Mary, still in a daze, clutched the blanket tightly and felt the warmth of the embrace, her whole body trembling!
William was here. It was him!
"It's okay. Everything is okay now," William kept comforting her.
Once Mary had calmed down a bit, he released his arms, gently tucked her disheveled hair behind her ear, and said softly, "Leave the rest to me."
With that, William stood up and walked over to the groaning Archibald on the floor.
"How did you get here!" Archibald shouted, clutching clutched his chest, seemingly having broken a few ribs, in so much pain that he couldn't get up for a long time!
What was even more terrifying was that he hadn't even seen how William got in before he was kicked away!
Was William a demon?
William slapped him hard, knocking out several of his teeth!
Archibald spewed out several mouthfuls of blood, his face contorted with anger and his eyes burning red. He shouted at William, his voice filled with fury, "You're courting death! Do you know the consequences of what you're doing?"
Even though Archibald still had doubts in his heart, that slap had brought him back to reality. William was here and was ready to teach him a lesson!
"Archibald, you deserve to die!" William said coldly, his eyes filled with murderous intent!
Archibald and William locked eyes, and Archibald felt as if he had been electrocuted. He sensed a flood of killing intent from William's eyes, causing him to momentarily lose his senses.
Without another word, William stood up and stomped on Archibald's chest, the impact so powerful it cracked the floor tile!
Archibald let out a horrific scream, his chest feeling as if a boulder had hit it!
"Let go! By doing this, you're making an enemy of my family. My family won't let you off!" Archibald threatened, enduring the excruciating pain, his face turning purple. Clutching William's foot, he felt short of breath.
"So what if I'm making an enemy of the Henderson family? You dared to covet my woman, so I'll teach you a lesson on behalf of your family!" William said coldly in a low voice, "This time, I don't mind killing you."
Archibald's heart pounded violently!
He saw the real threat of death in William's eyes as if William could end his life with just a flick of his finger!
Why hadn't he listened to Larkin and gone after William?
Archibald was filled with deep regret now, wishing he could kneel down and beg William for mercy.
