Chapter 355 Is It You

Early on, when William made his move, the people dancing, drinking, and singing in the bar had already fled. Now, the large bar was left with only a few bartenders.

William glanced at the figure that appeared in the bar, couldn't help but sneer, and then simply leaned on the sofa, ready to watch the upcoming drama.

The group of people who rushed over saw William sitting on the sofa. The originally furious group immediately calmed down and turned their eyes to the thud leader.

Seeing Diggory arrive, the thug leader immediately ran over, pointed at William, and shouted, "Diggory, you're finally here! This punk beat us up. You need to deal with him!"

When Diggory heard this and saw the look in William's eyes, he was terrified!

Before the thug could finish speaking, Diggory went up and slapped him hard across the face, making him dizzy!

"Diggory, why are you hitting me? He's the one who beat us up," the thug asked, looking aggrieved and puzzled.

However, in the next second, another hard slap landed on his face!

This time, even if the thug was stupid, he knew what was going on, and his head was buzzing.

"You idiot. Get lost!" Diggory shouted angrily. He then quickly nodded and bowed to William. With a flattering expression, he said, "Mr. Jones, what a coincidence. This subordinate doesn't know the rules and didn't recognize you. If you still want to vent your anger, feel free to hit him."

With that, Diggory unceremoniously kicked the thug, causing him to fall to his knees with a thud. Terrified, the thug cried and begged, "Mr. Jones, please spare me. I was stupid. I deserve to die!"

He said as he began to slap himself.

Diggory was the bald man who had caused trouble for William when he was dining with Harper and Betty before!

William frowned and said, "It seems the lesson from last time wasn't enough."

When Diggory heard this, his heart skipped a beat. He now wished he could tear the thug apart. How dare he provoke William?

Diggory quickly smiled obsequiously, saying, "You must be joking."

Seeing Diggory's fawning attitude toward William, the thug knew he was in big trouble.

He quickly knelt there, begging for mercy, "Mr. Jones, I was wrong. I was stupid. I shouldn't have had any designs about your woman. I was wrong. Please spare me."

"Spare you?" William said, looking coldly at the thug and sneered, "Didn't you just say you were going to kick me ass?"

Terrified, the thug shook his head frantically and said, "I'm sorry. I was wrong. I wouldn't dare. I was just talking nonsense. Please spare me."

"What wouldn't you dare? You dared to forcibly drag a woman away in front of so many people. What wouldn't you dare?" William sneered and looked at Diggory standing to the side. "You, go beat him up. If you go easy on him, I'll make sure kick you ass."

Diggory glanced at William, shivering from his icy gaze.

Without a word, he kicked the thug in the shoulder, cursed a few times, then squatted down, grabbed him, and started slapping him.

In no time, the thug's face was so swollen.

"Alright, crawl out," William said coldly.

The group of thugs immediately tried to run, with Diggory running the fastest.

However, William suddenly said coldly, "Are you deaf? I said crawl out!"

The group of thugs froze, looked at each other, and hesitated for a moment.

Then they knelt on the ground, held their heads, and crawled out of the bar.

All the bartenders looked at each other in shock.

William got up, grabbed Susan. who was drunken and unconscious, and called a few times.

"Who are you? Get away. Get lost!" Susan mumbled, struggling violently. William had no choice but to carry her in his arms.

Although Susan was drunk, she instinctively wrapped her arms around William's neck, leaning into his chest, mumbling, "Don't leave me. Don't leave!"

William was taken aback, looking at her face. His heart softened, and he said helplessly, "You was still the same as before."

He then said softly, "I'll take you back."

William took Susan to a nearby hotel, opened the door, and placed her on the bed. However, Susan had vomited quite a bit along the way, covering both William and herself in vomit.

William looked around and was about to leave, as he wasn't good at taking care of people.

Besides, it was just the two of them.

Even though Susan was his ex-fiancée, they couldn't stay in the same room.

But Susan was clearly very drunk, covered in vomit.

William stood there, looking at the flushed face of Susan on the bed.

"Forget it. It's just a simple favor," William comforted himself as he began to remove Susan's vomit-covered coat.

He placed her on the bed, covered her with a blanket, and sat by the bedside for a while, realizing that from this angle, Susan was incredibly beautiful!

For some reason, a few tears suddenly rolled down Susan's cheeks as she slept, causing a sudden pang in William's heart.

William sighed. Susan must have something on her mind; otherwise, she wouldn't have drunk so much.

It was late at night when he finally left the hotel.

The next morning, William received a call from Susan, asking him to prepare for an event in the afternoon.

It was related to BK Pharmaceuticals.

On the phone, William wanted to ask about last night, but Susan hung up directly, as if nothing had happened.

"What is going on with Susan? What is she up to?" William muttered.

In the ward, Mary looked at William's hesitant expression and asked, "What's wrong? Did something happen?"

William hesitated for a long time before saying, "Mary, Susan called me and invited me to a party. Should I go?"

Mary frowned slightly, then said generously, "If you want to go, then go. After all, your relationship with her can't end easily. Don't worry about me."

William looked at her, remained silent for a moment, and said, "Mary, trust me, I will handle my relationship with her properly."

Mary didn't say anything, just smiled faintly and then lay on the bed with her back to William.

William looked at her back, feeling very conflicted.

'Mary, wait for me. I'll sort things out with Susan," William silently vowed.

Around seven in the evening, various luxury cars were parked outside a lavish villa.

Maseratis, Porsches, Bentleys, Ferraris, and more stretched as far as the eye could see, making it look like a grand car show!

A young man and a woman stepped out of a Porsche. The woman wore a black, knee-length backless dress, with a beautiful face and a stunning figure, her eyes sparkling, attracting most people's attention as soon as she appeared.

The man, on the other hand, wore simple casual pants and a hoodie, with white sneakers.

They were Susan and William.

At this moment, Susan looked at William with disdain and said, "Didn't I tell you to dress nicely? What are you wearing? Are you doing this on purpose?"

Susan was very displeased. The party tonight was organized for William, yet he seemed so indifferent.

William shrugged and said, "Susan, it's already good enough that I came with you. Can you stop nitpicking?"

"And why did you want me to come?" he asked.

Susan stared at him for a moment, and then suddenly asked, "William, is Crescent Investment Group founded by you? Was the investment in BK Pharmaceuticals your plan? Does Mary know about this?"
