Chapter 242 Mary Meets with Mr. Jones

Public opinion could be overwhelming, making it impossible to defend oneself.

William roared, "Enough!"

He then slammed the ward door, turning to Margaret cursing Lucy, and inquired, "Margaret, what exactly do you want?"

Margaret, her mouth dry from all the yelling, took a sip of water and continued to curse, "What do I want? I can't talk about the mess you've made? I'm telling you, I'm not letting this go today. I'm calling Mary right now."

With that, she pulled out her phone, pretending to make a call, and glanced at William, raising her voice, "I'm calling right now! Once Mary knows, you two are definitely getting a divorce!"

Would Margaret really make the call?

No, she wouldn't.

She now knew that Villa No.1 was bought by William.

If things really blew up, she wouldn't gain anything.

She had to get her hands on Villa No.1 first and then kicked William out.

William's horrifying behavior at the villa kept Margaret awake.

William was a ticking time bomb in her home.

She thought, 'What if he turns violent one day?'

The thought was terrifying!

William chuckled, finally understanding her intention. "Tell me, what do you really want?" he asked again.

"What do you mean, what do I want? William, what are you implying?" Margaret retorted, glaring at William.

William chuckled again and said, "Since you don't want anything, I'll make the call for you and explain everything to Mary myself."

With that, he pulled out his phone to make the call.

Seeing this, Margaret panicked. She rushed over, snatched the phone from William's hand, and said urgently, " Don't think I don't know what you're up to. Only I can make this call."

As she said, she glared at Lucy and cursed, "You bitch! Get out of here!"

Lucy wanted to explain, but William gave her a look, signaling her to take Sarah and leave.

In the large ward, only William and Margaret remained.

Margaret sat on the sofa, legs crossed. With a smug look on her face, she said, "William, as long as you admit your mistake and add my name and your dad's to the villa, I'll pretend I didn't see anything."

Margaret had held back for a long time before saying this.

She glanced at William, who looked very calm.

She thought, 'What is William thinking? Is he really not worried about me telling Mary?'

A cold chuckle escaped her lips.

William understood now; this was Margaret's plan.

"How did you know I bought the villa?" William asked.

Margaret, still nervous, replied, "Mary told me."

She felt guilty because the villa was bought by William. If William had the money to buy a villa, his status would have been extraordinary.

Now, her mind was filled with thoughts about William's status and how much money he had. If she could get it all, she would be rich.

In the future, she could enjoy a life of luxury.

"But, William, did you really buy the villa?" Margaret asked again, wanting to hear it from his own mouth.

William was silent for a moment and then said, "Yes."

It was true!

Margaret's breathing quickened instantly, and she became restless.

She had been guessing, and now hearing it confirmed, she was very excited.

"Are you from a rich family? Why did you join ours and go through so much tough stuff? Are you planning to get back at me?" she asked.

Her biggest worry was this. She lowered her head, her hands fidgeting nervously.

William chuckled and said, "Margaret, you're not worth my revenge. If I really wanted to take revenge, I wouldn't have waited until now and still be sitting here calmly with you."

Hearing this, Margaret finally let out a sigh of relief.

If William really took revenge on her, she couldn't handle it.

Jessica alone was already fierce enough.

"Alright, you said it, no going back on your word!" Margaret said directly.

William shook his head helplessly.

She added, "By the way, are you really a rich kid? How much money does your family have? When will you introduce me to your parents?"

At this point, Margaret grinned, her face full of wrinkles, which was truly disgusting.

"Whether I'm a rich kid or not, and how much money my family has, what does that have to do with you?" William asked coldly.

Margaret was speechless, cursing William in her heart, but still forced a smile on her face. "Oh, come on, you're my son-in-law. I haven't seen your parents in three years. It's not right."

"No need," William stated coldly.

He then stood up and said, "Let's deal with the villa now. We'll add your and Dad's names."

William thought it was simple: the less trouble, the better.

Given Margaret's concern for the villa, adding her name to it might prevent further issues.

"Really?" Margaret blurted out, her eyes widening with joy.

She then praised, "William, I was blind before and didn't see that you were a rich kid. Now, I'll treat you like my own son. Come home with Mary tonight, and I'll cook for you."

Margaret now looked like someone who had just gained a small victory.

William and Margaret left and arrived at the upscale residential area. William had already contacted George in advance, so the process was quick.

When Margaret saw her name added to the property deed, she couldn't stop smiling.

"Mom, you should head back. I have some things to take care of," William said before leaving.

Margaret watched William's back, rolling her eyes and muttering, "Does he think adding my name is enough to please me? I want to see how much money his family really has."

Margaret wouldn't rest until she had drained William's assets.

She swayed her ample hips back to the villa and promptly celebrated by throwing a party with friends after announcing the news.

Meanwhile, Mary was at the office, having had a busy day.

She was especially overwhelmed with the new drug sales channels.

Currently, facing immense pressure from the Sanchez family in the Southern District, BK Pharmaceuticals had lost many sales channels.

If this continued, BK Pharmaceuticals would collapse before receiving any investment from the Jones Group in Imperial City.

After much thought, Mary decided to contact the Jones Group to see if they had any solutions.

She dialed the number of Dylan Brooks, the chairman of the Jones Group in Imperial City.

"Hello, Mr. Brooks," Mary said with a warm and gentle voice.

On the other end, Dylan, who was in a meeting, immediately paused the session. He responded respectfully but with a hint of casualness, "Ms. Smith, how can I help you?"

Dylan, being shrewd, knew that Mary must have a reason for calling.

"Mr. Brooks, I'd like to meet with Mr. Jones. Could you help me arrange a meeting? Last time, I didn't get to see Mr. Jones, and the entire BK Pharmaceuticals team regrets it. So, I was hoping..."

Mary thought for a moment and gave this reason.

Dylan, sounding a bit troubled, said, "I'll check Mr. Jones' schedule. Please hold on."

"Alright, thank you for your help."

Mary politely ended the call and began pacing back and forth in her office.

She was anxious as the current situation was very unfavorable for BK Pharmaceuticals.

She needed to quickly find new distributors or partner with the ruthless businessman, Joshua.

Sixty percent of the profits was an outrageous demand!

Meanwhile, Dylan immediately called William, speaking respectfully, "Mr. Jones, Mrs. Jones wants to meet with you."

William, on his way to his company, asked suspiciously, "What's going on? Is there trouble at her company?"

Dylan replied, "According to recent reports, BK Pharmaceuticals' sales channels have been blocked by the Sanchez family in the Southern District. Mrs. Jones might be looking for new partners. Should I arrange a meeting between you and Mrs. Jones?"

Dylan felt helpless. They were clearly husband and wife, yet it felt like they were sneaking around.

But he didn't dare question it; William must have his reasons.

William thought for a moment and said, "Alright, arrange it."

"Understood," Dylan replied.

After hanging up, Dylan nervously began making arrangements.

William thought it over and decided to meet Mary to reveal his identity in a way she could accept.

First, William went to his company. Then, under Melissa's guidance, he bought several outfits at the mall and got a new hairstyle, dressing up nicely.

Looking at the dashing and handsome William in the mirror, Melissa couldn't take her eyes off him.

Was this really William?

He looked so handsome!

He exuded the aura of a wealthy young man with an air of nobility.

"Let's go," William said. He was dressed in a sharp black suit with a white shirt and a bow tie, and he was wearing an expensive watch on his wrist.

They headed to the restaurant Dylan had arranged, which was the most luxurious sky garden restaurant in Lindwood City.

The entire restaurant was situated 300 feet in the air, with a floor below featuring a blooming sky garden and a suspended fountain, creating a galaxy-like world!

It was incredibly luxurious as if it was in a fairy tale.

Mary, elegantly dressed in a knee-length white dress adorned with tiny crystals, had her hair up and wore red high heels that accentuated her long legs. Holding a red clutch, she walked gracefully to the reserved table, guided by the waiter.

The entire restaurant had been booked.

Mary was surprised by the grand setup for the meeting.

She felt a mix of nervousness and anticipation.

She wondered, 'Who is this mysterious Mr. Jones? Is he someone I know?'

Meanwhile, William had arrived at the entrance and saw Mary waiting under the lights. From this distance, she looked beautiful and elegant.

She was a perfect woman.

William took a bouquet of red roses from the waiter and walked up gracefully.
