'Overestimating yourself! Do you think knowing Alan gives you any clout? In this society, it's no longer about knives and guns; it's about connections and money!' Evander thought disdainfully.
"Evander, you're very arrogant. That's both your strength and your weakness. Your family will meet its end at your hands," William said calmly, a cold glint flashing in his eyes.
The reason he had been tolerating the Cater family was because he didn't want to alert his enemies.
But Evander didn't know his place and kept pushing his limits.
He deserved to die.
Evander chuckled, raising an eyebrow, and said coldly, "Alright, let's see how you can bring down my family."
"Oh, I must remind you, my family is not comparable to that loser Lucian. Behind us stands the Miller family, a transcendent family!" Evander sneered, completely dismissing William.

Suddenly, Evander's gaze locked onto William, and he shouted, "Was this your doing?"

Everyone present also realized something was wrong!

Meanwhile, Cloud Peak Manor was heavily guarded. Jessica, in a white knee-length dress, sat gracefully on a white goose-feather sofa in the hall, holding a Persian cat in her arms.
Behind her stood Zoe.
In the hall, eight Miller family guards stood on each side, fully armed.
A furious shout came from the hall entrance. "Jessica!"
William, with a group of people, stormed in aggressively!
