Chapter 299 Margaret Is Done For
This punch came out of nowhere.
Jeffery was caught off guard, and his nose started bleeding.
Mary, watching from the side, was directly scared and quickly got up to pull William, anxiously saying, "William, what are you doing?"
William turned around and angrily shouted at Mary, "Who told you to be with him?"
This might be the first time William lost his temper with Mary in a long while.
Mary was frightened. She knew there were many misunderstandings between William and Jeffery.
But hitting someone like this wasn't right.
"I was just worried about you and wanted Jeffery to give me some advice on how to get you out," Mary mumbled with her head down, afraid that William would be even harsher with her.
Although Mary had seen William's prowess, this was a critical time. Wasn't William's family cutting off his finances?
This matter involved those people and was beyond the solution of money.
William directly grabbed Mary and turned to leave.
Jeffery, holding a tissue to his nose, mumbled, "William, I'll remember this punch. Don't think that just because you're the young master of the Jones Group in New York, I'll be afraid of you. You're in trouble yourself now, and protecting Mary and Sarah is even more impossible!" Jeffery said coldly as he had figured it all out.
William had already been banned by the Jones Group in New York, making him a penniless and powerless waste.
Seeing William still dared to be so arrogant, Jeffery was very displeased.
"Jeffery, I have to say, you have some skills now, but in my eyes, you're still an ant! If you don't believe me, feel free to try," William said coldly, his words filled with a chilling tone.
The Jones Group in New York, including the Jones family in New York, were puppets created by his father, Mario, to cover the eyes of the world and hide the true identity of the Jones family.
Everyone knew about the Jones Group in New York, but they didn't know that the power behind it came from the Jones family on Skyheart Island.
Only those who were truly close to the core interests or big families would know about the Jones family on Skyheart Island.
So, William knew very well that Jeffery was fearless because the people behind him didn't take the Jones Group in New York seriously.
All over the country, there were only a few who didn't take the Jones Group in New York seriously.
Jeffery sneered, wiped the blood from his hand, and looked at Mary, saying, "Mary, I hope you think it over. William is a loser now. He can't support you and Sarah."
Mary frowned, glanced at Jeffery, and coldly said, "Jeffery, I appreciate your help in the past, but I only love William. Thank you for your kindness."
Mary then pulled William and left.
Watching them leave, Jeffery was very displeased and angrily smashed the restaurant's tableware.
A waitress came over and said unceremoniously, "Sir, this tableware costs eight hundred dollars."
"Get lost!" Jeffery roared and slapped the waitress across the face.
The waitress covered her face, very scared, and as she turned to leave, she bumped into a bewitching woman in a red lace short dress who walked with extreme allure and exuded a captivating charm.
Savannah gently waved the folding fan in her hand and said, "Did things go wrong?"
Her voice was soft and gentle, and her eyes were full of seduction.
The woman's presence filled the restaurant with an unique aroma, rendering everyone light-hearted and at ease.
"So, are you going to tell the master?" Jeffery said, his face cold.
Savannah chuckled lightly and said, "No, I just want to remind you of something. If you want to deal with William, perhaps you can start with his daughter."
Jeffery frowned and turned to look at Savannah in front of him.
She was indeed a ruthless character.
As long as she could achieve her goal, she wouldn't care about anything else.
"Unless absolutely necessary, I won't use Sarah to threaten William," Jeffery said, then warned Savannah, "If I find out you dare to use Sarah, I won't let you off first!"
With that, Jeffery waved his hand and stormed off the restaurant in a huff.
Watching Jeffery's back, Savannah's smile gradually faded, and she said, "Such mercy."
Meanwhile, inside Villa No.1, Lucy had already brought Sarah back to the villa.
During the day, she took Sarah to buy a lot of supplies, got a lot of medicine, and even took her to play nearby.
After a full day of play, Sarah, who hadn't played in a while, felt quite tired.
After settling Sarah in, Lucy came downstairs from the second floor and bumped into Margaret, who had just come home.
"What are you doing in my house?" Margaret questioned irritably.
The moment she saw Lucy, she was furious and stared at Lucy.
Seeing Margaret, Lucy also got angry, but since she was in Margaret's house, she could only reply politely, "William asked me to come over to take care of Sarah."
Sarah?
Margaret's anger flared up even more upon hearing this. Sarah had been brought back?
That was unacceptable.
Margaret rudely pointed to the door and shouted, "I don't care who brought you here. Get out of my house now. I don't like you."
Lucy was familiar with Margaret's unreasonable behavior and refrained from arguing. She gathered her belongings and was set to return to her room as William had arranged a bedroom for her.
"What are you doing? Are you planning to stay in my house?" Margaret yelled.
Seeing Lucy preparing to go back to her room, Margaret got even angrier. She rushed forward, grabbed Lucy, and started cursing, "What right do you have to stay in our house? William brought you back here to have an affair with you right under my nose, didn't he?"
"Impossible!" Margaret shouted loudly.
Lucy was very angry. Margaret's insults were too vicious, and she was directly insulting William.
William had helped her so much, even helping her brother.
Lucy couldn't tolerate it!
"I didn't! There's nothing between William and me. Don't say such things!" Lucy defended herself, her eyes turning red.
She was just a young girl and couldn't withstand such harsh insults from someone as mean as Margaret.
Margaret slapped Lucy across the face and angrily cursed, "You bitch, how dare you talk back to me? Who do you think you are? Get out of my house, right now!"
Lucy, who had been slapped for no reason, covered her burning red cheek and said angrily, "I'm not leaving! William asked me to come. If anyone is going to make me leave, it should be him."
Margaret sneered and slapped her again, grabbing Lucy's hair and pulling while cursing, "William is my son-in-law, and he has to listen to me! Besides, this villa has my name on it. If I tell you to leave, you have to leave!"
After a round of beating and cursing, Lucy stood in the corner, ears streaming down her face.
But she had to endure it because she still had to take care of Sarah to repay William's kindness.
Margaret sat comfortably on the sofa, sneering. "What are you standing there for? If you want to stay, you have to listen to me. Get me a glass of water. I'm dying of thirst," Margaret ordered imperiously.
Lucy wiped away her tears, poured a glass of water, and handed it to Margaret.
Margaret glanced at the aggrieved Lucy, sneered inwardly, took a sip, and then splashed the water on her.
Lucy screamed as the hot water scalded her.
"So hot! Are you trying to burn me to death?" Margaret cursed angrily.
Lucy rushed to the bathroom, stripped, and noticed her hands and chest were red from the burn.
She sat on the bathroom floor, hugging her knees and sobbing.
After a while, she wiped away her tears, walked out of the bathroom, glanced at Margaret watching TV on the sofa, and went straight upstairs.
Upon entering Sarah's room, Lucy felt much calmer.
Sarah had been woken up by the argument downstairs. Seeing Lucy's red eyes, she asked in her sweet, childlike voice, "Lucy, who bullied you?"
Lucy squatted down, patted Sarah's head, and smiled, saying, "It's nothing. I accidentally burned myself with water."
Sarah immediately grabbed Lucy's scalded hand, blew on it, and said, "I'll blow on it for you. Daddy taught me that you also need to apply medicine."
Then, Sarah hurried downstairs. Seeing Margaret, she mustered up her courage and asked, "Grandma, do we have any medicine? Lucy got burned."
Margaret turned her head, her face full of resentment as she stared at Sarah, scaring her into taking several steps back.
"No, I hope she burns to death!" Margaret cursed angrily.
"Grandma, it's wrong to curse people. Daddy taught me that we should be polite and not curse others," Sarah said seriously, holding her little head high.
Seeing this, Margaret grew even angrier. She stood up, pointed at Sarah, and cursed, "Are you lecturing me now? Do you want to get hit?"
Margaret raised her hand to slap Sarah.
Just then, William and Mary walked to the villa's entrance, witnessing the scene.
Instantly, a surge of anger engulfed William!
