Chapter 306 Savannah's Visit

William held a syringe in his hand and directly jabbed it into Archibald's thigh, a cold smile playing on his face as he said, "Don't get excited. It's just an anesthetic."

Hearing this, Archibald felt dizzy. He struggled to roll off the operating table and fell to the ground with a thud, the impact so painful that he thought he might die from it.

William, however, casually sat on a nearby stool, legs crossed and hands folded, watching Archibald crawl towards the door with a sneer.

Archibald's face was pale and his eyes were red. Clutching his chest, he slowly crawled towards the operating room door, desperately shouting, "Someone! Doctor! Help..."

Archibald stretched out his hand toward the locked door, just as the anesthetic took effect. Instantly, his limbs went numb and he lost sensation, his eyelids growing heavy.

He kept shouting in his mind, 'Don't sleep. Don't sleep. If you sleep now, it's over!'

William sat on the side, seeing the anesthetic take effect, sneered, and looked at Archibald lying on the ground, saying, "Ignorant fool."

Archibald suddenly gasped, almost fainting from fear.

"Stop playing dead. We need to talk," William said, clapping his hands and casually picking up a scalpel.

"You, what do you want! I am Archibald of the Henderson family from Imperial City. Doing this will bring endless revenge from the Henderson family!" Archibald stammered, utterly panicked. William was clearly not a good person; he had completely misjudged him!

"You don't need to be afraid, Mr. Henderson. Since I can stand in front of you, it means I have some skills. To me, the Henderson family is nothing," William said coldly. The scalpel in his hand gleamed, making Archibald on the operating table shiver in fear.

Archibald struggled. William in front of him was simply a devil!

"What do you want?" Archibald asked, terrified.

Could William really have some backing, completely unafraid of the Henderson family's revenge?

But there was no Jones family in Imperial City. If there was, it was just a small family, not worth worrying about!

The Jones Group of Imperial City?

To the Henderson family, it was not a threat.

"Mr. Henderson, your life is in my hands now. You better think carefully before answering the conditions I am about to state," William said, his lips curling into a wicked smile.

Seeing the gleaming scalpel in William's hand, Archibald felt a chill all over. He had never been treated like this before; this was the greatest humiliation of his life!

"What are your conditions?" Archibald asked again.

After all, he was a scion of a prestigious family in Imperial City, with extraordinary endurance and temperament. Even at this moment, he was trying to stay calm.

"Well, not bad, as expected of a nobleman from Imperial City. This temperament is commendable," William said, shamelessly laughing. "It's simple, I want your family to completely withdraw from Lindwood City, not leaving a single bit of influence here!"

"Impossible! You're dreaming!" Archibald shouted excitedly!

Lindwood City was a planned coastal city with unprecedented development opportunities. His family had been planning this for years and was well-acquainted with the city. Withdrawing now would be a significant loss.

"Mr. Henderson, now I'm negotiating with you. Is this really the right attitude?" William muttered, a cold glint in his eyes.

Archibald flatly refused, "Did Mary send you? I didn't expect there to be such a formidable woman in this city! But don't even think about it, my family's power is beyond your imagination! Withdrawing from here is simply a dream!"

"Then there's nothing to talk about," William said.

He shrugged, and without hesitation, the scalpel in his hand sliced open Archibald's chest!

In an instant, bright red blood gushed out along the blade!

Archibald's mind went blank, then he screamed, "This is murder, a capital crime!"

He completely lost his previous composure. Under the threat of death, anyone would reveal their true nature!

William raised his hand and said calmly, "Mr. Henderson, judging by the amount of blood from this cut, you have roughly five minutes to make a decision."

Five minutes!

Archibald's mind went blank. He had never been so close to death. In the past, he decided who lived and who died, but today, the roles were reversed!

Everything was reversed!

Archibald had never been threatened by anyone, but now, he truly felt what it was like to be threatened!

"You can't do this! I will die!" Archibald screamed in panic. "Get a doctor now! If I die, you won't survive either!"

He didn't want to die; he was still young and the most likely candidate to inherit the Henderson family!

He couldn't die in a small place like Lindwood City!

In the next second, he felt an excruciating pain in his abdomen!

Why did the anesthetic wear off? Why?

William sneered, held the blood-stained scalpel, gently traced from Archibald's abdomen to his heart, saying, "Mr. Henderson, don't you understand the situation yet?"

William glanced at the clock, smiling leisurely as he counted, "Half a minute has passed, four and a half minutes left. Oh dear, four minutes and twenty seconds now! What are you hesitating about? We're talking about your life. Think it over."

Hearing this, Archibald was scared to his core. However, he persisted, glaring at William as he shouted, "You're dreaming! The Henderson family will never withdraw from Lindwood City! If I die, you won't have a good end either. You and Mary will all be buried with me!"

William clicked his tongue, shaking his head and coldly saying, "That's just being ungrateful."

With that, he plunged the scalpel directly into Archibald's arm, the sound of the blade hitting bone clearly audible!

Archibald screamed, gasping for breath, watching the scalpel stab into his arm, then grind against his bone, the bright red blood dripping from the operating table like a faucet onto the floor!

"Madman! You're a madman!" Archibald cursed.

William said calmly, "Two minutes left!"

His tone was icy, making Archibald tense up. Archibald clearly felt the coldness emanating from William. From the look in William's eyes, Archibald knew William wasn't worried about killing him at all!

To William, Archibald was nothing more than a worm!

Scared, Archibald gritted his teeth and agreed, "Fine! I agree! My family will withdraw from Lindwood City!"

William smiled with satisfaction as he dropped the scalpel and wiped his hands. "See, if you had agreed earlier, you wouldn't have lost so much blood," he said casually.

Then, a black pill suddenly appeared in William's palm, "Here, take this, and everything will be over."

Archibald, now dizzy from blood loss, knew William had no good intentions. Shaking his head, he replied, "What is this? I won't take it!"

William pinched Archibald's mouth and slapped his chest, causing Archibald to cry out in pain and open his mouth. William then threw the black pill into his mouth.

Archibald wanted to spit it out but couldn't. He glared at William and asked, "What did you make me take?"

"Poison," William said with a sneer. "If you go back on your word, you'll die from your organs rotting."

Archibald was stunned, not believing for a second that such a thing existed.

William shrugged. "Did you forget what we do?"

In fact, it wasn't a drug they developed but a vitamin William bought on the way.

It was just a little trick to scare Archibald.

Archibald panicked, watching William turn and leave the operating room, shouting, "Call a doctor!"

Outside the hospital, William changed into his own clothes, glanced at Benjamin waiting at the door, and prepared to leave.

But suddenly, he saw a familiar figure at the entrance!

It was Abigail!

What was she doing here?

And beside Abigail was another woman, extremely beautiful, who could make most men fall with just one look!

The woman, moving with cat-like grace in her red dress, approached William. She lightly parted her red lips and said softly, "Mr. Jones, hello, I'm Savannah. We finally meet."
