Chapter 45 William Is really Awesome.

To answer or not to answer?
William was flustered and quickly called over Melissa, explaining the situation in a hurry. "Stall for time."
Melissa nodded, flashed an OK sign, and elegantly answered the call,  "Hello, who is this?"
On the other end, Mary was obviously startled; She hadn't expected a woman to answer.
What a pleasant voice it was.
But at the same time, she felt a sense of relief—it wasn't him.
Was she overthinking it?
Right, it made sense.
She knew what kind of person William was.
It was ridiculous to harbor such fantasies.
"Hello, Miss. Jones. This is Mary. You might not know me, but thanks to you at the Star Club that day, I was able to come out unscathed." Mary had prepared a heap of grateful words.
"It's nothing, just lending a hand. As a woman, what I can't stand the most is men doing dirty things, forcing women against their will." Melissa said, her words laced with finesse.
As she spoke, she glanced over at William, who was giving her a thumbs-up.
Why was this guy hiding things from his wife?
"Miss. Jones, do you have time? I'd like to treat you to a meal." Mary asked tentatively, quickly adding. "Don't worry, it's purely out of gratitude."
Melissa didn't reply immediately but looked towards William, her lips moving silently, whispering, "She wants to invite you to dinner, yes or no?"
William immediately shook his head.
Following suit, Melissa cheerfully responded, "Sure, I've been quite busy lately, I'll contact you when I am free."
In fact, Melissa hadn't thought too deeply about it.
She assumed that William and Mary had had a fight and were in a cold war period.
So, she wanted to mediate.
"Really? That's wonderful." Mary sounded very happy.
"I've got to go, hanging up now." Melissa quickly ended the call, turning to William with a grin. "How do I do?"
William's face fell at that moment. Melissa was too presumptuous.
But he couldn't blame her. He could only helplessly shake his head and sigh. "Let it be. But, next time don't make decisions for me. My identity can't be revealed yet, including to Mary."
Melissa was startled, suddenly flustered, bending over to apologize. "William, I just thought you and Mary had a quarrel."
Seeing Melissa's pitiful look, her eyes brimming with tears.
William couldn't bring himself to blame her, and he just smiled. "Alright, let it not happen again."
Afterward, they turned and entered the Victory Grand Hotel.
Tonight, William decided to treat the entire company's staff to dinner, as a reward for their hard work.
Once everyone had arrived, William raised his glass to propose a toast.
Everyone was curious about William suddenly becoming rich.
"Don't look at me like that, I'm just an ordinary person. As for the money, it was left by my dad. Other than becoming rich now, I'm still the same William, and you all are still my friends." William said with a smile.
"William, becoming rich and then spending ten million to buy our company, I've never seen you spend money like this."
"Exactly, but honestly, William, you're really good at hiding. Aren't you that hidden rich second-generation from the novels?"
The old colleagues joked, and their words now filled with flattery.
There is no way but to rise like a dragon and be revered by the masses.
Although many were frustrated inside, wondering why a loser like William could become so rich and why not them?
But, that was reality.
Now, other than flattering him, they really had no other option.
Before, when William had no money, they spoke very casually. Now it was different, with more respect and flattery.
William understood, saying earnestly. "Enough with the flattery. Don't you know what kind of person I am? Except for Kevin, who targeted me before, everyone has been nice to me, and I remember that. It has nothing to do with whether I'm rich or not. Just one thing, if I have today, of course, I won't forget you, and I won't let you down."
"Today, besides treating you to this meal, I've also got a small gift for everyone."
William snapped his fingers.
Immediately, ten tall waitresses in dresses filed into the private room.
Each held a beautifully crafted BMW box in their hands.
Upon opening the boxes, a set of BMW car keys came into view.
At that moment, everyone was dumbfounded!
"Holy shit! What's this? BMW. car keys? There must be a hundred here? William, what are you doing? You haven't switched to making keys, have you?"
In their minds, even if William was a tycoon, he wouldn't buy a hundred BMWs.
Even now that he had spent ten million to buy the company, becoming the new Boss.
That still wouldn't justify it.
But suddenly!
Someone in the crowd took a sharp breath and exclaimed. "My God! Do you forget about those BMW motorcycles we saw in the parking lot when we come in?"
At that moment, everyone gasped in shock!
Right!
The parking lot was filled with a hundred BMW motorcycles.
They had just been intensely discussing which tycoon was throwing a motorcycle party.
Could it be that the bikes below were all bought by William?
This was simply unbelievable!
"You're not mistaken. Those one hundred motorcycles below are all mine." William confirmed with a casual smile.
Everyone was stunned!
"William, are you serious?" Many were completely taken aback.
"What's the big deal? It's just a little gift for you all. Besides, we deliver food, don't we need to be fast? Now these bikes, they're absolutely lightning-fast!" William said.
Many were wide-eyed, looking at each other in disbelief.
"William, you mean we're going to use these BMW motorcycles to deliver food?" someone asked, trembling.
"Of course." William said. "From now on, our company will offer the best service in the industry, we must improve efficiency. My goal is grand, to become Lindwood City's number one delivery company, and then expand nationwide! Melissa, do you have the confidence?"
Melissa was taken aback, quickly stood up, and said solemnly. "William, rest assured, I will work hard!"
Everyone raised their glasses, making promises to work hard and strive.
"Sir, your dishes."
The previous waitress walked in, intending to ask William about serving the food, but her gaze fell on the keys on the table, and she was so shocked she didn't know what to say.
"Now you can serve the food about that 1982 Lafite I mentioned earlier, bring another two cases, three bottles for each table."
"Sure thing, sir."
Even as she left, the waitress's eyes lingered on the table.
It couldn't be helped. The scene was just too astonishing.
A whole table of dishes was served, bird's nest soup, French foie gras, black truffles, puffer fish roe, shocking the company's colleagues once again. This was too luxurious, even Melissa had never experienced such a lavish feast.
"Let's drink to our hearts' content today. The first toast, to fate, because we're all able to gather here together."
With that, William lifted his glass and downed it in one go.
William's alcohol tolerance wasn't great, but not too bad either.
Mainly because his status now was too high, making others look up to him.
But even with such status, William didn't put on airs.
However, to show their gratitude to William, everyone raised their glasses in turn to toast him.
Seeing the situation, William knew he couldn't escape today, so he simply sipped a little.
When it was time to pay the bill, the waitress brought over a million-dollar bill.
William wasn’t hesitant before swiping his card to pay.
After the meal, William had Melissa arrange for designated drivers to drive the cars to the company, offering a two-hundred dollar tip for each.
Standing up, William said with a smile. "Let's continue drinking in the second half! To Mix Bar, let's keep drinking!"
"William is so generous!"
"William has style!"
"I've always wanted to go to Mix Bar, but never had the money. The girls there are all so hot!"
The waitresses in the private room listened with envy. Where could they find such a great boss?
"William, don't you want to go check on Sarah first?" Seeing William stand up a bit wobbly, Melissa asked with some concern.
"It's fine, after we finish drinking today, I'll give you all a two-day paid leave." William declared with a wave of his hand.
So extravagant!
Paid leave!
Was this money blown in by the wind?
Sorry, it really was blown in by the wind.
Their battlefield here had ended. William and his group began to move to the next venue.
But just as they stepped out the door, they heard a voice tinged with confusion and teasing.
"William?"
