Mary's eyes sparkled as she looked at William, realizing that William was so dazzling and brilliant at this moment.
He was like a knight in the dark, always by her side, protecting her.

William glanced at Evander, who was cowering in the corner with his head in his hands. He approached, seized Evander by the hair, and hauled him to Lucian. Locking the private room's door, he fetched a chair, seating himself.
He crossed his arms and legs and said calmly, "Shall we talk?"
William locking the door was undoubtedly the biggest threat in Lucian's eyes, causing his eyelids to twitch uncontrollably!
William was too arrogant and overbearing, which meant he didn't take Lucian seriously at all!
Lucian knew that even though he had influence in Sunshine Bay City, at this moment, in this private room, he was just a worm!
He was still a bit confused about the current situation. What was going on?
He had spent his life in battles, so why was he facing such a setback from such an insignificant person?
He had investigated William, who was just an ordinary person with no background!
Now, even his eight personal bodyguards had been easily dealt with by William. What else could William not do?

"Now you know to admit your mistake? What were you doing earlier?" William said with a slight smile, which was full of mockery.
Meanwhile, Mary was terrified after witnessing Lucian, the leader of the Lotus Syndicate in Sunshine Bay City, being beaten by William!
Despite her great faith in William, she was still shocked.
She had tried several times to stop William, but he just said he would handle the situation, and she didn't need to worry.
Lucian spoke, "So how do you want to resolve this? Money? Name your price, and I'll give it to you immediately! Women? Just say the word, and I'll send them to your house tonight."
Being a tough guy, he naturally had some pride. He simply sat on the ground, assuming a negotiating posture with William.
William remained silent, rubbing his chin as he looked at Lucian and Evander, who were lying on the ground, too scared to speak.
'Evander, you really are something, not daring to speak up until now,' William thought.
Lucian assumed his offer hadn't moved William, so he continued, "If that's not enough, I have a dozen properties in Lindwood City, all villas. You can have a few of them!"
"Companies, how about companies? I'll transfer a few to you tomorrow."
"Cars, I have all kinds of luxury cars. If you want to drive them, just take them."
Lucian listed a series of tempting offers in one breath, each one very alluring, but William remained unmoved!
William rubbed his chin and shook his head, and a playful smile appeared on his face. Pointing at Lucian, he said, "Go ahead, slap him. Keep going until I tell you to stop!"
Evander's mind went blank instantly!
William's demand was for Lucian to slap him!
Lucian's eyebrows furrowed as he looked at Evander, who was kneeling beside him, and saw fear flashing in his eyes!
Evander shouted, "William! I'll kill you!"
He quickly got up from the ground and rushed over, trying to strangle William!
But William raised his hand, and, with a swift slap, Evander felt dizzy!
William asked, "Are you going to slap him or not?"
He coldly stared at Lucian and said, "If you don't slap him, I'll slap you!"
Hearing this, Lucian couldn't care less about his friendship with Evander. He got up and slapped Evander's face hard!
The slap was loud and even harsher than William's!
Evander was instantly enraged, covering the five-fingered handprint on his cheek, his eyes wide open as he shouted, "Lucian, how dare you hit me!"
Lucian responded with another sound slap.
Evander's anger surged, and regardless of Lucian's status, he pounced on him, and the two started wrestling!
However, Evander was no match for Lucian and was pinned on the sofa, getting slapped repeatedly!
William shrugged and turned to Mary with a mischievous smile, saying, "Look, they're fighting each other now."
Mary rolled her eyes at him, quickly grabbed William, and pulled him out of the private room.
William looked at Lucian and Evander on the floor, shook his head helplessly, and followed her out.
He knew what Mary was worried about, so he didn't go too far.
After all, he was currently under the family ban and couldn't be too ostentatious.
Eventually, only Lucian and Evander, disheveled and bruised, remained in the private room.
Lucian stood up from Evander, who was bleeding, and coldly said, "Stop pretending. They're gone."
Evander finally took a breath, glanced at the door, and, with a sinister look, asked, "What are you going to do?"
Lucian glanced at the bodyguards sprawled on the floor, took out his phone from his pocket, and commanded, "Notify my men to immediately surround Radiant Glow Hotel!"
After saying that, Lucian smashed his phone on the ground, his face full of malice and his eyes filled with murderous intent and he declared, "I've never been this humiliated before, William. I will make sure you die without a trace! I'll show you my wrath!"
William walked out and met Harper, signaling Mary to wait in the car.
"Hurry back. I'm worried Evander and his men won't let this go," Mary said with concern, smiling at Harper.
'Harper is indeed naturally beautiful with a mature woman's charm!' William marveled in his heart.
Harper walked over and asked proactively, "How did the talk go?"
"Talk about what?" William said with a slight smile, looking at Harper. Her figure was very alluring. No wonder men all liked such a stunner.
Harper snorted coldly, "Playing dumb, are we? Evander brought Lucian from Sunshine Bay City, a man of considerable influence!"
William said indifferently, "You seem to know quite a bit. Just a small Lucian. If they knew my identity, they'd probably beg me."
Harper sneered, "You sure talk big. I'm really curious where you get such confidence from. I've heard you're just a useless son-in-law of the Smith Family, with no real skills."
While speaking, she wore a probing smile, subtly suggesting her desire to learn everything about him.
William fell silent for a moment, sizing up Harper, and suddenly asked, "Are you interested in anti-cancer drugs?"
Harper's smile remained, and she unabashedly said, "It's not me who's interested. It's the Price family."
"The Price family from Radiant Harbor City?" William was taken aback.
