Chapter 25 Everything is Up to William
William nodded lightly, his attitude cold, and stood up, saying, "Charles, do you have any objections to what I did?"
Charles looked at Patrick, who was groaning in pain on the ground, and said, "He brought this upon himself. Your punishment is a blessing for him."
Patrick was disabled, and his uncle called it a blessing.
Alan took a deep breath, realizing that William's identity was extraordinary, but he didn't expect him to be so powerful!
This was Professor Charles, the medical authority, he has treated many prominent figures in his lifetime. Such connections were invaluable! With just a word from Charles, Alan could fall from grace instantly.
Looking at Patrick, who was lying on the ground, he looked at Charles and groaned. "Charles, help me."
Charles was furious, though he didn't know exactly what mistake his nephew had made, it was certainly a grave one!
"Director Ward, take Patrick away and give him medical treatment."
Charles said coldly. "Notify the hospital that Patrick Rivera is stripped of all positions. From now on, he is to remain in Sunshine Bay City. If he dares to step outside, break his legs!"
Director Ward, who had entered the private room, bowed respectfully and said. "Yes, Sir."
Then, Patrick was carried out.
Herbert, who had been watching everything from the door, now looked intently at William. This young man was extraordinary.
After a while, Herbert reached out with both hands, full of smiles, and greeted him, saying, "Hello, I am Herbert Peterson."
This was an opportunity! Herbert, who was part of the system, understood that someone who could be treated so seriously by Charles must have an extraordinary background.
William hesitated and looked at Herbert, then calmly reached out and shook his hand, saying, "William Jones."
Alan, still in shock, watched this exchange. Herbert had actually shown up!
He actually brought a group of people to the box in front of Herbert, wasn't this looking for death!
Herbert also noticed Alan. He knew this person, whose power was somewhat complicated.
"Alan, what do you mean by bringing so many people here?" Herbert questioned.
He was a leader, how could he tolerate such a force.
Although Alan's background was a bit complicated, but since he had encountered it, he naturally wanted to question him.
Alan looked at William with a look of grievance and said, "William!"
In his early days, Alan Jordan had risen through the ranks as a tough guy, but in recent years, he had cleaned up his act and transitioned to legitimate business, becoming a major taxpayer.
William knew that Alan's complex background and said in a low voice, "Alan Jordan is my man. If there's any issue, I'm willing to accompany him for any investigation."
Of course, an investigation could be conducted. Alan's background was now clean, and he was a well-known local entrepreneur in Lindwood City. He also established the TH Charity Organization.
It could be said that Alan had completely entered the sunlight industry.
Those previous cases of his had been settled.
Herbert was momentarily stunned, glancing at Charles before smiling. "No need for that if you say so."
William did not say anything, but left the room with Charles and discussed the surgery of Sarah on the way.
After leaving the Star Club, William looked at the three-story building, his eyes cold, and said, "This place has no reason to exist. Tear it down."
Alan Jordan respectfully complied and made a call. Soon, three bulldozers arrived and demolished Star Club, leveling it to the ground. This event shocked Lindwood City and dominated local news.
Some even captured photos of William Jones and his companions, making it to the headlines.
William got into the Audi and continued to discuss Sarah's condition with Charles in the car.
Charles had been studying Sarah 's condition for almost half a month.
The answer given was an 80% cure rate! That was a very high chance!
After going to the hospital and seeing Mary, who was already fine, she was just scared and still sleeping.
Just as he came out of the hospital, William, followed by Charles, Herbert, and Alan, received a call from his father-in-law.
Tyler was very angry and shouting, "William! Where the hell are you? What about the painting I asked you to deliver?"
William's head buzzed, and he just remembered that he was supposed to deliver the painting to the Eagle Trade Showroom this morning.
How could he forget about this!
Without thinking, William said anxiously, "Take me to the old house on South Street."
Alan immediately opened the door of his Mercedes and respectfully welcomed William into the car.
Charles and Herbert also prepared to welcome William into their own cars, but Alan was faster.
"Follow the car," Charles said.
Then, five Audi cars followed closely behind the Mercedes, all the way to the old house on South Street.
The car did not stop at the entrance of the old house, because William’s mother-in-law was at home.
So, William found a place to get off the car, and then ran into the old house and knocked on the door, "Mom, I'm here to get the painting."
Margaret opened the door, her face displeased, and scolded, "Where have you been? Do I have to deliver it myself? What do you even do all day, loafing around?"
Listening to Margaret's angry scolding, William could only smile awkwardly, nodding repeatedly and apologizing, and took the prepared gift box from the coffee table in the living room, and then left the house in a hurry.
His mother-in-law's scolding echoed behind him, "How did my daughter end up marrying such a good-for-nothing? Such bad luck!"
Margaret’s harsh words carried down the street, making Alan, Charles, Herbert, and the others wince.
Encountering such a mother-in-law was a rare find. But, William was so powerful, why should he endure it?
"Head to Eagle Trade Showroom. You don't need to follow. We can discuss any matters tomorrow," William looked at Charles and others who were still following, and said indifferently.
He got in the car and head straight to the Eagle Trade Showroom.
At the Eagle Trade Showroom, all the arrangements were ready, and the whole exhibition hall was also a feeling of high spirits.
However, in the main hall, a crowd was growing impatient, particularly Tyler Smith, who looked displeased.
With his hands behind his back, a face of displeasure, he said, "That William always screwing things up. I asked him to deliver a painting, and he's still not here!"
The exhibition had already started, but the most important finale, the million-dollar painting, had not arrived yet.
This made Tyler very anxious! He had finally been able to show off in front of a group of old friends, and even some well-known collectors, but his son-in-law was ruining it.
How could he not be angry?
Matthew was now standing beside Tyler, unable to suppress a cold smile on his face, saying, "Tyler, I think William doesn't respect you at all. Being late for such an important event is a disgrace."
This guy was really bad! At such a crucial moment, he kept causing trouble.
Tyler snorted, "I don't acknowledge him as my son-in-law!"
The people in the hall were all art enthusiasts of the Lindwood City collectors’ circle, and they grew restless.
"Tyler, we all came with your invitation, what do you want us to see? Where’s the painting?"
"The things in those exhibition halls are not interesting, we are waiting for this painting, how long do we have to wait, give a definite answer."
Trying to appease the crowd, Tyler forced a smile, "It's coming, my son-in-law is already on his way."
'Damn you, William, after this exhibition was over, I’ll make sure he divorces Mary!'
"Tyler, having your good-for-nothing son-in-law send the painting, isn't it an insult to the painting?"
In the crowd, a middle-aged man with graying hair sneered.
The balding man was Tyler's archenemy, and he was intent on embarrassing Tyler in public.
Tyler snorted and ignored him, but he was even more dissatisfied with William in his heart.
Just then, William arrived in Alan's car, stopping outside Eagle Trade Showroom. After ensuring no one recognized him, he got out and ran into the venue.
Alan followed discreetly, pretending to be an attendee.
William, with a gift box in his arms, ran to Hall C, Area 1.
Just as he appeared at the entrance of the exhibition hall, sharp-eyed Matthew shouted, "William is here!"
He rushed over, snatching the painting from William Jones and scolding loudly, "William, where have you been? Why did it take so long to deliver the painting? Did you go to fool around with some woman?"
Matthew had seen William in Patricia's car, so he deliberately made a loud accusation.
