Chapter 313 William Confessed
No one dared to respond!
Jumping out now would be sheer stupidity—a death wish!
William was a ruthless person who had single-handedly crippled Lucian, someone who had dominated the underground forces of Sunshine Bay City for over twenty years, and even Peregrine was no match for him!
The power dynamics of Sunshine Bay City's underground forces were about to change tonight.
In the face of absolute power, all schemes and plots would become worthless!
William just wanted to say, "You're all a bunch of losers!"
At the same time, he lamented to himself, 'It's been a long time since I went to Sunshine Bay City. Have some people forgotten about my existence?'
Everyone in the hall was as silent as the grave, no one dared to take the lead to speak. Without their leader, they were helpless.
Lucian lay on the ground, trembling all over. He had never failed like this before, and the pain in his legs made him break out in a cold sweat.
"Get him! Kill him for me!" Lucian roared through the pain. "Whoever kills him will be the next president!"
Before he could finish, William grabbed a knife and threw it out, slicing off one of Lucian's hands at the wrist with a swish!
Lucian screamed in pain as blood splattered all over him.
The inhuman pain almost made him pass out!
"You still dare to talk nonsense right now?" William sneered as he coldly glanced at Lucian, his eyes filled with killing intent!
"Since you are prepared to kill me, you should also be prepared to be killed!" William announced coldly.
He stood in the hall with Benjamin, facing dozens of elite opponents without any fear. Instead, they walked forward, forcing the elites to retreat toward the door!
He was only one person, but he subdued everyone on the other side!
"Harper, how much longer?" William suddenly asked, his voice loud.
"Almost there," Harper replied.
Standing not far behind William, she was already a bit dizzy from William's ruthless actions.
As soon as he finished speaking, dozens of law enforcement vehicles surrounded the hotel in an instant!
"Everyone inside, you are surrounded! Surrender now!"
The vehicle broadcast a warning outside, and two squads of fully armed officers stormed in, taking control of everyone in an instant!
A man with a grim face, holding a gun and wearing a badge on his chest, glanced at the people being loaded onto the law enforcement vehicles in the hall. He then put away his gun, walked up to Harper with a look of urgency and concern, and asked, "Harper, are you okay?"
Harper kept some distance from the man and replied, "I'm fine. It was thanks to him."
As she spoke, the man turned to look at William and frowned, but still extended his hand to William with a slight smile. "Hello, I'm Lysander Inglewood."
William chuckled, shook his hand politely, and said, "I'm William."
Meanwhile, at a hotel somewhere in Lindwood City, Thaddeus lay on the bed, a slender and delicate woman beside him. He was about to make love again when his subordinate shouted from outside the door, "Something's wrong!"
"What are you shouting about? Can't you see I'm busy?" Thaddeus shouted, sitting up from the bed, a bit angry. After all, anyone would be upset if their good time was interrupted, especially Thaddeus!
The subordinate, full of fear, crawled in. He stammered, "Something big has happened! Mr. Pembroke, he... he, and Peregrine, they..."
Thaddeus's eyebrows furrowed, a strong sense of unease welling up inside him. "What happened to them?" he asked.
"They, they were all arrested!" he subordinate stuttered, sweating profusely.
"Arrested?"
Thaddeus was stunned, then jumped off the bed without even bothering to put on his pants, and asked again, "You said Peregrine was arrested?"
The subordinate nodded vigorously, his face full of anxiety.
However, after a moment of stunned silence, Thaddeus suddenly clenched his fists, and a gloating smile spreading across his face as he exclaimed, "Great! Saves me the trouble!"
The subordinate, listening in confusion, said, "Mr. Pembroke was also arrested."
"What?"
Thaddeus froze, his brows furrowing tightly, and he angrily said, "My dad was arrested too? Who did it?"
The subordinate, wiping the sweat off his forehead, cautiously said, "It was local law enforcement!"
Thaddeus's face darkened, and he slammed the table. "Who would dare do this? Do they have a death wish?"
"It's not like that. Apparently, Mr. Pembroke provoked a young man at the Radiant Glow Hotel tonight, got beaten up, and then Peregrine took over forty people with him there to help, but they all got beaten up too!" the subordinate reported.
"What?"
Thaddeus felt like his brain had just short-circuited.
He thought in disbelief, 'Over forty people got beaten up by one person? This is an absolute joke! Peregrine is the strongest man in the organization!'
To Thaddeus, this was simply unbelievable!
His mind went blank for a moment as he stood by the bed with his pants down, his face growing increasingly grim.
Over the years, he had been secretly fighting with Peregrine for the position of president.
But they both belonged to the organization. Now that something had happened to Peregrine and his men, Thaddeus could have ignored it, but since it involved his father Lucian, he couldn't just stand by and watch.
Otherwise, the upcoming election for the next president of the organization couldn't be held!
After a few minutes of contemplation, Thaddeus finally looked up, his face dark, and said, "Are you sure about this information?"
"Absolutely sure!" The subordinate said, nodding vigorously.
He added heavily, "Our men planted at Peregrine's side just escaped from the chaos. The information is absolutely true!"
Thaddeus nodded in understanding and asked, "What about Sunshine Bay City?"
The subordinate replied, "The people in charge over there are already on their way. Rescuing them will cost us a lot."
Then he suggested anxiously, "Why don't you go yourself? This is Alan's territory."
"Damn it! Get some people to keep an eye on that kid. He dared to lay a hand on my dad? He's asking for death!" Thaddeus cursed, his face turning livid instantly.
As the vice president of the organization, he naturally knew that he would have to pay a price to settle this matter!
Sweating profusely, Thaddeus suddenly asked, "What about the others?"
The subordinate immediately replied, "They've already gone to meet the people from the old home. You need to make a decision quickly, or the organization will come down on you and mess up our future schemes."
Thaddeus's face turned extremely ugly.
"Damn it! They're all ungrateful bastards! Damn it!" Thaddeus cursed, angrily kicking over the coffee table.
A charming voice suddenly spoke, "Thaddeus, compared to the position of president, which is more important?"
It was the woman on the bed. She sat up from the bed and lazily hugged Thaddeus from behind, looking extremely seductive.
The subordinate stared in a daze, swallowed hard, and quickly lowered his head. He didn't dare to look at her directly, only sneaking a few glances.
Thaddeus pinched her nose and said intimately, "Wait for me to come back!"
With that, he picked up his clothes from the floor and quickly left the suite with the subordinate.
In the following days, Lindwood City remained as calm as ever, as if nothing had happened at the Radiant Glow Hotel.
Everyone was eagerly waiting for the Henderson family to retaliate against BK Pharmaceuticals, but after two weeks, there was no movement at all.
Some even began to suspect that they had privately reconciled with the Henderson family.
Moreover, news of the bloody incident at the Radiant Glow Hotel that night didn't spread, as if someone had deliberately suppressed it.
Everything seemed normal on the surface, but there was an undercurrent of something extraordinary.
Even though Evander escaped that night, William didn't get a chance to deal with him.
One day, Mary, who was wearing a black blazer and a pencil skirt, was drawing her eyebrows in front of the master bedroom mirror. She suddenly turned to look at William and asked, "Honey, can you tell me now why you were so fearless that night?"
William looked at Mary's curvy figure, a happy smile on his face, and said, "Actually, I'm not the young master of the Jones Group."
"You're not?" Mary asked, stunned, turning her head to look at William suspiciously.
'What's going on?' Mary wondered.
"Do you really want to know who I am?" William asked, looking at her face.
Mary was silent for a moment and then nodded in agreement.
"Come on, I'll take you to a place," William said, pulling Mary out of the bedroom.
"Where?" Mary asked, very puzzled.
"A place that can prove my identity. You'll know when you get there," William said seriously.
A place that could prove William's identity? Could it be?
Were they going back to the Jones family?
Mary suddenly felt nervous and panicked.
