Chapter 280 Family Ban

In the CEO's office of the Jones Group branch, William stood with his hands behind his back, gazing out the floor-to-ceiling window at the sunset, the crimson sky, and the bustling streets below.

Dylan stood respectfully behind William.

"The Cater family wants to pull their investment from BK Pharmaceuticals. Reach out to our family’s pharmaceutical sales companies to fill the gap," William said coolly, his eyes flashing with a hint of frost.

Dylan looked troubled and said, "Mr. Jones, that might be difficult."

"Difficult?" William turned, his face cold as he stared at Dylan.

Dylan broke into a sweat, bowed low, and said, "Mr. Jones, you can’t use any family assets right now. Mrs. Jones has imposed a family ban on you, just an hour ago. Even the billion dollars you wanted to invest in BK Pharmaceuticals has been frozen."

Family ban?

William's brows furrowed deeply, and his face darkened.

At that moment, the office door swung open.

Jessica, dressed in a white gown and adorned with gold and silver, walked in gracefully, followed by eight bodyguards. Her appearance was suffused with an aura of nobility, her demeanor elegant, and her makeup impeccable.

"Mrs. Jones," Dylan greeted respectfully, stepping aside.

William's cold eyes fixed on Jessica as she removed her sunglasses. Her assistant, Zoe, handed over a document bearing the family seal of Skyheart Island and Mario's signature.

"William, from now on, you are suspended from all business related to the Jones family. This is the family’s ban on you. You can no longer access any of the Jones family’s resources, assets, or connections," Jessica said icily, a faint smile on her lips.

William's brows knitted tightly as he quickly scanned the gold-embossed paper. It was indeed his father Mario's signature.

How could this be?

Puzzled, William glared coldly at Jessica and questioned, "What did you do to my dad?"

Jessica chuckled. "William, seven years ago, I could kick you out of the Jones family. I still can. Our battle has just begun."

William sneered, crumpling the paper in his hand. "Jessica, if you think this will bring me down, you’re underestimating me. In seven years, I’ve prepared for this. Even without the Jones family, neither you nor the Miller family can defeat me. If you want a fight, let’s see who wins in the end!"

William stepped forward, eyes blazing with anger.

Jessica raised an eyebrow, unfazed. "Fine, let’s see. My first target is BK Pharmaceuticals. Mary."

She then turned and left with her entourage, not lingering for a moment.

The atmosphere in the office was stifling.

William stared at the crumpled paper in his hand, his brows furrowed.

'Damn Jessica, using this tactic. What happened to my father? Why issue a family ban?' William pondered.

"Mr. Jones, are you okay?" Dylan asked cautiously.

William shot him a cold glance and strode out of the office.

On the way, he called George. The anxious voice on the other end said, "Mr. Jones, there's trouble. The family has issued a ban on you. Half an hour ago, all Jones family assets and resources were cut off from your access. What should we do now?"

William replied calmly, "I already know. Don't worry. I anticipated Jessica would pull this stunt seven years ago. I need you to go abroad to Unityland and find a man named Ambrose Campbell. Tell him the time has come."

"Got it, I'll leave right away," George responded respectfully and booked a flight immediately.

As soon as William hung up, Mary called, her voice trembling as she said, "William, come back to the villa quickly. Something's happened at home."

"Hold on, I'm on my way!" William heard the chaos in the background and rushed back to the villa.

The moment he stepped inside, he saw a dozen black-suited bodyguards ransacking the place, throwing everything out onto the lawn.

"William!" Mary ran over to him, panicked.

Margaret and Tyler were earnestly endeavoring to impede the bodyguards, yet they proved to be no contendors.

"What's going on?" William asked, grabbing Mary.

With teary eyes, Mary said, "They said this villa doesn't belong to us anymore and are kicking us out."

William frowned. This had Jessica written all over it. The villa was bought with family assets, so technically, Jessica had the right to reclaim it. But this was just her way of messing with him.

"Stop it! This is my home! You can't just throw our stuff out! This is robbery! I'm calling the police!" Margaret shouted, trying to pull the bodyguards away.

However, they ignored her and pushed her to the ground.

"Help! Robbery! Is there no justice?" Margaret wailed, sitting on the ground and crying hysterically.

When she saw William, she lost composure, ran over, and slapped him hard. "This is all your fault, you useless man! If it weren't for you, we wouldn't be kicked out! What trouble have you caused?" she scolded.

William was stunned, thinking, 'How could Margaret be so unreasonable?'

"Mom, what are you doing? Why are you hitting William? You were fine living here before, and now you blame him. How can you be so unreasonable and unfair!" Mary snapped, disappointed in Margaret.

Margaret, furious and with nowhere to vent, pointed at Mary and yelled, "Mary, don't side with him! We lived here because he owed us. Now we're homeless because of him! This is my home! It's all his fault for causing trouble. I'll kill him!"

As she spoke, she raised her hand to slap William again, but this time, she missed.

William grabbed Margaret's wrist hard, his eyes cold as ice as he said, "Enough! Margaret, I'm warning you. Keep this up, and I swear I'll end you!"

Margaret recoiled, intimidated by his tone and murderous gaze. But she still braced herself and scolded, "Why are you yelling at me? If you're so tough, go yell at them! They kicked us out! You're just a coward who only bullies us."

William, frustrated, glared at her and then shoved her aside. He turned to the bodyguards and shouted, "Stop!"

Suddenly, Mary noticed one of the bodyguards holding her wedding photo. He tossed it to the ground and shattered it.

Mary rushed over and knelt on the grass, tears welling up as she looked at the broken picture. The bodyguard pushed her roughly, slicing her palm on shattered glass and staining the photo with blood.

Seeing this, William was furious. "I said, stop!!!" he roared angrily, charging forward and kicking the bodyguard, sending him crashing into a pillar with a grunt.

The other bodyguards froze and glared at William. Margaret, terrified, had already pulled Tyler aside, cursing William for always causing trouble.

"Mrs. Jones has ordered that you no longer have any control over the Jones family assets. Please leave with them now," the lead bodyguard said respectfully to William.

But William just sneered coldly. "Let's see who dares to throw me out today!"
