Chapter 229 To Teach You Some Rules
Margaret was so frightened by his roar that she shivered all over and pulled the covers over her head to sleep.
But the trembling blanket clearly showed that Margaret was terrified.
"Margaret!" William called out furiously. Margaret really had no limit. How could she put Mary in danger?
William was already beyond furious; Margaret had completely disappointed him.
He rushed into her ward and saw Margaret curled up under the covers, the whole blanket shaking.
"Get up!" William shouted.
Tyler, standing nearby, quickly grabbed William's arms and tried to calm him down, saying, "William, alright. Nothing happened. Besides, your mom was coerced; you can't blame her entirely."
William turned and glared at Tyler, angrily saying, "Tyler, let go."
Tyler was stunned, frightened by William's cold and angry words, and shakily stepped aside.
At this point, Margaret, who was hiding under the covers and observing through a corner, suddenly sat up and shrank into the corner, shouting, "William, don't hit me. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm really sorry. Please don't hit me."
Margaret was scared to death, really worried that William would beat her to death.
In the villa, William was so cruel that they left an indelible impression on Margaret.
William glared at Margaret angrily and warned, "Margaret! I'm warning you, if you ever do anything to put Mary in danger again, I won't let you off. You better watch yourself."
With that, William clenched his fists and left.
He really wanted to teach Margaret a lesson, but she had already gotten quite a beating. Besides, she was Mary's mother, and he couldn't bring himself to do it.
He decided to give her another chance. If she still didn't repent, William wouldn't mind teaching her a lesson.
After William left the room, Margaret finally breathed a sigh of relief, angrily glaring at Tyler standing nearby, and cried out, "You wuss! Didn't you see William was going to hit me? And you just stood there? How could you? I'm your wife!"
Tyler, with a cold face, glared at her and scolded, "Don't talk about William. I'll beat your ass. What makes you think you can vent your anger at me after all the stupid things you've done?"
Margaret was startled by Tyler's sudden scolding.
At home, Tyler had always listened to her and was afraid of her.
But Margaret didn't expect that because of this incident, even Tyler would be harsh towards her.
Suddenly, Margaret felt very wronged and started crying loudly, rolling on the floor and cursing, "You all gang up on me. What about my injuries? What could I do then? He forced me. Don't I know Mary is my daughter? You all are bullying me.How can I be in charge of the household? Let me go to hell."
Margaret was very angry and very sad.
William suddenly became so powerful, and she couldn't accept it for a moment.
She didn't dare to ask a word about William's identity.
Would she have to keep her head down when dealing with him in the future?
And now Tyler was being harsh to her, too. Was she just a nobody to everyone?
Faced with Margaret's unreasonable behavior, which had been the same for decades, Tyler was very frustrated. He turned his head and left to check on Mary.
When William returned to Mary's ward, he saw a beautiful woman; it was Susan.
Susan was sitting by the bed, chatting with Mary.
Susan held a document and smiled slightly at Mary, saying, "Mary, take a good look at these papers when you get home. I hope you'll consider them."
"What are you doing here?" William frowned while asking.
Susan should have returned to Imperial City.
"You're here." Seeing William, Susan stood up abruptly, a trace of shyness flashing across her face, but she still pretended to be indifferent and said, "I came to see Mary and also to check on Margaret."
William nodded coldly, glanced at the papers in Mary's hands, and said indifferently, "Mary, give them back to her."
Susan's face showed a slight hint of discomfort.
Mary suggested, "William, don't be so harsh. After all, you two are still friends."
Mary, sensing the awkward atmosphere, quickly tried to smooth things over.
She wanted to appear magnanimous and didn't want to put William in a difficult position at this moment.
Susan replied, "Mary, don't misunderstand. William and I are just friends."
Seeing Mary's magnanimous expression, Susan couldn't help but feel a bit jealous. No wonder William wasn't interested in her at all.
Mary was such a good actress.
Was this how she deceived William?
Susan decided to change her strategy. If the tough approach didn't work, she would try a softer one.
"It's okay." Mary wanted to say it was fine; after all, Susan was William's ex-fiancée, but the words stuck in her throat, and she felt a bit resentful.
So her tone changed, and she said coldly, "Ms. White, I can't accept these things, but please mind your own business. William is my husband."
"Ms. Smith, I told you, William and I are just friends," Susan insisted as she crossed her arms, her expression displeased, and gave Mary a cold glance.
William didn't know what to do for a moment because he had never encountered such a situation.
William said, "Alright, alright, stop."
William was so embarrassed that he didn't know how to smooth things over.
He felt very guilty towards Susan.
"I'll head out," Susan said, then picked up her bag and turned to leave.
"Why don't you go after her and comfort your ex-fiancée?" Mary said sarcastically and gave William a cold glance, feeling a bit smug inside.
Mary thought to herself, 'See, William cares most about her.'
Mary was throwing a tantrum now to see who William really loved.
"Mary, there's really nothing between us. Don't overthink it, okay?" William insisted and felt very wronged; he and Susan were completely innocent.
Those things happened years ago.
Mary pouted, but the smug smile on her lips was hard to hide.
A few days later, Mary was discharged from the hospital. William specifically booked a wellness club to invite Mary to relax and unwind.
Mary initially wanted to say no because she thought that was a waste of money.
However, William insisted firmly. In the end, Mary dressed up and went out with William.
It was like taking a vacation.
Since it was the weekend, the wellness club was already filled with many prominent social elites and wealthy ladies.
This was one of the most upscale wellness clubs in Lindwood City, with luxurious and high-end decor.
William parked the car and took Mary into the club.
"Sir, this private room has been reserved by a customer. Please return to your own room." The club's attendant led William to the reserved small private room, which was semi-open, surrounded by similar semi-open private rooms.
However, William found that the private room had already been occupied by a couple.
This was the private room William had specifically reserved, but now it was occupied by a couple, making William very unhappy.
He had prepared for so long today just to accompany Mary for a relaxing massage here.
Louis said arrogantly, "Are you an idiot? I'm Louis Ramirez. Today, I'm taking this private room, so what?"
Louis, dressed in a white suit, looked quite dashing, but his manners were terrible.
He was too arrogant to put anyone in his eyes.
"Mr. Ramirez, this private room was reserved by this guest," the attendant informed and smiled politely.
"Get lost! Leave me with my sauna," Louis said arrogantly. He had his eyes on this semi-open private room because it offered a view of the club's surroundings.
"Sir," the attendant said.
"What, huh?" Louis said displeased, "Call your manager over and ask him who I am! Believe it or not, I can get you fired with one word!"
The atmosphere was tense, and the attendant had a wry smile on his face.
Mary said to William, "Forget it. Let's have our room changed."
Mary tugged at William to leave as she didn't want to kill the mood over such a small matter.
William stated sternly, "I don't think so. This is the private room I reserved, so it's ours. Constantly giving in will only make people look down on us."
William didn't respond, raising an eyebrow and giving the man in the white suit a cold look.
"Damn, you're pretty arrogant," Louis said as he suddenly stood up and raised his right hand to slap William in the face!
William grabbed his wrist, pressed Louis's handsome face, and slammed it onto the ground with a bang.
The ground was hot stone, and Louis screamed in pain.
"Hot, hot, hot! Let go of me! Do you know who I am?" Louis shouted in pain.
"I told you, this private room is mine, understand?!" William said coldly.
The manager asked, "What's going on?"
At this moment, the club manager hurried over, having heard the commotion earlier.
"Sir," the attendant said and quickly bowed.
The club manager gasped, "Mr. Ramirez!"
The club manager's face changed dramatically when he saw Louis, and he quickly pushed William away, angrily shouting, "What the hell are you doing?"
This was Louis Ramirez, a young master from Imperial City!
"He took my private room," William replied and frowned.
"What do you mean your private room? I'm the manager here, and this private room belongs to Mr. Ramirez. You go over there!" The club manager said coldly.
"Oh? What if I insist on staying here today?" William's face darkened as he spoke.
He was very unhappy with the manager's attitude.
No one in this world dared to take what belonged to him!
"Then I'll have to ask you to leave," the club manager sneered coldly. This was his turf.
How dare he talk to him like that!
