was in awe!
This was a hidden move by William, not to be used unless absolutely necessary.
But now, with the Henderson family coming to them, William wouldn't refuse.
"Tell the Henderson family to get lost. I will personally visit them!" William said coldly, then got up and left The Eagle Manor, heading straight for Imperial City
The Henderson family, and the so-called assassin organization, here came William!
