Bennett hesitated for a moment before saying, "Ms. Smith, this is my investment and has nothing to do with Mr. Jones."

"Thank you for your trust in me. I will definitely not let you down," Mary said firmly.
She quickly signed the contract and then left with the contract joyfully.
And Mary spotted William waiting by the roadside as she descended the stairs.
"What happened?" William asked with concern.
He looked at Mary's lost expression, thinking Bennett hadn't given the investment.
Mary paused, then dashed over, her appearance that of a vibrant college student, and embraced William warmly.
"Signed, signed, William, a three-billion-dollar investment, signed!"
Mary was so excited, and she was like a young girl.

"Alright, let's meet at the Mexican restaurant on the corner in a bit," Leah said.
With that, she hung up the phone and gave Keith an OK gesture.
Keith's face lit up with a smile. He wrapped his arm around Leah's slim waist, gave her a big kiss on the cheek, and pinched her, saying, "Sweetheart, well done."
"Oh, stop it. We're in public," Leah said.
Her coy demeanor was irresistible to any man.
Meanwhile, William had just left BK Pharmaceuticals and received a call from Nicholas as he stepped out of the building.
"Uncle Nicholas, what's up?" William asked.
"William, I'm sorry. I couldn't stop the family ban. But don't worry. I've already taken out several of Jessica's underground forces! That damn woman, playing tricks on me!" Nicholas said through gritted teeth on the other end of the line.
William was surprised by Nicholas's fierce temper, which had led him to eliminate several of Jessica's secret operatives.
"Uncle Nicholas, it's okay. It's just a ban, and it won't stop me," William said with a smile.
Nicholas, full of worry, said, "This time, it's not just Jessica working behind the scenes. Those old fools from the branch families are involved too. They're so senile but ambitious, daring to target you. Don't worry. I've returned to the island. This time, I'll teach them a good lesson."
William was also helpless. No one could stop Nicholas.

Meanwhile, in the board office, Brenda knocked and walked in, saying, "Ms. Smith, there's a man named Jeffery Gray who would like to meet you at the restaurant after work."
Mary was stunned. Jeffery?
She hadn't heard from him in a long time. Wasn't he supposed to be abroad?
And he wanted a private meeting?
Mary said, "Tell him I don't have time. If he wants to meet, it has to be at the coffee shop downstairs."
Brenda nodded and left. Within minutes, she came back and said, "Ms. Smith, Jeffery is already at the coffee shop."
Mary responded and then left the company, heading to the coffee shop on the first floor. In a booth, she saw Jeffery, whom she hadn't seen in a long time.
He seemed even more spirited.
"Mary, you're here," Jeffery greeted.
He couldn't contain his joy when he saw Mary. He stood up and pulled out a chair for her in a very gentlemanly manner.
"Jeffery, why did you suddenly want to see me? Where have you been these past two months?" Mary asked out of courtesy as a friend.
"I was abroad on business," Jeffery said, concealing the truth. Then he got straight to the point, "Mary, I heard your company is facing difficulties and needs investment, right?"
Jeffery was eager to show off his financial power and connections in front of Mary.
Mary was taken aback and said with a smile, "Jeffery, the problem has been solved. William helped me."
William?
Jeffery was stunned, then relieved, saying, "William? As far as I know, he shouldn't be able to help you."
Mary smiled and said, "Jeffery, actually, William he..."
"Mary."
Suddenly, Jeffery interrupted Mary and asked, "Do you know William's true identity?"
Mary was stunned, looking at Jeffery in confusion. Did Jeffery know William's true identity?
