Chapter 83 Crisis Strikes

In the villa, Alan was discussing matters with a few trusted aides. The recent elimination of Wayne Perez had left a significant impact and Alan needed to strategize with his friends.
The situation involved dozens of businesses with a web of interests and connections.
When the frantic Craig rushed in, Alan scowled and asked, "What's wrong?" Why are you rushing?"
"Mr. Jordan, William has been arrested," said Craig while panting. "I just returned and heard that William got arrested at the Peace Hotel."
Alan stood up in a rage, his face contorted." What? How could William be arrested?"
"I heard he got caught harassing a woman on the spot. But according to our men, it was a setup by a small-time thug named Arnold." Craig explained.
"Arnold?" said Alan in disbelief. "I've never even heard of him. How dare he mess with William? He's asking for death!"
Alan's face turned cold. His eyes filled with a murderous intent. "Take some men and give that Arnold a good 'welcome'. Find out who ordered him to do this! Also, call Alvin Weaver!"
Alan knew that William's arrest would turn Lindwood City upside down. These people were truly audacious!
"Yes, Sir." Craig acknowledged.
Alan hurriedly left the villa, personally driving to a certain location.
Meanwhile, Mary had been with Jeffery after William's arrest. She was still trying to figure out a solution.
"Jeffery, you must help William. He wouldn't do such a thing. Those people must have set him up. I'm afraid something bad will happen to William." Mary pleaded; her voice filled with tears.
"Mary, don't worry. I'll do my best to help. Let me make a call to my dad. He should know some influential people." Jeffery reassured.
Mary nodded, her eyes red and tears rolling down her cheeks. All her hope was now pinned on Jeffery.
Jeffery pretended to call his father. After a while, his expression turned somber, and he looked troubled.
Seeing this, Mary's heart clenched. "Jeffery, does your father have any way to help?" she asked.
Jeffery sighed. "Mary, my dad, has already sent someone to inquire about this, but the situation is still being determined. We'll have to wait until tomorrow to know more.
Mary understood that seeking help wasn't easy. She nodded and anxiously asked, "Jeffery, can you help me contact those people we met earlier? I'll pay whatever they want."
Jeffery remained silent, which only made Mary more anxious.
After a while, Jeffery finally said, "I'll give it a try."
Little did Mary know; Jeffery was secretly feeling smug and pleased with himself. Help William? No way. He wanted William to stay locked up forever so he could get close to Mary and make her his.
At the same time, Alan entered the Golden Age Group Chairman's office with his seductive and voluptuous secretary.
Alan stood respectfully while George Clark worked at his desk.
"George, Alan is here," the secretary said in a sweet voice.
George looked up at Alan and asked, "Alan, it's pretty late. What brings you here?"
Alan replied nervously with his head down, "Sir, there was an incident, and William got arrested because of that."
George was taken aback and his expression instantly turned serious. "William got arrested? By whom?"
At that moment, the office door opened again, and Fred rushed in, looking flustered. "Sir, William was framed for assaulting a woman and has been taken away."
The office was instantly filled with a chilling cold and intense anger.
The mix of ice and fire made it clear that George was radiating a terrifyingly intense aura!
"Who did this?"
George was furious. He stood up in anger, and his eyes were like bronze bells!
Alan trembled in fear, almost losing his balance. He had never seen George so enraged.
All along, this old man had been amiable and approachable.
"We've identified the culprits, a few local thugs led by someone named Arnold. We haven't yet identified who is behind this," Fred quickly replied.
"Call Alvin and investigate the mastermind behind it!"
George squinted, his tone icy, and walked out of the office with Fred heading straight to the top floor's secret room.
Alan had to stay behind. He needed to be more important to join them.
A huge electronic display screen sat on the top floor in a several hundred square meter space.
George stood respectfully in front of it, showing respect to the old man sitting in a wheelchair with a breathing mask on the screen.
"Sir, William is in trouble."
George's voice trembled as he spoke.
The old man on the screen barely lifted his hand and moved a few fingers. His voice was weak but still penetrating. "Don't make a fuss, let Andres handle this."
"Yes, Sir," George replied respectfully. After hesitating for a moment, he asked, "Sir, should we tell William about Susan's situation?"
A moment of silence.
The old man sighed. "That girl is too proud. Let William handle this herself."
After the screen went blank, George turned around and left with Fred.
Stellaria Continent, Dragon Soar Villa Area.
A middle-aged man in his forties or fifties, with a majestic bearing and dressed in a gray suit, was playing chess with a man in his thirties on the other side.
Zooming out, you could see that there were a dozen bodyguards in combat uniforms standing inside and outside the villa, guarding all the entrances very seriously.
At this moment, a man in a green shirt hurriedly ran over and whispered a few words in the ear of the man in the gray suit.
The chess piece in the man's hand was crushed!
The grey-suited man with a cold gaze reprimanded, "What are these people doing? Investigate this matter thoroughly before making any arrests. Quickly call Alvin!"
He was furious!
In the courtyard, the kind of battlefield aura that had been around for a long time was rising!
The man opposite asked, "Andres, what's going on?"
The man in the gray suit snorted and pointed at the man in his thirties. "The person you brought out now has become someone else's tool. Do you know who his men have arrested?"
Andres was very angry, full of rage.
These people were simply out of their minds!
They even dare to arrest him casually. Were they looking for trouble?
"Who?" The man opposite frowned.
It must be something big to make Andres so angry.
Andres said coldly, "William Jones."
The chess piece in the man's hand fell onto the chessboard. He hurriedly stood up and said without hesitation, "I'll handle this right away, Andres."
They're as good as dead now!
Even if he dared to arrest, the people under Alvin were simply looking for death!
In a modest building, Square-faced Raymond sat in his office. Across from him sat none other than Jeffrey.
They knew each other from their college days.
He first took a box of coffee with a face full of flattery and said, "Raymond, this is for you. You must have a lot of work stress, so here's some good coffee."
Raymond glanced at it and immediately waved his hand. "Jeffery, take it back. I don't want this thing."
Jeffery smiled awkwardly but didn't dwell on it and went straight to the point. "Raymond, what do you think about handling that matter with my classmate?"
Raymond smiled back at Jeffrey and asked." Jeffery, I'm just a regular office worker. How can I handle it? You've got the wrong person."
Here came Jeffery Gray, running over in the middle of the night.
There must be something going on.
Jeffery smiled. "Raymond, I know you're worried about your son's schooling. I recently looked at a set of houses downtown, school district housing, with a balcony. I've given the keys to your wife. Why don't you give her a call?"
Raymond was taken aback. He frowned as he stared at Jeffery for a moment, then quickly called his wife. "Bonnie, did you receive someone's keys? Hurry and return them!"
Raymond was no ordinary man, especially his younger brother. However, it was because he was too poor that Jeffery came to him for help.
On the other end of the phone, Bonnie was bragging with her friends about getting school district housing in the city center. As soon as she heard Raymond's words, she immediately retorted, "Why should I return them? They were a gift! You're always working overtime and never at home. How many days have you spent with our son? You don't care about his schooling, so why are you yelling at me now? If you're so capable, get a school district house for our son yourself!"
She hung up the phone.
Raymond's face turned cold while staring at Jeffery. After a long while, he asked, "What do you want to do?"
