Chapter 212 Who is the Homeowner

William turned around, looked at everyone, and asked, "Is there a problem?"

Everyone was speechless.

Margaret looked worried. Where did William get the money for Villa No.1? Was he lying?

"Margaret, what's going on? This villa costs 200 million. Does your family have that kind of money?" Hazel asked, anxious. This place was way bigger than the other houses they saw, almost like a palace.

Didn't Margaret say her family couldn't afford it? Was she lying?

"Don't worry, we haven't gone in yet. If we can't get in, we'll have plenty of time to laugh at him," Dorothy said, clearly annoyed. She came to mock William, but now she was confused.

She glanced at her son-in-law Terry, as if to ask, "Can you afford this?"

Terry shook his head and smiled, "Mom, I really can't afford this place. Maybe William really bought it?"

Terry's words were meant to caution everyone not to underestimate William, but they took it as mockery. "Yeah, that loser can afford this?"

"We're just at the entrance. Let's see if we can actually get inside," Hazel and Delia chimed in, looking disdainful.

Yancy and Ulysses eyed Villa No.1 with a mix of suspicion and excitement. It was just too luxurious. If only they could live here.

Ivan and Nancy were already taking pictures, eager to show off.

Margaret, still worried, grabbed William's arm and said, "Don't embarrass me. There's still time to tell the truth. If we can't get in, you'll look foolish!"

William just smiled, "You'll see."

Mary added, "Mom, why don't you believe us?" She linked arms with William and walked to the door.

The four Eagle family security guards at the entrance immediately opened the door and greeted them, "Mr. Jones, Ms. Smith, welcome home."

Everyone was stunned!

They watched as William and Mary walked in like it was really their home.

Dorothy and Hazel were in shock; this revelation was beyond their imagination.

Margaret felt a mix of excitement, guilt, and vindication. She didn't care anymore whether William had bought the villa. She ran inside, exclaiming in awe.

"Hey, come in and see my new home," Margaret shouted, full of pride.

Seeing the relatives' bitter faces, Margaret felt on top of the world!

Who would've thought Villa No.1 actually belonged to her family?

Dorothy and the others felt very uncomfortable. They hesitated at the door but couldn't resist their curiosity.

Once inside, they were ecstatic! Villa No.1 was like a palace.

They had never seen such a luxurious mansion. They were like country bumpkins visiting a grand estate, exclaiming in awe.

The villa was stunning, like something out of a TV show. The chandelier was custom-made by Swarovski! The sofa was a custom brand from Crown! And there was even a spiral staircase that led to the second floor!

Their first thought was, 'This place is expensive!'

"What's going on? How could that loser William afford such a villa? It costs 200 million!" Delia whispered to Hazel, full of jealousy.

Hazel was also confused. They came to mock William, but now everyone was puzzled.

"I don't know either. Isn't Margaret's son-in-law a loser? Where did he get so much money?" Hazel muttered in confusion.

Hazel looked puzzled, glancing at William and Mary, all the while feeling bitter inside.

"Didn't you see? The security guards were really respectful to William. Could he be secretly rich?" Yancy suggested, and Ulysses nodded.

Hazel nodded but didn't buy it. If William were rich, would he have put up with three years in the Smith family? Everyone saw how Margaret treated him.

Dorothy, still shocked despite having visited before, mocked, "It's fake. I came here before, and the owner is George, the richest man in our city. William must have rented it for a day!"

Hearing this, Hazel and the others smirked even more.

"I knew it. How could that loser William afford this? Margaret must be delusional," Hazel said angrily.

Meanwhile, Margaret acted like it was her own home, proudly showing everyone around.

"Margaret, did William really buy this? It's so luxurious!"

"Yeah, this place is amazing. How did William get the money? Why didn't you tell us?"

"Margaret, we're family. With so many empty rooms, why didn't you invite us to move in?"

The relatives kept praising Margaret, setting her up for a fall.

Dorothy felt the most humiliated. She loved showing off and belittling William, but now she could only hold it in. She couldn't wait to reveal the truth and embarrass Margaret's family.

Margaret, feeling like a wealthy woman, had forgotten about her morning promise to apologize to William. She sat on the sofa like a hostess and said, "Of course, you can stay. Come anytime. The more, the merrier."

The people around the sofa exchanged glances, showing faint disdain. Margaret really thought she was the owner.

"Margaret, did your family really buy this villa?" Hazel asked, wanting to expose the lie.

Margaret snapped, "Hazel, you're already inside. Why so many questions? If it's not ours, is it yours?"

"Margaret, we know your situation. Can William, that loser, come up with 200 million?" Yancy asked.

"What do you mean by that? Are you looking down on us?" Margaret was getting anxious. She knew her family couldn't afford this villa, and neither could William.

"Margaret, don't say that. I heard the owner is George, the richest man in our city," Hazel said, crossing her legs with a mocking smile. "If William bought it, why isn't the last name Smith? Could he have rented it to deceive us?"

William walked over, ready to speak, but Margaret glared at him. She angrily asked, "William, tell the truth. Is this villa rented?"

Margaret remembered Eliana confirming the villa belonged to George. Was William deceiving her?

"Why don't you call the property management and ask whose name the villa is under now?" William said calmly, handing her his phone.

Margaret didn't hesitate. She called and asked, "Excuse me, who's the current owner of Villa No.1?"

The property management replied politely, "Ma'am, the current owners of Villa No.1 are..."
