Chapter 267 Get Out of My Way
Then, William swung the two of them around in mid-air a few times!
No normal person could pull off such a move!
Regarding those two bald individuals, who were all talk but lacked action, they couldn't withstand William's harsh treatment and quickly became agitated. As William casually tossed them aside, they rolled on the ground several times!
At this point, they didn't even have the strength to stand up. They felt as if the world was spinning, and their stomachs were churning so much that they vomited up last night's leftovers!
One of them even lost control of his bladder and bowels!
But it wasn't over yet. William took a few steps forward and stomped hard on one of the bald guys' chests, causing him to let out a blood-curdling scream!
It was enough to make anyone's soul shiver in fear!
"I told you, since you want to die, I'll send you on your way!" William said in a chilling voice, looking coldly at them. He added, "Well, do I have to deal with each of you one by one? Get lost! If you don't, it won't just be a few broken ribs!"
With that, William kicked the bald guy to the side, who let out a scream and passed out with a blacked-out vision!
The tattooed young man and the other bald guy struggled to get up from the ground, dragging their unconscious companion as they tried to leave.
But William suddenly shouted, "Wait!"
This scared the two so much that their legs trembled, and they immediately fell to their knees, begging, "Please, spare us! We know we were wrong!"
William pointed at Abigail and said coldly, "Go over there and apologize to her!"
The two hooligans shared a knowing look before cautiously approaching Abigail, who was so terrified that she instinctively retreated a few steps.
The tattooed young man and the bald guy were genuinely remorseful, their heads banging on the ground as they apologized, "We were wrong. Please forgive us!"
Abigail, pale with fear, hid behind William, peeking out with a scared expression at the two thugs and saying, "You can go now, and don't ever do this again."
"Still not leaving?" William said, threatening with a kick.
"Yes, we're leaving," the two guys said as they scrambled to pick up their unconscious companion and fled, ignoring the scornful looks from passersby.
William didn't have time to think much before Abigail poked his shoulder and said shyly, "Thank you. I misunderstood you earlier. I'm really sorry."
She bowed to William, who quickly stopped her, scratching his head with a smile, unsure of what to say.
William grinned and said, "It's okay."
If he wasn't mistaken, when the thugs were tearing at Abigail's clothes, he seemed to see a red spider on her chest!
Could it be a coincidence?
William decided to keep an eye out.
Eventually, he and Abigail returned to the company in an awkward yet not-so-awkward atmosphere.
William originally wanted to talk to Mary, but she wasn't there, so he just sat around waiting.
William, bored, watched some videos online to pass the time.
Before he knew it, it was time to clock out.
Abigail unexpectedly came to the marketing department's office, instantly catching the attention of all the male employees!
She was absolutely stunning, like a radiant woman stepping out of a painting!
Abigail, in her high heels, stood at the entrance of the marketing department, peeking inside. Upon spotting William seated by the door, her face brightened with a smile, and she hurriedly made her way towards him.
"Hi, William, are you free tonight? I'd like to treat you to dinner," Abigail said.
She had mustered a lot of courage and struggled with her thoughts for a long time before deciding to come find William!
Even her voice just now was tinged with shyness.
Abigail's heart was racing, and her bright, foxy eyes were fixed on William, afraid he would reject her next. She clutched her folder tightly, feeling anxious.
She just wanted to treat William to dinner to thank him for what happened during the day and to clear up her previous misunderstanding of him.
In fact, she didn't even realize that she might have started to like the feeling of being protected by William.
She thought, 'Oh my, how shy! How nervous!'
Not only was she nervous, but all the male employees in the marketing department were nervous, too!
They wondered, 'What's going on? Abigail, the beautiful woman, actually came to the marketing department just to invite William to dinner?! And it's dinner!'
They were going crazy! They almost doubted their ears!
They thought, 'No, this must be a hallucination! William is Mary's husband, despite the fact that he's quite useless and idle in the company. But, is this really okay? Could it be that Abigail is also a promiscuous person?'
William was also a bit stunned. Looking at Abigail's warm smile in front of him, he felt hesitant. The longer he hesitated, the more the male employees in the office grew restless and unruly.
They mused, 'Hesitating? He really is a freeloader, afraid that his wife Mary will hold him accountable later. This is Abigail personally inviting you to dinner, and you're hesitating!'
Many men wished they could replace William at that moment and say they were free.
However, William's next words drove them even crazier!
He said, "I'm not free tonight, how about another day?"
William felt helpless. He could feel countless eyes behind him like daggers as he said this!
Abigail's face changed slightly, but she controlled her disappointment well and replied, "Alright, another day then."
With that, Abigail ran out of the marketing department. She didn't know how she managed to run out under such pressure, only feeling completely exhausted.
This was her first time inviting a man to dinner in front of so many people.
But she was rejected.
"Am I not attractive?" Abigail murmured.
Hiding in the restroom, she patted her delicate face, forcing a smile to calm herself down.
However, the smile on her lips carried a trace of unnoticeable coldness and a hint of a successful scheme.
Meanwhile, the marketing department had gone completely mad!
All the male employees surrounded William, frantically questioning why he refused.
This was a golden opportunity, and he just turned it down with one sentence!
William managed to escape the office, only to find Betty waiting downstairs.
Betty, dressed in a sky-blue long dress and off-white high heels, with a tall figure and perfect curves, leaned against the BMW's door, arms crossed, smiling at William.
"You're here early?" William asked, waving a hand in greeting, the other hand in his pocket.
Betty was like a fairy, always looking different and beautiful every time he saw her. She was perfect from every angle!
Today, she wore exquisite makeup, exuding the aura and looks of an idol!
"I just got here a little while ago," Betty said, smiling. Her red lips, white teeth, and long eyelashes sparkling in the sunlight made her look very charming.
William shrugged and asked, "Can you tell me now, what do you need me for?"
Betty mischievously opened the car door and said with a smile, "Get in, you'll know when we get there."
William pouted. Although riding in a car with a beautiful woman was a happy thing, he always felt Betty had an agenda.
'Oh well, might as well help her out,' he thought.
After a while, they arrived at the entrance of Royal Orchid Fine Dining.
This was one of the most upscale restaurants in Lindwood City.
To dine here, one needed not only money but also a Royal Orchid Fine Dining VIP Gold Card!
This restaurant had a strict membership system; only members could make reservations!
Unexpectedly, Betty was dining here tonight.
Suddenly, someone shouted arrogantly, "Where did this bumpkin come from? Get out of my way!"
This interrupted William's thoughts.
The arrogant guy was Gideon Norwood, with a notoriously bad temper.
William just glanced at him coldly. Despite his decent appearance, his manners were terrible!
Gideon, dressed in branded casual wear, saw William's cold glance and the stunning beauty standing next to him, which made him very unhappy!
He was so rich, yet he didn't have such a beautiful woman. How could this bumpkin have such an enchanting girlfriend?
What a waste!
Gideon cursed, "What the hell! The Royal Orchid Fine Dining isn't a place for you! Dressed like a bumpkin, get out of my way!"
