Chapter 207 It's a Villa, Do You Want to See It?
Jessica was speechless, her face reddening slightly, a cold glint in her eyes.
She said, "Spare the Hayes family; they'll get what they deserve."
She took a deep breath, quickly regaining her composure as twilight flickered. For the first time, she realized she had underestimated William. Over the past seven years, he had become a mystery.
The rumors about him being a useless loser were all false. 'William, you're good at hiding your true self,' she thought.
William stayed silent, his eyes cold, stepping forward and making Jessica step back. "What if I say I won't?" he said, exuding authority.
Zoe, standing beside Jessica, immediately moved in front of her protectively. "Madam!" she said softly.
Jessica shook her head, signaling Zoe to step aside. She raised an eyebrow at William. "What do you want to trade?"
She hadn't expected things to escalate like this. If not for her promise to her late sister to care for the Hayes family, she wouldn't be negotiating so humbly.
In her eyes, no one could negotiate with her!
"Trade?" William grinned, glancing at Xavier and Isaac on the ground. "I want to take Mary and Sarah back to Skyheart Island. You must not interfere and fully cooperate with me. If anyone objects, you will be standing against me!"
Jessica's frown deepened, her expression growing colder. She let out a cold laugh, her aura rising, making her seem like a proud queen.
"So this is your plan, William. Do you think even if I agree, they will?" she said. "Do you know how many people are eyeing the Jones family and Skyheart Island?"
She added, "You want to take Mary back, a nobody. You're challenging them. Even your father wouldn't dare!"
Jessica's eyes flashed coldly, her face reddening. William was so presumptuous! Taking Mary and Sarah back to Skyheart Island would definitely cause a stir. If things got out of control, even Jessica would be caught off guard!
William just smiled faintly. "Don't worry about me; just take care of yourself. I must take Mary and Sarah back to Skyheart Island, and no one can stop me! Mary is my wife, and Sarah is my daughter; they belong to the Jones family! Skyheart Island is ours, and it will stay that way. Whether it's you, Jessica, the Miller family of Sunshine Bay City, those old fools, or anyone else who covets Skyheart Island or the Jones family, I'll make them disappear!"
As he finished, a thunderclap boomed, and lightning split the night sky, adding to the dramatic moment. Everyone was startled.
William, exuding coldness and killing intent, looked down at Jessica like an emperor.
Jessica suddenly felt very small. Was this the confidence and courage of the Jones family? She had underestimated William, letting him grow for seven years, and now he had the demeanor of an emperor.
After a moment of silence, Jessica said, "Fine, I agree, but don't expect me to help you."
William grinned, his intimidating aura vanishing as he returned to his usual self. "Thanks, dear Aunt Jessica."
He then looked at Xavier. "I don't want to see this Xavier again. Any suggestions?"
Jessica understood.
With a glance from Jessica, Zoe broke Xavier's limbs, and he passed out.
William no longer cared about the Hayes family; they were no longer important. There would soon be no more Hayes family in Lindwood City.
Jessica took one last look at William, got into her car, and left silently. Soon, all the people William brought with him withdrew. The Hayes Group was sealed off, and Kyle was taken away for investigation.
"I'll leave the rest to you; don't disappoint me," William said, glancing at Alan, who was stunned.
Even a sharp man like Alan almost couldn't grasp what had just happened. Everyone knew William wasn't just some nobody, but no one expected him to be quite somebody. Even the previous incident at the pharmaceutical factory wasn't as shocking as today.
"Yes," Alan bowed respectfully.
William patted Alan on the shoulder and walked away, thinking Alan was good and could be cultivated into a formidable figure.
"Mr. Jones, take care," Alan said.
"Mr. Jones, take care," echoed the hundred men in black suits behind Alan, standing in a row and shouting respectfully. It was quite a sight.
As William left, Lori, still in the hotel suite, watched his departing figure and felt completely panicked.
Lori was confused. Just as she was about to kiss William, the door burst open, and a dozen men in black suits rushed in, led by Alan, the Underground King of Lindwood City. Only then did Lori realize it was all a trap set by William, using her as bait.
She cursed inwardly, 'William, you bastard. I'll hate you forever!'
Meanwhile, William, humming a tune, lazily returned to the old Smith family house. At the door, a few shadows darted out and respectfully greeted him, "Mr. Jones, welcome back."
William nodded, and they all ran off with grins.
He tiptoed into the bedroom, where a beautiful figure lay on the bed, her curvaceous body outlined in the moonlight. William thought for a moment, then climbed into bed.
As soon as he lay down, Mary turned over and hugged him tightly, crying, "William, I'm sorry. I regret doubting you tonight. It's my fault. But I was so worried. I care about you so much. I'm afraid of losing you. I'm afraid Sarah will lose her father."
William was speechless, his heart aching. So, Mary was just afraid of losing him. He held her tightly and gently said, "Mary, I'm sorry. I was wrong, too."
Suddenly, a soft, cool kiss landed on William's lips. This happiness came too suddenly! In the night, two figures intertwined, the white moonlight resembling Mary's skin.
Suddenly, Mary pushed William off her. William was stunned and quickly rummaged through the drawers—no condoms!
'Please don't let there be a mistake at this critical moment.' he thought.
After searching for a while, there really were no condoms.
"How about we skip the condom tonight?" William said, feeling aggrieved.
Mary looked at him sternly. "No way. Forget it; let's sleep."
'Damn it!' William thought in frustration.
But Mary pulled up a thin blanket over herself, her exquisite curves still visible even under the cover.
"Mary, Mary," William pleaded.
Mary closed her eyes. "No, go to sleep."
William reluctantly washed his face with cold water and then lay down beside Mary, holding her as they slept. Mary, with her eyes closed, had a happy smile on her lips. That night was rare for both of them.
The next day, Margaret got up early and knocked on Mary's door, shouting, "Mary, get up! Don't forget, you're divorcing William today!"
'Divorce?' William was shocked, sitting dumbfounded on the bed, looking at the sleepy-eyed Mary beside him.
Mary, embarrassed and blushing, blinked her big eyes and stammered, "William, if I say it was just an angry outburst, will you blame me?"
William rubbed his forehead. Margaret had taken his angry words seriously. Helplessly, he pinched Mary's nose and said, "No, as long as you want, I'll do it."
Mary rolled her eyes at him, punched his chest, and said, "What nonsense are you talking about? I won't divorce you. You're my husband, Sarah's father. You'll never escape from me! I'm going to devour you!"
They playfully wrestled on the bed, ignoring Margaret's persistent knocking outside.
Margaret, puzzled, wondered what was going on inside the room. She squinted suspiciously at the door and was about to press her ear against it when it opened. Margaret almost fell over.
She saw Mary in William's arms, smiling happily. "Mom, we're not getting a divorce."
"What? No?" Margaret was dumbfounded, her nose flaring and eyes glaring. She threw her bag at William and cursed, "William, did you drug my daughter again? You useless piece of trash, who let you sleep in my house? Get out, now!"
William was stunned by the attack, clenching his fists in displeasure.
Mary saw his anger and glared at Margaret. "Mom, how can you be so unreasonable? William is your son-in-law; how can you tell him to get out?"
Margaret, furious, pointed at William and continued to scold, "Why? Because this house is mine, Margaret's, and he has to get out!"
Mary, enraged, stood up for William again. "Fine! If you kick William out today, I'll leave with him! I won't come back to this house!"
Mary was very angry, shouting back at Margaret. "You! You're driving me crazy!"
Margaret, trembling with anger, raised her hand and slapped Mary.
The slap made Mary's eyes well up with tears. She stomped her foot in frustration, packed her things, and pulled William along, saying, "Mom, you pushed me. I won't come back to this house!"
Margaret sat on the floor, slapping her thighs and crying, "Tyler, come out and look! What did I do to deserve this? Mary is siding with an outsider; how am I supposed to live? Fine, leave! I've sold your house! I want to see where you and William will live!"
William, with a cold face, walked out, glanced at the tantrum-throwing Margaret on the floor, and said, "Margaret, you're really ruthless, but let me tell you something. Mary and I have another house, a villa. Do you want to see it?"
