Chapter 224 Margaret Got Beaten Up!

Looking into Mary's puzzled eyes, William thought for a moment and said, "Mary, Samuel actually knows Jessica. He's just being polite to me because of her."

"Jessica?" Mary repeated. She was taken aback and suddenly remembered that William's stepmother seemed to be a very formidable woman.

She nodded, which indicated no suspicion, and said, "No wonder, I thought you were..."

"Were what?" William asked, suddenly becoming nervous.

Could Mary have known something?

"No, it's nothing. Just go to bed. There's a lot to do at the company tomorrow,"Mary said while she smiled and didn't think too deeply about it.

A few days later, Margaret had almost recovered and started causing trouble in the villa.

Tyler got a headache seeing her mumbling all day about the villa's name.

"Margaret, can you stop thinking about those things all the time? Living here peacefully as a family isn't good enough for you? Do you have to stir up trouble to be happy?" Tyler remarked helplessly, watching Margaret consult a lawyer, and felt that this family would eventually be torn apart by her.

Margaret hung up the phone, glared at Tyler, and scolded, "What do you know? All you do is to hang out with your friends. Have you ever cared about anything at home?"

She continued, "This villa was bought by Mary. Why should it be in that useless guy's name? I don't agree! William's name must be replaced with mine. That way, William can't be arrogant in front of me."

Arrogant?

How could a useless guy like William be arrogant in front of her?

To let William sleep in the master bedroom instead of her was such a waste.

Tyler sighed, put down the newspaper, and said, "Stop for a moment. Let me talk to you."

"Talk about what? You want to speak up for William again?" Margaret glared discontentedly and continued to scold, "Tyler, don't think I don't know what you're up to. You know that William is close with that Samuel, why are you trying to curry favor with him?"

She added, "I've inquired, no one in their real estate firm knows William, and they don't know what's up with Samuel being so deferential to William. I think that Samuel is just as much of an idiot as you are."

"Maybe you two have been fooled by William and don't even know it," Margaret rambled on, and Tyler couldn't bear it anymore.

He got up angrily and shouted, "You're really blind! Just keep making trouble, and when you tear this family apart, let's see what you'll do then!"

"Tyler! Are you crazy? Why are you yelling at me?!" Margaret yelled as she stood up angrily, pointing at Tyler.

Margaret scolded him, "Now you even dare to yell at me! Who gave you the guts. I'll scratch you to death!" And then she directly started scratching and clawing at him.

Tyler ran out of the villa, cursing angrily.

Margaret dressed up a bit, grabbed her bag, and went out.

She had an appointment with a lawyer to ask about the property name change and the distribution of pre-marital and post-marital assets.

Margaret was heading to the agreed restaurant.

On the way, she called Isaac, who she had been calling for days, but no one answered.

Margaret heard the news that the Hayes family had moved from Lindwood City, and even Isaac's company had moved as well.

How could Margaret not be anxious?

He was her ideal son-in-law.

She asked, "Hey, we're going to the restaurant. Where are you driving?"

Margaret looked out the car window, the route was wrong, where was this going?

This was heading to the outskirts.

"Do you know the way or not? If you don't, I'll get out," Margaret scolded harshly, "You're an idiot. Don't even know the way and still dare to drive a cab. Are you trying to extort me? I'm not a tourist, I'll make a complaint about you later!"

Margaret cursed in the back seat.

At this moment, she noticed that the driver was wearing a mask and a hat to cover his entire face.

Margaret thought, 'Could this man be a robber?'

Margaret panicked, desperately pounding on the car door, shouting, "I want to get out! Let me get out! Stop the car, or I'll call the police!"

The driver suddenly made a sharp turn, the car swerved, and Margaret's head hit the car door, making her dizzy and unconscious.

When Margaret woke up again, she found herself in an abandoned repair shop, her hands and feet tied to a wooden chair, and her mouth taped with green duct tape.

Margaret, now disheveled and terrified, kept whimpering.

After a long time, someone finally walked in from the door, holding a baseball bat, wearing a hat and a mask.

As they approached, the person viciously tore off the tape from Margaret's mouth!

Margaret's lips were torn, and blood flowed!

"Ah! Help, help!" Margaret gasped and screamed desperately.

But no one responded.

The driver coldly watched the extremely terrified Margaret and said in a deep voice, "Shut up. This place is over twenty miles from the city, and there's only this abandoned repair shop nearby. No one will come to save you."

Margaret was terrified upon hearing this and continued to scream desperately.

The driver said impatiently, "Shut up!"

The driver suddenly lost his temper, raised the baseball bat in his hand, and struck Margaret on the head!

Margaret's head buzzed, and she collapsed to the ground, blood gushing from her head, creating a gruesome scene.

After a long time, when Margaret woke up again, she felt weak all over, her head hurt, and half of her face was sticky with blood.

She weakly cried out, "Help. Don't kill me. I have money. My daughter has money. How much do you want? I'll give it to you. Just don't kill me."

Margaret lay on the ground, begging.

Could this man be a kidnapper?

The driver, now threw away his sandwich and walked over with the baseball bat in hand.

The scraping sound of the bat on the ground rattled Margaret's nerves.

Margaret shouted, "Don't kill me. I'll give you money. I'll give you money."

But when she saw the figure approaching, she was struck as if by lightning, frozen in place.

"How could it be you?" Margaret cried out in terror.

The driver, dressed in black tight-fitting clothes, coldly took off his hat and let out a sinister laugh. He greeted, "Margaret, it's been a while. So you still remember me."

Margaret demanded, "Isaac, did you make a mistake? I asked you to teach William a lesson. Let me go, my head hurts so much. Take me to the hospital."

Margaret cried out, genuinely terrified.

Isaac was just two steps away, squatting down. His face was so thin it was unrecognizable, with deep-set eyes and heavy dark circles, looking like a ghost.

"Shut up." Isaac said as he put a finger to his dry lips and cruelly smiled, "Aunt Margaret, I didn't make a mistake."

What?

Margaret panicked even more, crying and begging, "Isaac, what did I do wrong?"

Isaac coldly laughed and slapped Margaret several times, knocking out a few of her teeth, and said angrily, "You don't know what you did wrong? Do you know that because of you, I ended up like this Because of you, my family went bankrupt, and my uncle got arrested. It's all over. Everything is over, All because of your false information!"

Isaac almost screamed in rage, scaring Margaret and making her tremble all over.

She whimpered, "I don't know what you're talking about, Isaac. If it's really my fault, I apologize. Please let me go."

"Let you go?" Isaac's eyes widened in disbelief, staring coldly at Margaret. He grabbed her hair viciously and said, "Then who would let my family go?"

Margaret was completely confused.

Isaac was terrifying.

How could he be her son-in-law?

She said desperately, "Isaac, Isaac, you must be mistaken. I really don't know." Margaret was terrified, trembling all over.

Isaac said furiously, "Don't know? I'll beat it into you!"

Isaac roared, stood up, and kicked Margaret in the abdomen several times, then picked up the baseball bat and beat her for a full twenty minutes.

It wasn't until Margaret lay on the ground, barely alive, that Isaac stopped.

She begged, "Isaac, stop. I'm sorry, please. Help me." Margaret was in pain all over, feeling like her body was falling apart.

It hurt so much.

She felt like she was dying.

Isaac scoffed, "Help you? Fine, give me something in exchange, and I won't kill you."

Isaac coldly looked at the battered Margaret on the ground.

Margaret, like a dying dog seeing a glimmer of hope, crawled up on her knees, clinging to Isaac's legs, and begged, "Okay, I'll do anything. just let me go."

Then, Isaac took the injured Margaret to an upscale residential area.

Margaret walked with a limp, wearing a hat and mask, and led Isaac into the villa.

In the luxurious Villa No.1, Isaac's hatred for William reached its peak! He vowed to himself, 'Damn William, today I will have my revenge for my family! I will kill Mary in front of you, then kill you. Then, I'll escape. Lindwood City, I, Isaac, will never come back.'

"Call Mary and tell her to come back!" Isaac sat on the sofa, throwing grapes in his mouth, and coldly ordered.

Margaret, now utterly submissive, shrank into a corner, trembling as she took out her phone and dialed Mary's number, then said, "Mary, can you come back now? My head hurts a lot. Maybe there's something wrong because of the car accident."

Mary was at the company, and upon receiving the call and hearing Margaret's weak voice, she became anxious and said, "Okay, Mom, wait for me. I'll be right back."

"Okay," Margaret responded, and then quickly added, "By the way, come back alone. Don't bring William."
