Chapter 30 You All Have to Kneel!
A group of people barged in, led by a very assertive middle-aged man.
Dressed in an expensive suit, he had the demeanor of a manager. Upon entering, he directly barked a question that startled the few staff members in the control room, who hurriedly stood up and said obsequiously, "Donovan, what brings you here?"
Donovan, the supervisor of Moon Amusement Park, was responsible for the facilities, personnel, safety, and operations of the amusement park.
In short, aside from the big boss, Donovan was the second-in-command of Moon Amusement Park.
Donovan nodded slightly, his gaze proud and piercing, and asked again coldly, "Who is William Jones?"
William frowned slightly and stepped forward, saying, "I am."
The few young people behind Donovan also rushed in, blocking the door.
Especially Herbert, the boy who had just been slapped by William, now pointed at him triumphantly and said, "Dad, it's him. He slapped me just now. You must teach him a harsh lesson!"
So, he had brought his father to cause trouble.
William raised an eyebrow, glanced at the young men, and didn't see Nancy among them, guessing she was too scared to come in.
"So it is you who hit my son?" Donovan was very angry; his son was his treasure, even he himself was reluctant to hit him, and yet a poorly dressed loser had dared to do so.
William did not explain, but simply asked calmly, "What do you want to do about it?"
"Ha! So you have a temper." Donovan looked at him disdainfully and said coldly, "Apologize to my son, and this matter will be over. Otherwise, I won't let you leave this place."
As soon as these words were spoken, the few staff members in the control room scattered, blocking the door, clearly ready for a confrontation.
Donovan watched William coldly, who simply scoffed and said, "Shouldn't you ask why your son was hit?"
What kind of father was this?
Coming up without any sense of right or wrong, demanding an apology from others, no wonder his son was so arrogant, he learned it all from his father.
Such a father and son, managing to live well, was truly a miracle.
"I don't care why, he's my son, and since you hit my son, you have to apologize!"
Donovan's tone was chilling, pulling rank like a big manager, very domineering.
What a joke, daring to question him. Didn’t this loser see what his status was?
Donovan's face was stern as he pushed his son forward and said, "Herbert, however you want to handle this, I will take care of it for you. If you want him to kneel and apologize, I'll make him kneel. He won't have a choice. He just slapped you, right? Go hit him ten times, don't be afraid, if anything happens, I’ll back you up."
Herbert, feeling empowered, arrogantly pointed at William, saying, "You, kneel down and apologize to me right now."
Proud and arrogant. The feeling of having his father's backing was truly exhilarating.
‘You just slapped me, now I'll return it tenfold.’
William's brow furrowed. He was anxious about Sarah 's situation and had no time to entangle with these unreasonable people.
He spoke coldly, "I advise you not to provoke me."
If they delayed his search for his daughter, William wouldn't mind giving this father and son a taste of what it was like to have their family destroyed.
Upon hearing this, Donovan sneered sinisterly, "Oh, are you threatening me? Do you know who I am?"
Was this a joke? A nobody dared to threaten him.
It had been years since someone dared to talk to him like that.
"I don't care who you are, I have urgent matters to attend to right now. Get out of my way," William's eyes turned cold, his gaze icy.
With that, William tried to push through the door.
But, Donovan waved his hand commandingly and said fiercely."Hold him down for me, I want to show this blind idiot what happens when you mess with Donovan!"
Suddenly, several staff members surrounded them, looking like a conflict was about to erupt.
Suddenly, a loud shout came from the doorway!
"Stop! What are you doing?"
Alan, sweating profusely, barged in, pushing a few people aside, standing protectively in front of William, glaring at Donovan like a venomous serpent.
What were these people trying to do? Dare to lay hands on Mr. Jones, they must have a death wish!
Donovan's expression darkened. Today he just wanted to get revenge for his son, but why were there so many complications?
"Who the hell are you? Get out of the way!" Donovan spoke unhappily, full of anger.
"Don't you recognize me?" Alan countered, his brows furrowed.
Donovan was taken aback, looked for a long time, and then laughed, "Are you stupid? Why should I know you? Oh, you're his friend? Fine, then today none of you are leaving. All of you, kneel down and apologize to my son."
Honestly, Donovan's behavior was truly reckless.
He was confronting Alan Jordan, the Underground Emperor of Lindwood City!
When had Alan ever been insulted like this?
Probably when he first started out, but that was over ten years ago. Since then, no one had dared to talk to him this way.
Donovan was the first.
And of course, the last.
Because, in Alan's eyes, he was already a dead man.
However, Donovan did not know how many times he had died in Alan's eyes.
He really didn't recognize Alan, having only heard the name.
"I'm Alan Jordan! Take your men and scram!" Alan roared, feeling humiliated for the first time, especially in front of William, no less.
Would William doubt his capabilities?
"Alan Jordan? Who's that? I don't recognize him." Donovan was irritated. After all, he was a high-ranking manager of an amusement park for many years, naturally had his pride, "Stop blabbering, apologize to my son now, or none of you are leaving!"
'Alan Jordan?'
Why did that sound familiar? But who cares, could he be more powerful than himself?
'I'm the manager here, the king of this place!'
Alan was enraged, his face turning red with anger. He pointed at Donovan and shouted, "Let's see who dares to move!"
How dare they treat him like dirt, they deserved to die!
"What are you waiting for? Why aren't you moving? Do you not want to work here anymore?" Donovan yelled at the staff members.
The staff looked at each other, wondering what this was all about.
But they had no choice; one word from Donovan, and they would lose their jobs.
"Sorry, both of you, could you just apologize to Donovan?" A staff member said with a forced smile.
"Impudent! Anyone who touches Mr. Jones will be my enemy!" Alan shouted, pulling out his phone and making a call, angrily saying, "Leon, come to the amusement park with your men, quick!"
Seeing the other party calling for backup, Donovan didn't dawdle, "Get the security team here. I want to see just how tough you are!"
Both sides were furious, like two powder kegs, just missing a spark.
William stood behind Alan, not wanting to waste time, "Sarah is still in the amusement park. Get your people to search. I don't want my time wasted, understand?"
Alan bowed respectfully and said, "William, I’m sorry for the trouble. I’ve already arranged for people to come. We’ll deal with this ignorant fool immediately."
William nodded and stood aside, silently watching.
Before long, five men in black security uniforms burst into the small control room, each holding a stun baton or something similar.
"Donovan, the second squad of the security team is assembled, just tell us who to take care of." The squad leader of the security team, Leon, now stood at attention saluting in front of Donovan, his face full of smiles.
Leon was Donovan's brother-in-law.
Donovan pointed at Alan and William behind him and ordered, "Take those two, beat them up first, I'll take responsibility if anything happens."
As soon as Leon heard this, he looked at Alan with a silly grin, waved his hand, and said, "Guys, get to work."
Just as the security team was about to charge, Alan was furious and roared, "Whoever dares to move, I, Alan Jordan, will not let them off!"
Leon and his brother-in-law were of the same mold, cursing and saying, "Alan Jordan? Do you think you're the Underground Emperor of Lindwood City? With that look of yours, oh, and a tattoo, pretending to be a gangster? You're just a namesake, who are you trying to fool? Come over here and bow, or you'll taste the stun baton."
After speaking, he brandished his stun baton, which crackled with blue sparks.
Then, with a sneer, he approached Alan and William, demanding, "Will you kneel or not?"
Just then, a furious shout rose from behind the crowd!
"Get the hell out of my way!"
From behind the crowd, a dozen burly men strode forward, the leader was a buzz-cut iron man in an army green short-sleeved shirt and pants, his dark skin making him look strong and powerful.
Such a presence, so imposing, so domineering!
The group of a dozen men pushed aside the security guards like scattering chicks.
"Who the hell are you guys? Don't you see I'm handling things here?" Leon grumbled discontentedly.
"Shut up!"
Donovan's face changed dramatically when he saw the leader with a tiger tattoo on his arm, breaking out in a cold sweat, and he slapped his brother-in-law across the face.
"Donovan?" Leon, holding his face, looked bewilderedly at Donovan.
But Donovan had already approached quickly, his face full of smiles, "Craig, what a rare visit! What brings you here?"
Seeing Donovan's fawning attitude, everyone was baffled.
Who was this man? Why did it seem like Donovan was somewhat afraid of him?
"Could it be that you, the top enforcer under Alan Jordan, the big boss of Lindwood City?"
"Holy crap! No way, Craig? He's the big brother of NH Street, even Donovan has to bow to him!"
"Why is he here? Could it be that Mr. Jordan has also arrived?"
Donovan's people whispered in shock.
While everyone was puzzled, Craig didn't even glance at Donovan, who had come up to him, and simply pushed him aside.
In Donovan's astonished gaze, Craig led his men to Alan and William and bowed deeply
"Mr. Jones."
"I'm sorry for being late."
The dozen or so men in black bowed in unison, "Greetings, Mr. Jordan, greetings, Mr. Jones."
The room fell silent, you could hear a pin drop.
The people present looked at Alan and William with incredulous eyes, their eyes wide in disbelief.
Herbert and his father Donovan stood petrified, their hands trembling slightly.
He was completely dumbfounded.
'What is happening?'
