Chapter 164 I'll Handle It for You
As soon as Nathan walked in, he glared angrily at Logan, who was now too scared to breathe.
"Mr. Sullivan, if you have need, just call me. There's no need for you to come here personally."
Logan forced a smile, bowing even lower.
"What, do I need to report to you wherever I go?"
Nathan's face was dark as he stared at Logan.
"No, no, you misunderstood me. I meant..."
Logan was so panicked that he was about to kneel.
'What is wrong with Nathan today? Why is he so angry?' Logan was really puzzled.
"Stop talking nonsense! Let me ask you, what kind of attitude did you show this gentleman just now? You made him guard the door?"
Nathan questioned Logan harshly.
Was this guy out of his mind?
He actually made this young master from a powerful family guard the door for the company?
That was sheer madness!
Even a few Orion Pharmaceuticals wouldn't be enough to compensate.
While shouting angrily, Nathan looked at William with a fawning smile.
It was he who single-handedly destroyed HT Pharmaceuticals and the Garcia family.
'He is obviously so powerful but still acts so weak. Is it because of the beautiful woman and the fierce lady in front of him?' Nathan speculated silently but couldn't figure it out.
However, he knew that someone who could quietly wipe out the Garcia family must not like to show off or draw attention.
"I'm sorry, I was wrong..."
Logan didn't dare to breathe, and his forehead was covered in cold sweat.
Nathan glared at Logan, wishing he could kick him out. If they offended William, they wouldn't even know how they died. Upon seeing William's puzzled expression, Nathan breathed a slight sigh of relief.
"I'm sorry, it's my fault for not managing well. My subordinate offended you."
Nathan now looked like a fawning servant, bowing and showing great respect. Everyone was dumbfounded. Nathan, the Chairman of Orion Pharmaceuticals, was now speaking respectfully to William. What was going on? Margaret's eyes were wide open, completely confused. William was also puzzled, he didn't know Nathan at all.
As Nathan saw William frown slightly, he panicked and quickly turned to Logan, shouting, "Come here and apologize!"
Apologize to this loser? Logan was shocked and unwilling to do so. He was, after all, the company's HR manager. Apologizing to this loser would be humiliating.
"Mr. Sullivan, I'm the company's HR manager, and I didn't do anything wrong. Someone like him can only guard the door."
Logan gritted his teeth and explained. Nathan angrily slapped Logan across the face, which made Logan wide-eyed and speechless.
"Are you refusing to apologize? Fine, you're fired right now!"
Nathan was completely furious. Couldn't Logan read the room at all?
Logan was now utterly deflated. He quickly ran over to William, bent over, and apologized, "Mr. Jones, I'm sorry. I was wrong. I shouldn't have humiliated you."
William couldn't even be bothered to look at Logan. Logan was just a pawn, colluding with Isaac. However, was now more interested in Nathan. It seemed like he knew something.
As Nathan saw William look at him, he panicked immediately.
'What did this mean? Not accepting the apology? Got it!' Nathan thought to himself.
"Logan, you're fired. As of now, you're no longer the HR manager of Orion Pharmaceuticals. Get out," Nathan said coldly, waving his hand to indicate Logan was fired.
Logan was now in a complete panic. He knelt on the ground, clutching Nathan's trousers, and begged, "Mr. Sullivan, I was wrong. Please give me another chance."
However, Nathan looked at Logan coldly and had the security guards drag him out. Logan cried out loudly, cursing Isaac in his heart.
Isaac, on the other hand, scrutinized William with a slight frown. This guy seemed a bit unusual. But he couldn't figure out what was special about William. Was it just his imagination?
"Mr. Jones, are you satisfied with this punishment?" Nathan asked with a fawning smile.
"It's acceptable." William nodded.
Nathan finally breathed a sigh of relief. Heglanced at Isaac, and then said to William, "Mr. Jones, if it's convenient for you, could we talk privately?"
William didn't think much of it and followed Nathan to the side.
"Mr. Jones, here's my business card. I've heard some things about the HT Pharmaceuticals incident."
Nathan got straight to the point, not intending to hide anything.
William understood immediately and nodded. He asked, "What do you want from me?"
Nathan almost shouted in excitement, "Mr. Jones, you've misunderstood. I just wanted to get to know you."
William smiled and said, "Alright, I'll keep your card. If I need anything, I'll contact you. And of course, if you need anything, you can reach out to me. You're quite impressive."
Upon earing William's praise, Nathan felt as if he had eaten honey, nodding and bowing repeatedly.
Soon, the group left the Orion Pharmaceuticals building.
Once outside, Mary curiously pulled William aside and asked, "Do you know Nathan from Orion Pharmaceuticals?"
William shook his head and said, "No, I don't."
Mary wanted to ask more, but Margaret impatiently urged, "What are you doing? Get in the car."
Mary didn't ask further and got into the car. Just as William was about to get in, Isaac signaled to him. William said to Mary, "Mary, wait a moment. I'm going to have a smoke."
Mary nodded, while Margaret grumbled, "Smoking again!"
William didn't say anything and followed Isaac to a nearby garden.
In front of Mary, Isaac had been somewhat amiable, but now that they were alone, his face turned dark, and he spoke harshly, "William, I hope you leave Mary. Just a piece of advice for you."
William frowned and couldn't help but laugh. "Isaac, what right do you have to say that? Mary is my wife."
"So what? Let me tell you the truth, I love Mary. I came back this time to take her abroad. Being with you is beneath her," Isaac said in a deep voice.
William, with his hands in his pockets, replied coldly, "Mary told me about it. That was years ago, and you still can't let it go? Be magnanimous and look forward. By the way, don't mess with me, or you'll regret it."
Isaac sneered. "You're so confident. I don't know what Mary sees in you. But I advise you to leave her. You can't give her anything. Only I, Isaac, can give Mary everything she wants."
"Everything she wants?" William was genuinely puzzled.
Isaac nodded. "Everything! Luxury cars, villas, money, designer bags and watches, and a promising future. Can you provide that?"
As he spoke, he raised his hand to show off the latest Cartier watch on his wrist, which was very expensive.
Isaac continued, "You being with her is a mismatch. Only someone with my wealth and connections can give her a bright future. Do you understand?"
"I understand." William nodded, then smiled. "But sorry, I can't do that."
"Don't be ungrateful!"
Isaac was furious. He had tried to reason with William, but William just didn't get it.
However, William ignored him and turned to leave.
Isaac gritted his teeth in frustration and muttered, "Fine, I have plenty of time to play this game with you."
When back home, Mary went straight to the bedroom.
Margaret was still angry. She scolded William in the living room for a while before turning and going into the bedroom herself.
William quietly pushed open the door and saw Mary lying on her side on the bed. He asked, "What's wrong?"
Mary softly hummed, "Nothing, just a bit tired."
Feeling concerned, William walked over and gently removed her high heels. He said to Mary softly, "Mary, I was wrong today. I shouldn't have lost my temper with you. I should have trusted you..."
Before he could finish, Mary sat up and hugged him tightly. Mary began to sob quietly, "William, I love you. I really love you. Please don't do that again, okay? There's really nothing between Isaac and me."
William smiled gently, holding Mary tenderly, and said, "Okay, I promise."
They hugged for a while and then exchanged smiles. William playfully tapped Mary's nose and wiped her tear-streaked face. Suddenly, he asked, "By the way, what's going on with your company? Maybe I can help."
Mary sighed, looking very anxious. "I don't think you can help. We've started our collaboration with Sunshine Bay City Hospital Branch, but now no pharmaceutical company in the city is willing to work with us. I'm so frustrated. Even our old clients have stopped working with us."
"Right now, we have a lot of orders piling up and have already lost two billion!"
Mary looked very distressed.
"Is it a money issue?" William asked.
Mary shook her head and then nodded. "We need to pay breach of contract penalties, at least six billion. And the ongoing collaboration with Sunshine Bay City Hospital Branch is still up unresolved.Mr. Hall is also getting very anxious."
William frowned. Six billion was no small amount.
"Don't worry. I'll help you solve it," William said calmly, holding Mary's hand.
"Really?"
Mary's eyes glistened with tears, filled with excitement and hope. But then she thought for a moment and said, "Alright, thank you. I know you care about me, but there's nothing you can do about this."
Mary gave a bitter smile.
Even if William's family had some money, six billion in breach of contract penalties was a huge amount. Could he really help?
Obviously not possible.
William understood what Mary was worried about but didn't say anything. After chatting with Mary for a while, he made an excuse to go to the hospital to see Sarah and then left.
As soon as he stepped out, William called George.
"George."
The call connected.
"Mr. Jones, what can I do for you?" George's tone was as respectful as ever.
"Help me buy BK Pharmaceuticals and notify the family's pharmaceutical companies to collaborate with BK Pharmaceuticals."
