Chapter 252 The Visitors With Ill Intentions
The employees watching had wide eyes and covered their mouths in shock at the sudden scene.
William, that useless freeloader, actually dared to assault the BK Pharmaceuticals' vice president?
Keith was the Mr. Carter of Sunshine Bay City!
The Carter family had considerable influence and connections in Lindwood City!
Wasn't this just courting death?
Mary, standing to the side, also staggered, stunned. William's behavior was completely beyond her expectations.
This guy, how could he not consider the consequences at all!
William had become increasingly unpredictable lately.
Seeing Keith snap out of his shock, William quickly rolled up his sleeves, looking determined to argue, and said, "Mr. Carter, what you said is too hurtful! Today, I must have a good debate with you!"
He questioned, "What is equality? What does society value now? It's equality! No job is superior or inferior. You can be a boss or a construction worker, but everyone is human and has dignity! Who guards the borders of our country day and night? Who toils under the sun to build our cities? Who patrols day and night to ensure the safety of our company?"
He announced, "They, these people about to take on security roles, have dedicated their youth, and some have even given their lives to protect our safety and the company's property! Tell me, how can you, a dignified vice president, say such vicious things about them? How can you trample on their dignity so wantonly? They are people, dignified people, with dignity!"
Then he scolded, "And you, Keith, in my eyes, are a despicable and shameless person! A person who cannot tolerate ordinary people and is arrogant!"
William's scolding was satisfying and exhilarating!
Oberon and the others were already in tears, wiping their eyes one by one.
William was right; every word was what they wanted to say. They had dignity, and they were dignified people!
This further solidified their determination to follow William to the death!
Keith was so angry that he gritted his teeth, his face flushed red. It was the first time he had been scolded so harshly!
"You! I will fire you! And you all, you are absolutely not allowed to step into our company!" Keith roared in anger, his face sinister.
Losing his composure, he pointed fiercely at William's nose and threatened, "I will remember this slap! You'll see! I will pay you tenfold!"
At this moment, a team of security guards rushed out of the company building!
The security team leader, Quillon Flores, had received the news that someone was causing trouble at the company entrance and had even hit Keith. That was a big deal!
Someone actually dared to hit Keith!
If Quillon didn't handle this well, they would all be fired!
"Mr. Carter!" Quillon called out.
He stood at attention, his hat askew, leading a group of panting security guards.
Keith's eyebrows relaxed, seemingly finding support, and he cursed at the approaching security guards, "What took you so long! Get these people out of here, especially him, arrest him!"
"Yes, Mr. Carter!" Quillon replied respectfully.
Then he turned his head and saw William smiling at him. Wasn't this the William who had helped them drive away Robert and his gang last time?
And he was also Mary's useless husband.
"William, what are you doing here?" Quillon asked.
Keith wanted him to arrest William; what was this about?
If Mary blamed him later, he would be in trouble.
Quillon was in a difficult position, sweating profusely.
"What are you waiting for? Get them out of here! Do you not want to work anymore?" Keith shouted.
Seeing the situation becoming delicate, Mary stepped forward and cleared her throat, saying, "William, what's going on?"
She had no choice. After all, Keith was the company's vice president, so she had to ask William first.
Mary, with her cold and beautiful demeanor, attracted everyone's attention as she stood there.
Quillon wiped the sweat off his forehead, relieved as Mary arrived, else he'd have been at a loss.
William, with an indifferent attitude, shrugged his shoulders and was about to speak when the enraged Keith pointed at him and shouted, "Mary! Do you know what your useless husband just did to me? He dared to openly assault his superior! Is this the kind of employee we hire? Is this your assistant, Mary? Who gave him such courage!"
Mary's eyebrows furrowed slightly, her expression cold as she said, "Mr. Carter, this is the company. Please address me as Ms. Smith!"
"And, he is my husband, but he is not useless! If you say that again, not only will my husband hit you, but I will also hit you," Mary added coldly.
Keith was stunned, glanced at the surrounding crowd, and yelled, "What are you looking at?" Then he gritted his teeth and said, "Fine! Ms. Smith! As the vice president of the company, I now propose to fire William and this group of security guards who came out of nowhere!"
"Oh, I hired these security guards. What, Mr. Carter, do you have a problem with that?" Mary replied coldly. She really disliked Keith's arrogant attitude just now.
Moreover, he had insulted William.
Mary, displeased, said, "And let me tell you, Mr. Carter, I will not fire William."
"You!"
Keith was rendered speechless by Mary's response, angrily pointing at William and Oberon as he threatened, "I will not let this go! Mary, just you wait! I will report this to the board!"
Keith left, escorted by a group of security guards out of the company.
Mary turned her cold gaze to William, her brows furrowed, and then looked at Oberon and the others standing idly, saying, "Come to my office!"
William knew it wouldn't be that simple. He told Oberon and the others to wait in the company and leisurely followed Mary upstairs.
As soon as they entered the office, Mary grabbed William's ear and said, "Do you know you went too far just now? If Keith pursues this, I won't be able to protect you."
William quickly begged for mercy, "Hey, hey, honey, let go. I was wrong, okay?"
Mary rolled her eyes at him and said, "Alright! For today's incident, you need to write a 10,000-word written reflection."
William was stunned, his face bitter, and he immediately pleaded, "Honey, a written reflection isn't necessary, is it? You saw what happened just now. It was clearly Keith who insulted my men, and I was just standing up for them."
Mary snapped, "It's good you mentioned it. Let me ask you, are they just a couple of men? They are clearly a bunch of thugs from the streets!"
Mary rolled her eyes at him and continued, "As for the security team, I will notify the security department. Your men should go back for now."
"Honey, can't you make an exception?" William asked, a bit anxious as he had promised Oberon and the others.
"Call me Ms. Smith in the company," Mary said, glancing at the shadow of someone eavesdropping behind the glass, and then winked at William before scolding, "Did you hear me? Even if you are my husband, in the company, I am your superior, and Keith is also your superior. Go write the reflection."
William, massaging Mary's shoulders, loudly said, "Yes, Ms. Smith."
The two exchanged a knowing smile, feeling a sense of mutual understanding.
After sitting for a while, William left the board office and ran into some familiar faces.
Joshua didn't expect to run into William here, especially seeing his nonchalant face, which made his anger flare up.
He immediately blocked William's path, adjusted his expensive suit sleeve, and sneered, "Well, if it isn't the freeloader William. We haven't met since the hotel incident. How about having a few drinks with me tonight?"
William frowned, looked Joshua up and down, and suddenly said, "Are we close?"
"Are we close?"
This sentence echoed in Joshua's ears and in the ears of his secretary, assistant, and bodyguards behind him.
Everyone looked at William as if he were an idiot. Who was this man daring to speak to Joshua like that? Was he tired of living?
Joshua's face twisted, his expression darkening instantly, and he said in a sinister tone, "William, what do you mean?"
"Idiot!" William cursed, rolling his eyes at him, barely giving him a glance, and walked straight past him.
It was such blatant disregard!
Joshua was so angry that he gritted his teeth, his fists clenched tightly, and he glared coldly at William's back, saying, "Enjoy your arrogance while it lasts. Let's see if you can survive tonight!"
More than half an hour passed.
William was waiting for Mary downstairs at the company. If he remembered correctly, Mary had mentioned that an important guest would be coming to their home tonight.
"Hello, Mr. Jones, Jasper Mitchell from the Eclipse Mafia invites you to dinner."
A deep voice suddenly interrupted William's thoughts.
He looked up and saw two burly men in black suits, black ties, and black sunglasses blocking his way.
Jasper Mitchell from the Eclipse Mafia?
William was puzzled. Who was this person?
What was the Eclipse Mafia? Was there such an organization in Lindwood City?
"Are we close?" William replied, directly ignoring the two men.
"Mr. Jones, please don't make this difficult for us. Ms. Smith has already gone over," the two men said, spreading their arms to block William's path, clearly intending to coerce him.
Mary had already gone over?
William's eyes narrowed, a hint of coldness flashing in his gaze.
These people were clearly up to no good.
